  • Patent number: 7578605
Abstract: A reflector system having two-axis control through which beam collimation and wide-angle beam overlapping occur, and a method of manufacturing such a system through cutting flat reflective sheeting and forming the resultant flat parts into the three-dimensional reflectors that collect and shape the light from solid state LEDs, wherein each axis may be customized by changing the cutting and bending of the flat pieces.

  • Patent number: 7569802
Abstract: A photosensor control unit for use in a lighting module has a light sensor and a switch adapted to operably control a light source such as a plurality of LEDs responsive to the light sensor. The light source is adapted to be mounted in the lighting module, and is configured to produce light having wavelengths within a first range of wavelengths. The light sensor is adapted to be mounted on or about the lighting module, and is responsive to light having wavelengths within a second range of wavelengths. The second range of wavelengths is exclusive of the first range of wavelengths. The switch is adapted to operably control the light source responsive to the light sensor such that the light source emits light having wavelengths within the first range of wavelengths responsive to the presence or absence of light within the second range of wavelengths.

  • Patent number: 7540570
Abstract: A wheel shock absorbing apparatus includes: a hub, one or more bearings seated within the hub, and an axle. At least two outer end caps, each with an axle mounting hole and an offset inwardly opening cavity, enclose the ends of the hub. A springing element is positioned within each cavity in the end caps, and an inner body unit is located between the outer end caps. An actuation stud projects from the inner body unit into the cavities to contact the springing element. Fastening elements secure the outer end caps together on opposite side of the inner body unit. A pivot stud allows the respective outer end caps and inner body unit to pivot with respect to one another, which causes the actuation stud to contact the spring element, which absorbs shocks as the wheel travels over a surface during locomotion of a vehicle.

  • Patent number: 7419128
Abstract: An internally expanding and locking apparatus for installing inside the pipe stub of a typical outdoor lighting pole and expanding with locking teeth to grasp the inner walls of the pipe stub, the apparatus including a swivel base, a clamp screw inserted through the swivel base, a ramp nut passing over the clamp screw so as to be positioned offset from the swivel base, and a mounting nut threadably installed on the clamp screw and configured to engage the ramp nut so as to control the position of the ramp nut relative to the swivel base as the clamp screw is rotated during use of the pipe mounting apparatus.

  • Patent number: 7393373
Abstract: A portable clean molding apparatus for receipt of molded articles ejected from a mold machine. The apparatus includes a receiving chamber having a first interior space and a selectively openable first door, a secondary chamber joined to the receiving chamber and having a second interior space and a selectively openable second door, and an air filtration cover unit installed over the receiving and secondary chambers so as to provide a low-particulate, positive airflow into the first and second interior spaces. The apparatus further includes at least one vent communicating with the second interior space so as to allow the airflow to exit the secondary chamber and at least one chute communicating with the first interior space so as to allow the airflow to exit the receiving chamber, the chute being located adjacent to the mold machine for the transfer of molded articles to the receiving chamber.

  • Patent number: 7221282
Abstract: A wireless wastewater system monitoring apparatus generally comprising a processor/transceiver unit, housed within a synthetic protective enclosure formed outside of the wastewater system, and a fluid level sensor configured to send an overflow signal to the processor/transceiver unit when an overflow condition in the wastewater system is detected. The processor/transceiver unit is configured with at least one microprocessor wired between the sensor and a power supply and with a transceiver so as to detect the overflow signal from the sensor and, in response, transmit a wireless alarm signal. The processor/transceiver unit is further configured such that only a portion of its circuitry is constantly powered so as to continuously monitor the sensor, while the remainder of its circuitry, including the transceiver, is only powered and a wireless signal sent from the unit when an overflow condition is detected or a routine status-check is being conducted.
