Abstract: There is disclosed a simple process for the preparation of hydroxyphenyl-1,3,5,-triazines of formula (1), which comprises reacting 1 mol of a salicyl compound of formula (2) with 2 (mol) of the benzamidine of formula (3). The novel triazines are useful AV absorbers for organic materials, in particular polyester fibre materials.
Abstract: In order to prevent or at least render difficult the copying of colored printed security papers, for example banknotes, the printing inks used for printing are so formulated that copies made using customary color copiers produce a markedly different color impression and can therefore easily be identified as being forgeries. This is achieved by using for the formulation of the printing inks dyes (pigments) that are as different as possible from the dyes (toners) customarily used in conventional color copiers. The choice of the dyes for the formulation of the printing inks is especially such that there is the greatest possible degree of metamerism between the printing ink in question and the match of the relevant master color using the dyes of the color copier. Preferably non-amorphous or anisotropic black dyes and effect dyes, especially fluorescent effect dyes, are co-used for the formulation of the printing inks.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for the stereolithographic preparation of a three-dimensional object, wherein the object is built in a container which contains a radiation-curable liquid formulation with fillers by a repeated alternating succession of process steps (a) and (b). In step (a), a layer of the radiation-curable liquid formulation, one limitation of which is the surface of the formulation, is cured using suitable radiation within an surface area which corresponds to the desired cross-section of the three-dimensional object to be formed at the level of this layer. In step (b), said cured layer is coated with a new layer of the radiation-curable liquid formulation. The process comprises homogenizing the radiation-curable liquid formulation continuously or discontinuously to such an extent that there is no noticeable change in the filler content of the radiation-curable liquid formulation in the area of that layer with which the cured layer is coated in step (b).
