Abstract: A shaving apparatus includes a razor blade, a reservoir for containing a non-solid shaving aid material, at least one conduit extending between the reservoir and one or more ports, and a pump in fluid communication with one or both of the reservoir and the conduit. Movement of the razor blade actuates the pump, and the pump transfers shaving aid material from the reservoir to the one or more ports.

Abstract: The invention relates to a banknote compartment for a till drawer or the like, which is defined by a bottom, sidewalls, a rear wall and a front wall and has a covering element which extends from the rear wall over a part of the length of the compartment which is measured between the rear wall and the front wall. Said covering element comprises a holding-down clamp for banknotes, near its free edge which is at a distance from the rear wall. The clamp can be pivoted about an axis which is parallel to the bottom and the rear wall, between a pressure position, in which said clamp is pre-stressed downwards in the direction of the bottom, and a lifted release position. At least one intermediate bottom dividing the banknote compartment into superposed partial compartments is arranged between the bottom of the compartment and the covering element, parallel thereto and at a distance therefrom. Said intermediate bottom extends from the rear wall over a part of the length of the compartment.
Abstract: A shaving assembly for simultaneously applying a shaving preparation and removing hair in a single step includes a base having an upper end, a lower end and a hollow space between the upper and lower ends, whereby the hollow space defines an opening at the upper end of the base. The shaving assembly includes a receiver for a razor, such as a cartridge receiver for a razor blade cartridge, that is connected with the base and that is disposed at the opening at the upper end of the base. The cartridge receiver has a perimeter and the opening at the upper end of the base completely surrounds the perimeter of the cartridge receiver. The hollow space of the base is adapted for containing a shaving preparation, such as a soap cake, a liquid soap, shaving cream or a body wash and may be combined with skin beneficial ingredients and/or scent.

Abstract: In the case of an apparatus for transporting banknotes, within an automated teller machine, between at least one banknote cassette, for storing banknotes which are to be dispensed, and a dispensing location or between the latter and a receiving container for banknotes which have been drawn back, comprising a bundle-transporting section which is located between the dispensing location and a collecting location, at which banknotes which have been removed individually from the banknote cassette are collected into a bundle, and has two belt drives, a bundle of banknotes being gripped, and transported, between the mutually parallel endless belts of the belt drives, said endless belts circulating in the same direction in each case over a drive roller, and also has a drive arrangement for driving the belt drives, characterized in that the belt drives can be driven at different speeds at least in the direction from the dispensing location to the receiving container.
Abstract: A shaving apparatus includes a reservoir for storing a shaving aid material, a razor cartridge having at least one razor blade, and a valve selectively actuatable by movement of the razor cartridge between a first position and a second position. In the first position the valve permits passage of a shaving aid material from the reservoir, and in the second position the valve substantially prevents the passage of the shaving aid material from the reservoir.

Abstract: A shaving aid delivery system for a shaving system includes a razor head having a reservoir for holding a shaving aid and a heating apparatus disposed adjacent the reservoir. The delivery system also includes a shaving strip disposed within the razor head, an actuator and an ejection port. The shaving strip is oriented to engage the skin of a user during a shaving stroke and the actuator electrically couples to the heating apparatus to cause volumetric expansion of the shaving aid when activated. The ejection port directs the shaving aid from the reservoir onto the shaving strip upon activation of the actuator.

Abstract: A detachable razor cartridge has blade seat and at least one blade having a rectilinear cutting edge. An in-line row of integral guard elements project in cantilever position from the blade seat and extend in spaced relation to and beyond the cutting edge of the blade so that the cutting edge of the blade is unobstructed along its entire cutting length. Enlargements at the free ends of the guard elements disposed forward of and in spaced relation to the blade cutting edge may be provided in a variety of configurations and arrangements for smooth skin engagement to control skin flow and limit the degree of blade cutting edge exposure to skin being shaved.
Abstract: A razor assembly is provided that includes a razor cartridge with one or more razor blades, a shaving aid body, a handle, and a linkage pivotally connected to the handle. The linkage is connected to the razor cartridge and the shaving aid body in a manner such that the razor cartridge and the shaving aid body are moveable relative to the handle. Movement of one of the razor cartridge or the shaving aid body in a first direction causes the other of the razor cartridge or the shaving aid body to move in a second direction substantially opposite the first direction. As a result, the positions of the shaving aid body and the razor cartridge are continuously adjusted to maintain the contact surface of the shaving aid body approximately co-planar with the cutting edges of the razor blades within the razor cartridge.
Abstract: A razor assembly includes a razor head having at least one blade, and a shaving aid delivery system disposed within the razor head. The shaving aid delivery system includes a supply of at least one shaving aid fluid, a microfluidic circuit for communicating the shaving aid fluid from the supply to a plurality of outlet ports along a surface of the shaving aid delivery system, and a transport system for driving the shaving aid fluid from the supply through the microfluidic circuit.
Abstract: In a razor cartridge, a platform portion has a first cartridge section that includes at least one first pair of razor blades position therein. Each of the first pair or razor blades has an at least partially exposed cutting edge. A second cartridge section is also provided and is coupled to the platform portion. The second cartridge section includes at least one pair of second razor blades positioned therein, each of the second pair of razor blades also has an at least partially exposed cutting edge. The razor cartridge can be mounted either temporarily or permanently to a handle and the cutting edges of each of the first and second pair of razor blades face one another so that during a shaving operation, the razor cartridge can cut hair when drawn over a user's skin in either of two generally opposite directions.

Abstract: A water boiler system for producing steam or hot water includes an apparatus for removing dissolved minerals from the boiler water without the use of water softeners or other chemical treatment agents. An electromagnetic flux producing device first treats water of the boiler system with alternating electromagnetic flux to cause nucleation of dissolved minerals in the bulk boiler water, rather than on boiler surfaces, with nucleated particles then accumulating into particulates which settle by gravity to a low area of the boiler. Water is continuously drained from the low area of the boiler and fed by a pump to a mechanical separator which continuously separates solids from the drain water and continuously passes cleansed water at a high temperature back to the boiler.
Abstract: An apparatus for simultaneous cleaning of a liquid and a gas includes a centrifugal rotor delimiting in a casing a separation chamber that is arranged for through flow and cleaning of the liquid. On the outside of the casing separation discs are mounted for rotation with the centrifugal rotor. Between the separation discs there are formed axially extending separation passages formed for through flow and cleaning of the gas.
Abstract: In an apparatus for simultaneous cleaning of a liquid and a gas a centrifugal rotor for cleaning of the liquid is connected with a device for cleaning of the gas. The centrifugal rotor is contained in a stationary housing, and this housing delimits a supply passage for gas to be cleaned and on its way to the cleaning device. The gas cleaning device comprises a stack of conical separation discs surrounding a gas inlet chamber and surrounded by a receiving chamber that is delimited by a surrounding stationary casing.
