  • Patent number: 7006656
Abstract: Current methods of embedding hidden data in an image inevitably distort the original image by noise. This distortion cannot generally be removed completely because of quantization, bit-replacement, or truncation at the grayscales 0 and 255. The distortion, though often small, may make the original image unacceptable for medical applications, or for military and law enforcement applications where an image must be inspected under unusual viewing conditions (e.g., after filtering or extreme zoom). The present invention provides high-capacity embedding of data that is lossless (or distortion-free) because, after embedded information is extracted from a cover image, we revert to an exact copy of the original image before the embedding took place. This new technique is a powerful tool for a variety of tasks, including lossless robust watermarking, lossless authentication with fragile watermarks, and steganalysis. The technique is applicable to raw, uncompressed formats (e.g., BMP, PCX, PGM, RAS, etc.

  • Patent number: 6983006
Abstract: An all-electric glass-melting deep furnace and a method of refining and supplying glass are disclosed in which high-quality molten glass is efficiently produced in large quantity at high heat efficiency. The glass-melting deep furnace 20 has a bottom 2 and a side wall 4 constructed by piling up fireproof bricks 3 on the perimeter of the bottom 2. A height H of the side wall 4 is set to be twice or more than twice as long as an inside dimension D of the bottom 2 of the furnace. Since the furnace 20 is deep, there can be achieved a thick batch layer, a space in which glass is melted at high temperature, and a cooling area which is necessary to refine molten glass. The furnace makes it possible for the molten glass 6 to absorb fine seeds by its pressure and cooling effects that are produced when the seeds move downward to the bottom 2.

  • Patent number: 6981951
Abstract: Indicators (4) are provided on one side of an indicator carrier (5) for controlling urine which has been caught in a measuring cell (1). The indicators can be perceived through a window (3). The measuring cell (1) is provided with an inlet on the side opposite the window (3). The aim of the invention is to guide urine from the inlet (6) to the indicators 94). To this end, the inventive device has a fluid transport means (9), e.g., blotting paper, which can transport fluid by virtue of the capillarity thereof. A soaking material, e.g., a soaking cushion, can be arranged between the inlet (6) and the indicator carrier (5). Said cushion becomes soaked and locks the inlet (6) when catching urine.

  • Patent number: 6948756
Abstract: This invention provides an anti-crash safety seat in a motor vehicle, in which a backrest and so on are provided on a moveable bracket that can move backwards. A front shaft with bearings, a back shaft with bearings, and a seat control system for controlling the seat by making use of the inertia force and electromagnetic force are provided on the moveable bracket. The moveable bracket is mounted on a fixed frame by the bearings, shafts and nuts. The fixed frame is fixed on a floor of a cab of the motor vehicle and has an energy-absorbing plate, energy-absorbing bearings and two rails parallel each other thereon. When the motor vehicle collides, the energy-absorbing components in the seat absorb and transform the kinetic energy of the seat.
