Abstract: A supraglottic airway device comprising a tube and a face plate assembly slidably installed on the tube, whereby upon insertion of the tube within the airway of a patient the face plate assembly is slid distally along the tube so as to substantially seal about the mouth of the patient. The supraglottic airway device further comprises an introduction tip assembly mounted on the tube substantially opposite the face plate assembly so as to guide the device into the patient airway and an expandable foam cuff located along the tube between the face plate assembly and the tip assembly so as to seat the device within the airway. The face plate assembly may further comprise tabs for substantially sealing within the nose of the patient.

Abstract: A window roller apparatus comprising a cradle, a housing pivotably installed in the cradle, and at least one roller wheel rotatably installed in the housing. Cradle side walls are formed with opposite inwardly-opening cradle side wall recesses, and respective housing side walls are formed with opposite inwardly-opening housing side wall recesses and with opposite outwardly-projecting bosses configured to pivotably engage the respective inwardly-opening cradle side wall recesses. The at least one roller wheel has an axle that engages the housing side wall recesses. A resilient pad is positioned on the cradle bottom wall between the cradle and the housing, the pad being of a sufficient size and thickness to at least partially engage the housing and effectively bias the housing toward a parallel orientation relative to the cradle while allowing for non-parallel operation of the housing relative to the cradle as dictated by operational constraints on the window roller apparatus.

Abstract: A device for controlling one or more electrical apparatuses comprising a processor/transceiver control unit connected to each electrical apparatus and having at least one microprocessor wired to a transceiver and a clock circuit that keeps real-time onboard, the microprocessor storing an operating protocol according to which the control unit controls power to the electrical apparatus at real-time as kept by the clock circuit. The control unit's microprocessor may be further configured to read and store a nominal voltage for the electrical apparatuses and to compare the nominal voltage to the electrical apparatuses' operating voltage so as to monitor and report on their operation.

Abstract: A humidification apparatus comprising a reservoir having at least one side wall defining an opening, water within the reservoir bounded by the at least one side, and a membrane activation assembly installed over the opening. The membrane activation assembly comprises a microporous membrane layer covering the opening of the reservoir and a temporary peel-away activation layer covering the membrane layer. A method of using the humidification apparatus comprises the steps of grasping a pull-tab formed on the activation layer, peeling the activation layer away from the underlying membrane layer, and inserting within an enclosed space the reservoir containing water bounded at its opening by the activated membrane layer. A method of manufacturing the humidification apparatus comprises numerous laminating and die-cutting steps to form a completed membrane activation assembly that is then installed on the reservoir.

Abstract: Pants comprising an upper portion formed of a first material such as denim and a lower portion formed of a second material such as leather and connected to the upper portion along at least one seam. An inseam panel is sewn along at least one lengthwise edge of the pants spanning both the upper portion and the lower portion. At least one vent assembly may be installed in each lower portion of the pants, each vent assembly comprising a means for selectively closing the vent assembly, a cover panel formed so as to selectively cover the closure means, and an interior panel formed beneath the closure means and configured to allow air to pass therethrough upon opening of the closure means. A permanent or selectively removable lining may be installed within the lower portion of the pants, and protective armor may be installed on the pants.

Abstract: A convection cooling system for high-output Light Emitting Diodes in outdoor illumination applications. The cooling system takes advantage of wide-angle LED output so as to allow placement of cooling fins directly on the shaded underside of the molded or extruded support structure. Accordingly, the cooling system provides a relatively large convective surface area with a substantial portion of that surface shaded from solar radiation so as not to collect solar heat during daytime periods while still expelling heat as it is collected from finned portions that are exposed to sunlight and so do collect solar heat.

Abstract: The present invention, referred to as DRAW FOR BATTLE, is a strategic dueling card game, combining an art instructional component as part of interactive card game play. Players must first draw the characters chosen from the PRIMARY DECK during game play before placing them onto the battlefield for combat through assigned numerical STRENGTH levels and SMARTS levels. The game includes a PRIMARY DECK, which itself includes ADD cards, DRAW cards, MORPH cards, and WILD cards, and the THINK DECK, which describes an intellectual way of defeating the brute through various THINK cards, and if it was successful or not. The BATTLE CARD TABLET is a set of preprinted oversized cards, with a grid pattern for guidance during drawing, in tablet form to create battle cards. The MASTER DECK is a series of oversized cards that provide the basic instructions for illustrating the characters and their back-story.

Abstract: An air compression apparatus has a frame, a tank, and a motor. A drive mechanism is operably connected to the motor and at least one piston assembly is operably connected to the drive mechanism and configured to move within a respective cylinder mounted to the frame. The piston assembly includes: (1) a piston body; (2) a piston rod having a hollow bore connected at one end to the drive mechanism and at an opposite end to the piston body; and (3) a piston valve installed on the piston body. In use, upward travel of the piston body as caused by the drive mechanism acting through the piston rod opens the piston valve and allows ambient air to be drawn through the hollow bore into the cylinder, and downward travel of the piston body closes the piston valve so as to compress the air within the cylinder.

Abstract: A storage apparatus and method involves a wheel storage assembly having adjustable pockets for storage therein of an article. The wheel storage assembly generally includes a pocket assembly and opposite wheel assemblies. The pocket assembly may include a core, at least two dividers installed in an offset relationship on the core, the dividers being configured to project substantially radially outwardly from the core to form a free end of each divider, and a clip mounted at the free end of each divider. A base assembly may be employed to rotatably support the wheel storage assembly. A hub of each wheel assembly may be formed with an outer, substantially rounded surface and with a tension belt installed on a base connector of the base assembly and looped around the rounded surface to control the rotational speed of the wheel storage assembly as mounted on the base assembly.

Abstract: An air gap apparatus comprising a deodorizer agent positioned within the apparatus. The deodorizer agent may be any combination of a liquid, solid, granules or paste placed on or in a vent cap, an upper housing or upper housing cap of the air gap or receptacle thereon, a plugged inlet or inlet port extension extending from the air gap body, an under-mount nut or spacer installed on the air gap body, or an impregnation of or coating on any of the components thereof. With such an air gap installed for use, odors associated with bacterial growth within the air gap and discharged air passing through and out of the air gap are removed, disguised, offset or otherwise reduced or eliminated.
