Abstract: A method and system accept left and right channel inputs of audio data and provide output audio data for at least three channels in a fashion that may effect a facsimile of the original soundstage on which the left and right inputs were recorded.
Abstract: A method of pasteurizing dewatered sludge into valuable soil conditioners is provided. Unpasteurized dewatered sludge is introduced into a first end of an dryer and maintained under vacuum pressure. Moisture is removed using a condenser and knock out tank while a boiler provides heat to treat the dewatered sludge. An auger moves the sludge to an outlet.
Abstract: A display provides a sign panel for use in displaying a sign. Pairs of first and second feet preferably extend downwardly from the sign panel and provide an adjustable width channel for connecting to a tailgate of a vehicle. A sign is supported by the sign panel and first and second shaft connectors receive a shaft having an ornament connected thereto, such as a flag or shaker.
Abstract: This invention relates to a process for manufacturing nutritionally balanced food compositions suitable for retort sterilization which have a low pH, extended shelf life, high antimicrobial activity, and which include protein in a stable emulsion. The primary protein source for the food composition is caseinates or milk protein concentrates and isolates comprised mostly of casein. Alternately, milk protein concentrates, milk protein isolates, milk protein hydrolystates, soy protein isolates or soy protein concentrates may also be used. The process includes two homogenization steps.
Abstract: A valve assembly provides a holder cantileveredly attached to a boss on an end cap to axially dispose an actuator and a poppet on an axis with a valve seat formed in the end cap. The actuator is preferably a shape memory alloy actuator. The end cap may be placed in line with a fluid system such as in a gas oven so that an electrical communication with an igniter is provided.
Abstract: A portable toilet comprises two sets of leg members connected at a joint at top ends of the leg members. The legs preferably pivot between a closed configuration wherein the legs are substantially parallel to an open position where the legs are spaced apart at one end and joined at the pivot at the top ends. Seat members are supported by the legs in a spaced apart and parallel relationship. In some embodiments, the seat members are removable to assist in portage of the toilet.
Abstract: A system and method for signing, sorting, and authenticating electronic documents using public key cryptography. The system comprises a document service computer cluster connected to user computers, document owner server computers, and registration computers via a network such as for example, the internet or the world wide web. Document owners and system users can store electronic documents in an encrypted database located on the document service computer cluster, or on a document safe connected to the document owner server. Users can sign documents by identifying the document to be signed and sending a signing request to the document service computer cluster. The document service computer cluster retrieves the user's private key, which is located securely in a database on the cluster, and signs the identified document. No dedicated signing software need be installed on the user computer prior to accessing the document service computer cluster.
Abstract: An automatic shutoff valve is provided. The valve is preferably constructed of a check valve (which is normally shut) and a shutoff valve which is open during static, no-flow, operation. Upon initiation of flow, even a drip flow, the check valve opens, and the pressure differential from the inlet to the outlet causes a piston in the shutoff valve to move toward a shut position. As long as the pressure differential stops before the piston closes, the shutoff valve resets to the fully open position. However, if the shutoff valve shuts, it preferably must be manually reset.
