Abstract: A vehicle marker light assembly including a plurality of preferably serially-connected, programmable light unit modules, each module having a microcontroller and a plurality of LEDs, which have a dual function as a marker light and, alternatively, as an emergency or warning light. In a preferred embodiment, microcontrollers of adjacent modules are programmed to communicate instructions to the light unit modules, causing the LEDs to flash in one or more predetermined patterns or sequences. In this embodiment, the light unit modules are configured in longitudinal strips or other desired forms, and are designed to operate on low amounts of current. In another preferred embodiment, a controller providing command instructions to the light unit modules causes flashing of the marker lights in the predetermined patterns or sequences.
Abstract: A method for providing hot-in-place recycling and repaving of an existing asphalt-based pavement, in which the pavement is first heated. The heated pavement surface is then sacrified, and new aggregate is dispensed onto it, to form a recycled, preheated asphalt and aggregate mixture. This mixture is again heated and scarified to premix it, and a new pavement surface is now milled to grade and width by applying this mixture using a plurality of extension mills having a main frame. The pavement surface is then remilled to grade using a main mill. Rejuvenator fluid is introduced in the main mill, and mixed with the recycled asphalt and aggregate mixture. Rejuvenator fluid is also introduced into a pug mill and again mixed with the recycled asphalt and aggregate mixture. The rejuvenator-enriched, recycled asphalt and aggregate windrow thus formed is then laid to grade using one or more screeds.
Abstract: An automatic filter shutoff device containing a filter, removably connected to a water container and in fluid communication with a water dispenser, the device monitors water dispensing and disables dispensing after a predetermined amount of water usage. The monitoring and disabling mechanism has a shutoff moveable between dispensing and disabling locations. The disabling location being one in which the mechanism is placed in an interfering position with the connection between the device and the water container. The mechanism automatically moves into the disabling location after the predetermined amount of water usage has occurred without interrupting water dispensing from the then connected water container. This requires that the used filter shutoff device be replaced in order to reestablish connection to a successive water container.

Abstract: A method for packaging food items, such as processed cheese, into a plastic film package that entirely encloses the food item with peelable heat seals, such as hermetic peelable heat seals. The heat of the food item is used to activate a sealant within the plastic film. Plastic film formulations are provided for this purpose.
