Abstract: A tightening tool 1 including an elastic body 2 in the form of a belt, rope, tube, etc. for forming a tightening loop L adapted to surround a desired part of muscles and tighten it, and locking means 3 for holding the tightening loop L at a desired size. A muscle training method for accelerating enlargement and strengthening of the muscles can be practiced by the tightening tool to temporarily block the flow of blood to the desired part of the muscles.
Abstract: This invention relates to the process for the preparation of polyurethane with controlled particle size and shape. More, particularly it relates to the production of polyurethane microspheres from a diol and diisocyanate by dispersion polymerization in presence of a steric stabilizer and a catalyst in an organic solvent at a controlled temperature, and finally separating the spherical polyurethane particles from the reaction mixture by conventional means.

Abstract: An air pump includes a first sheet, a second sheet, an inflation valve and a check valve. The second sheet is directly connected to the first sheet so as to form a chamber. The inflation valve is provided on the chamber to lead air into the chamber when the chamber is extended. The check valve is also provided on the chamber to discharge the air in the chamber when the chamber is compressed. The air pump can be built in an inflatable product.
Abstract: A power supply includes a housing, a printed circuit board, at least one electrical element and a fan assembly. The housing has an interior and an exterior. The printed circuit board is provided in the interior of the housing, while the electrical element is attached onto the printed circuit board. The fan assembly is also provided in the interior of the housing. The fan assembly includes a shell and a fan. The shell includes two surface boards and plural side walls connected between the two surface boards. The interior and the exterior of the housing are communicated by a first hole formed on one of the two surface boards and at least one second hole formed on one of the plural side walls. The fan is mounted in the shell to ventilate the interior of the housing through the first hole and the second hole.
Abstract: A method for quickly identifying floating cells by a bit-line coupling pattern (BLCP), an electronic analysis method, identifies floating cells by inputting different background data and inducing net charges from adjacent bit-lines to the bit-lines corresponding to floating cells by coupling parasitic capacitors, wherein the floating results from open bit-line contacts and/or open DRAM cell contacts. Moreover, a method for identifying floating cells according to the invention has the advantages of high efficiency and low cost.
Abstract: A bucket that children cannot put over their head, having a bottom wall, side walls, a removable lid and a non-pivoting U-shaped handle. The side walls project upwardly from the bottom wall and form an opening having circumscribing edges. The removable lid fits in the circumscribing edges for closing the bucket. The non-pivoting U-shaped handle has opposite side legs slidably mounted onto the side walls. The U-shaped handle also has stopping means for limiting sliding of the handle between a first position where the U-shaped handle bears against the lid when the same is fitted in the circumscribing edges and a second position where the U-shaped handle extends away from the lid and thus makes it possible to remove the lid from the circumscribing edges. Thus, the U-shaped handle, both in first and second positions, divides the opening into two smaller openings which are smaller than a child's head, thus children cannot put the bucket over their head.
Abstract: A debris entry preventing member A of an air-cooled type internal combustion engine E is made of a flexible sheet material as a whole and includes a mounting portion 7 to be mounted on a mounting component 15, which will be attached to the internal combustion engine E, and a debris capturing portion 4 having a multiplicity of ventilation holes 5. When the mounting component 15 is attached to the internal combustion engine E, the debris entry preventing member A is mounted thereon together with the mounting component 15 so that the debris capturing portion 4 covers a cooling air intake port 11. As a result, a job for mounting the debris entry preventing member can be easily carried out, no screws and the like are needed for mounting it, the debris entry preventing member can be easily manufactured and its cost can be reduced.
Abstract: An ink jet printhead of the present invention includes a plurality of printhead elements (1) each having a plurality of ink injecting holes (10), a flat flexible cord (2) electrically connected to the respective printhead elements (1), and ink distributing member (5) to supply the respective printhead elements (1) with ink. Each printhead element (1) has a head element body (11) made of a resin material, and the head element body (11) has a front wall portion (1a) in which the plurality of ink injecting holes (11) are formed. The head element body has side surfaces (11a) formed with a plurality of dented groove-shaped ink passageways communicating with the respective ink injecting holes (10), and each side surface supports a diaphragm (12) carrying a plurality of piezoelectric elements (13) corresponding to the respective ink passageways.
Abstract: A method for fabricating a cylindrical capacitor is provided. This invention uses a composite structure composed of stacked barrier/scarificing/mask layers to prevent the contact plug of the capacitor from being attacked by wet etchants. An insulating layer is formed over a substrate having a source region, a drain region, and a gate electrode. Then a barrier layer, a sacrificing layer and a mask layer are sequentially formed over the insulating layer. Next, a contact hole is formed over the source region and spacers are formed on the sidewalls of the contact hole. After a storage electrode of the capacitor is formed and exposed portions of the mask layer are removed, the sacrificing layer is isotropically etched using the spacers and the barrier layer as stopping layers. Thereafter, a capacitor dielectric layer and an opposite electrode are formed over the storage electrode thereby completing the capacitor.
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide an apparatus for localizing a sound image capable of achieving so called "surround-effect" sufficiently with a simple structure while maintaining a sufficient width of a frontal sound field. Both surround left and surround right signals SL, SR are supplied to a sideward localizer 12 for localizing the sound image reproduced by the signals to positions of sideward of a listener. Also, front left and front right signals FL, FR are supplied to the sideward localizer 12. In this way, the sound image reproduced by the signals is localized at positions between speakers arranged in front side and sidewards of the listener, so that a sufficient width of frontal sound field can be maintained eventually.
Abstract: A light emitting semiconductor device is provided which comprises a common substrate having a support surface, and a plurality of laminate structures formed at different regions on the support surface of the common substrate. Each of the laminate structures has at least one N-type layer, a light emitting layer and at least one P-type layer. The light emitting layer emits light at least perpendicularly to the support surface of the substrate. The laminate structures at the different regions are made to emit light of a different wavelength.
Abstract: A portable power machine comprises a longitudinally extending rod having an output control and a brake control. From the brake control, a brake action member and a brake gang member control are extended in the opposite directions from each other. A brake gang member and an output gang member have abutting portions to restrict output to the working member by the output control when the working member is in the braked state and to restrict the brake control of the working member when the working member is driven by the output of the motor.
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for drying a semiconductor wafer. The semiconductor wafer is first dipped in a liquid with a volatility higher than water and which is miscible with water. The dipped semiconductor wafer is then delivered in an IPA dryer to carry out the drying process. The drying process includes evaporating isopropyl alcohol to obtain a vapor and condensing the IPA vapor on the surface of the semiconductor wafer. The IPA is heated and vaporized by a hot plate disposed at the bottom of the IPA dryer. The condenser is mounted on the inner peripheral surface of the IPA dryer and surrounds the semiconductor wafer, which is supported by a holder.
Abstract: A power machine comprises an output manipulation system for controlling an output of a power source given to a working member and a brake manipulation system for stopping the movement of the working member. A pair of output manipulation restriction portions is disposed between the output manipulation system and the brake manipulation system. The output manipulation restriction portions abut to each other so as to restrict output manipulation to the working member by an output manipulation member when the working member is in the braked state. Furthermore, a pair of brake manipulation restriction portions is disposed between the output manipulation system and the brake manipulation system. The pair of brake manipulation restriction portions abut to each other so as to restrict brake manipulation of the working member by a brake manipulation member during the power source gives the output to the working member.
Abstract: This invention relates to a method for measuring the electrode-related electric quantities of an AC electric-arc furnace. The method is based on observing the mutual correlation between electrode currents and total power supplied into a furnace by utilizing the fast, natural fluctuation of currents and power supplies into a furnace, and on estimation observations. The information required in estimation is collected by performing a plurality of successive current and voltage measurements at adjacent instants and at various energy distributions of a furnace. The measurement results are used to calculably determine the estimates for electrode-related voltages, impedances and powers. It is further possible to split the electrode-related powers and voltages on the one hand in the electric-arc power and voltage and on the other hand in the power and voltage loss caused by resistive conduction. The effect of mutual impedances is automatically taken into account in estimation.
Abstract: The vertical movement of a retaining link mechanism and the horizontal movement of a counterweight are interlocked by a drive mechanism for balancing in weight between a medical optical device and/or its auxiliary devices and the counterweight about the center of pivot. Accordingly, the action of the drive mechanism makes a balance in the horizontal and vertical movements of the operating microscope combination, thereby automate the balancing control readily.
Abstract: A backpack type power working machine includes a movable stopper for restricting the turning angle of an internal combustion engine unit which is supported on a backpack frame so that it turns about a longitudinal axis. As a result, the turning angle restriction of the internal combustion engine unit can be released by just moving the movable stopper, whereby a job efficiency can be improved.
Abstract: Streak camera whereof the pulse converter for converting a photon pulse for detecting into an electron stream comprises a gaseous medium. A streak camera for a photon pulse in the far-infrared region is provided with a laser source to bring particles in the medium into a Rydberg state, in a streak camera for an X-ray pulse the medium contains particles for bringing into an Auger state, and additional deflection plates are provided for separating a primary electron stream from a secondary electron stream.
