  • Patent number: 6386369
Abstract: The carton comprises two or more channels for containing products. The channels can be opened to maintain the integrity of the carton for use as a display carton by maintaining the integrity of the base wall, but with the removal of substantially all of the top wall of each channel and a significant portion of the sidewalls of each channel. The remaining part of the sidewalls, a rear wall and the base provide the structure for the use of the carton as a display carton. If used as a shipper, a tear strip on the base wall is removed and the carton fully opened and emptied. The carton is made from a unique carton blank and a unique folding of the panels of the blank to make the carton. In particular the abutting walls of the channels are of a unique structure with each having a separate sidewall and these separate sidewalls not connected to the base wall.

  • Patent number: 6357631
Abstract: The container has a varied sized substance body chamber with a channel at an exit end. This channel is sealed by a breakaway tab at an end distant form the chamber. Within the channel is a positive seal valve that can reseal the container after it has initially been opened. This valve is comprised of an upper wall of the channel being in a close contact with the lower wall. The lower wall usually will have a concave shape, with the upper wall contacting the lower wall with a mating convex shape. However this is not required with the channel having many differing shapes and dimensions. This valve can be separated from the substance holding body chamber by a portion of the channel, can be at the junction of the storing chamber and the channel or can be at the junction of the exit of the channel. When a compressive pressure is applied to the substance holding chamber, the substance flows down the channel to the valve.

  • Patent number: 6357945
Abstract: The dispenser is of an ergonomic shape, provides for single hand use in the actuation of the dispenser and the application of substances to the skin, and can accommodate different application surfaces. The dispenser has a barrel closed at one end and an angled barrel extension at another end. The push button actuator to dispense the product is located in the barrel extension. On the upper end of the barrel extension is an applicator surface. This applicator surface can be microporous, porous or have separate distinct apertures. A gel, lotion or other semisolid liquid is stored in the barrel. Upon pressing the actuator the elevator rises upwardly with the gel, lotion or other semisolid liquid passing through conduits to the applicator surface. It then is applied to the skin. The pressing of the actuator causes a threaded rod to rotate which raises the elevational.

  • Patent number: 6352365
Abstract: A bag suitable for relatively small amounts of products has a front wall and a rear wall, the front wall and rear wall attached through a pair of gusset sidewalls. The bottom of the bag is sealed to provide a base that will support the bag. The top of the bag has a lateral seal which at each end is a seal of the front wall and rear wall to a portion of the gusset sidewall. An end portion of the top lateral seal is removable through a weakened area to open the bag. When opened the upper part of the gusset sidewall is folded outward to form a spout. After product is dispensed form the bag, the gusset sidewall is pushed inward to substantially seal the bag. For subsequent dispensings, the gusset sidewall is pulled outward to open the bag and form the spout and then pushed inward to substantially close the bag.
