Abstract: A luminaire assembly includes a housing having a first end and a second end, one of the first end and the second end having a threaded connection, a glass lens and a collar assembly connected to said lens, the collar assembly threadably connected to the housing. A luminaire lens mounting assembly, further may include a first lens connected to a housing, a belt connected to the housing, at least one arm extending from the belt, and, a second lens surrounding at least one of the housing and the first lens, the at least one arm extending through the second lens.

Abstract: A dispensing system having a reverse taper dispensing orifice seal. The reverse tapered seal depends from a lid of a flip-top closure providing a sealing engagement with a dispensing spout of the flip-top closure body when in a closed position. As the dispensing spout may have a variety of shapes, the reverse tapered seal is shaped to conform to the irregularities of the contacted surfaces of the dispensing spout. The decreasing thickness of the reverse tapered seal decreases the complexity of the molding process as well as minimizing the weakening or breaking of the seal during removal from the mold cavity.

Abstract: A clamping fixture for a retort process wherein a clamping fixture is disposed about a container having a seal positioned over a container-dispensing aperture. The clamping fixture applies a force to an outer surface of the seal in order to combat internal vapor pressures, which rise during a retort process and may break the seal. A first embodiment may be used with a manual process while a second embodiment may be used with a multiple station automated retort process.
Abstract: An improved apparatus for duplex scanning using a paper path shorter than the length of paper to be duplexed allows a smaller duplexing ADF footprint, without decreasing scan quality. The apparatus includes a friction drive system which allows rollers to rotate with an exit shaft when exit said shaft rotates in a first direction or with a passing media sheet when said exit shaft rotates in a second direction.
Abstract: The dispensing closure is provided having a stopping mechanism that limits the rotation of the closure and generally prevents removal of the closure from the container. The dispensing closure includes a cap body, fitment, and container finish. The cap body has a double shell design, which includes at least one drop lug reverse tapered from the inner shell. When the cap body is rotated about the container finish, the reverse tapered drop lug engages at least one lug stop located on the container finish so as to limit the rotation, thereby preventing removal of the cap body from the container finish. The reverse taper of the drop lug maximizes the abutment surface and stability of the drop lug when engaging the corresponding lug stop.

Abstract: A trim ring for a vandal resistant luminaire, the trim ring is disposed about an electrical component housing and a lens and holds the lens to the electrical component housing. The trim ring is designed to protect the luminaire by absorbing physical shock exerted on the luminaire and provide an aesthetic pleasing design. Twist locks depend from an inner annular surface of the trim ring which cooperate with retaining legs on the electrical component housing providing for access to the internal components of the vandal resistant luminaire.

Abstract: A re-lamping cartridge assembly for a recessed lighting fixture comprises a cartridge having a sidewall defining an upper aperture and a lower aperture, a lamp positioned within the upper aperture and adjacent the lower aperture; and, a spring positioned within the cartridge to engage the sidewall and capture the lamp within the cartridge.
Abstract: A pleated fluid filter having a pair of spaced longitudinally extending flanks is formed by at least one layer of a fluid filter media. A spacing member is integral with one of the flanks and extends outwardly in contacting relation with an adjacent flank.
Abstract: An assembly for use in spinal stabilization procedures having first and second bone anchor assemblies. Embodiments of the first bone anchor assembly may include an anchor, a poly-axial head, including a cavity, mated with the anchor such that the anchor is movable relative to the poly-axial head. Embodiments of the second bone anchor assembly may include an anchor, a poly-axial head mated with the second anchor such that the anchor is movable relative to the poly-axial head, a slide ring rotatably mated in the second poly-axial head, and a connector slideably mated in the slide ring along a distal end, and having a proximal end having an enlarged portion. The connector may be movable from a first position axially inline with the second bone anchor to a second position wherein the enlarged portion of the connector rests in the cavity of the first poly-axial head.

Abstract: A weapon mounting system for securing a weapon such as a machine gun to a platform comprises a base mount that is secured to the platform and that rotatably supports a pintle receiver tube. The pintle receiver tube is adjustable and rotatable such that a weapon may be readily aimed in multiple planes. The invention further includes a cradle that is easily secured to the pintle and thus to the platform.
