  • Patent number: 4896423
Abstract: An improved eating fork having a conventional handle, an extended flat body portion and a plurality of short conical tines each having a small smoothly rounded end. The short tines project along parallel axes from the forward end of the flat body portion extending from the fork's handle. The body portion has a width slightly greater than the distance across the bases of the plurality of tines. The flat body portion of the improved fork contains in its upper surface a generally rectangular depression. The tines have a length about one fifth the length of the fork's flat body portion. The surfaces which join the tines to the flat body portion are all curved and all surfaces of the fork are polished during manufacture of the fork.

  • Patent number: 4884817
Abstract: A three dimensional game played by two players each having five identical playing pieces. The game is played on three similar boards or grids lying in three vertically spaced parallel planes. Each board contains thirteen spaces, nine of which form a central square with one of the four remaining spaces lying adjacent to the center of each of the four sides of the central square. To begin the game, the first player places one of his five pieces in the four outermost spaces and in the central space of the uppermost gameboard called the Alpha grid while the opposing player places his five pieces in the corresponding spaces of the lowermost gameboard called the Omega grid. The middle board is called the neutral grid. The central space of the Alpha and the Omega grids is that player's base and the object of the game is to capture the opponent's base by landing a piece on it or by first capturing all of the opponent's pieces.

  • Patent number: 4826079
Abstract: Mechanism for adjustably moving two separate series of water fountain nozzles. The mechanism includes a pair of elongated push rods being driven in opposite directions by a single electric motor having two eccentric arms. The push rods are each separately connected to a spaced series of fountain nozzle assemblies by a slip ring adjustably connected to an elongated length of pipe forming part of each nozzle assembly. By varying the location of the slip ring along the length of the nozzle assembly's pipe, infinite variations in the extent of the arc through which the nozzle's tip will sweep during oscillation of the push bars is achieved.

  • Patent number: 4803876
Abstract: Apparatus for providing a sight glass in the lower gearcase of a marine engine wherein the gearcase has a circular opening in its side. The circular opening has three concentric segments, the outermost segment has the largest diameter and is internally threaded. The center segment is sized to accomodate a disc-shaped transparent sight glass. The innermost segment has a diameter less than the center segment and the surface between the center and innermost segments contains an annular groove. An O-ring or resilient waterproof material fits into the annular groove and the disc-shaped sight glass is fitted into the center segment of the opening in the grearcase with its outer edge pressed against the O-ring. A ring-shaped window cover is then threadedly fitted into the outermost segment of the opening in the gearcase and firmly pressed against the sight glass and locked in place by a lock nut screwed into a threaded hole in the adjoining edges of the window cover and the gearcase.

  • Patent number: 4793331
Abstract: Apparatus including an oral syringe for attachment to a shower head for cleaning the teeth and gums while showering. The oral syringe is connected to water flowing under pressure to the shower head through a unique valving assembly which diverts a manually adjustable portion of the water flowing to the shower head into a passageway lying at right angles to the direction of the flow of the water into the shower head. A manually adjustable valve stem including an O-ring valve is located in the passageway and controls the flow of water through an axial passageway in the valve stem. A flexible hose connected to the rear end of the valve stem conveys the water to the oral syringe. The valve stem also controls a diverter valve which can be adjusted to cut off the flow of water to the shower head in the event of low water line pressure to insure sufficient water pressure to the oral syringe for proper cleaning of the teeth and gums.
