Abstract: An OLED device is disclosed. The OLED device includes a first substrate including a driver element and a connection electrode connected to the driver element, a second substrate including an organic light emission diode element, a contact spacer electrically connected to the connection electrode, and a sealant disposed into a cavity which is formed by the first and second substrates, the connection electrode, the organic light emission diode element, and the contact space. Herein, the sealant is bonded to the contact spacer and the connection electrode and maintains the electric connection between the contact spacer and the connection electrode. In this manner, the driver element and the organic light emission diode element are protected from external oxygen and/or moisture, and the electric connection between the connection electrode and the contact spacer is reinforced.

Abstract: Disclosed are a liquid crystal display device employing an amorphous zinc oxide-based semiconductor as an active layer, and a method for fabricating the same, whereby device stability can be secured by employing an etch stopper structure and device characteristics can be enhanced by minimizing exposure and deterioration of the active layer excluding content regions by virtue of the design of the etching stopper in a shape like “H”. Also, the liquid crystal display device and the fabrication method thereof can further form a semiconductor pattern and an insulating layer pattern on the intersection between the gate line and the data line, so as to compensate a stepped portion, thereby preventing an occurrence of short-circuit.

Abstract: This invention provides cell-calcification inhibitory proteins as well as genes encoding the proteins. Based on the discovery of a novel isoform gene of the c-erg gene (herein referred to as “C-11 gene”) which is an erg gene derived from chickens, the nucleotide sequence of the gene has been determined, and then the expression of a protein encoded by such gene (herein referred to as “C-11 protein”) has been confirmed. Further, it has been discovered that when the c-erg or C-11 gene is introduced into osteoblasts, the calcification of the cells is inhibited.

Abstract: An apparatus and method of performing cell reselection in a wireless communication system is provided. A mobile station determines whether first priority information for the first RAT is provided by the serving cell, and receives second priority information of a second RAT from the serving cell. The mobile station performs inter-RAT cell reselection based on the first and second priority information if the first priority information for the first RAT is provided. The mobile station performs cell reselection toward the second RAT based on measured values of cells of the second RAT without considering the second priority information if the first priority information for the first RAT is not provided.
Abstract: The present invention provides methods and compositions useful in the treatment or prevention of Chlamydia infections and cancer. The methods and compositions inhibit the entry of Chlamydia into a host cell expressing EMP2 by interfering with the interaction between the Chlamydia and EMP2. The methods and compositions target cancers which express or overexpress EMP2 nucleic acids and polypeptides by targeting EMP2.

Abstract: The image forming apparatus is provided with: a toner image carrying member that moves while carrying a toner image; a transferring member that transfers, on a recording medium, the toner image that the toner image carrying member carries; a transporting unit that transports the recording medium along a transport path that passes through a transfer region where the transferring member transfers the toner image onto the recording medium; and a controller that controls a movement speed of the toner image carrying member. The controller changes the movement speed of the toner image carrying member in accordance with a position, on the transport path, of the recording medium that the transporting unit transports.
Abstract: A storing and processing apparatus for a record member includes: a record member storing portion that stores therein a record member being transported along the record member transport route; a moving unit that moves up or down the record member storing portion; a positioning and storing portion that temporarily positions and stores the record member; an arranging unit that stocks and arranges record members in the positioning and storing portion; a discharge member that discharges, from a discharge position, the record member existing on the record member transport route or on the positioning and storing portion toward the record member storing portion; a record member type determining unit and, a control unit that drives the moving unit to move up or down the record member storing portion.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a display device preventing a getter layer from contacting elements disposed in the display device, and an embodiment of the present invention may be achieved in a whole or in part by a display device comprising: A substrate; A pixel part disposed on the substrate; A cap comprising a first region attached on the substrate; and a second region having a position different from a position of the first region, connected with the first region, and corresponding to the pixel part; A getter layer disposed on the second region of the cap; and A protecting layer disposed on the getter layer.
Abstract: A processor may operate in one of a plurality of operating states. In a Normal operating state, the processor is not involved with a memory transaction. Upon receipt of a transaction instruction to access a memory location, the processor transitions to a Transaction operating state. In the Transaction operating state, the processor performs changes to a cache line and data associated with the memory location. While in the Transaction operating state, any changes to the data and the cache line is not visible to other processors in the computing system. These changes become visible upon the processor entering a Commit operating state in response to receipt of a commit instruction. After changes become visible, the processor returns to the Normal operating state. If an abort event occurs prior to receipt of the commit instruction, the processor transitions to an Abort operating state where any changes to the data and cache line are discarded.

Abstract: In a technique for enhancing discoverability and increasing usage of a web browser in a mobile device on a wireless network, a server system coupled to the wireless network receives a signal representing initiation of a voice call from the mobile device. In response, the server system performs a lookup to determine whether a website is associated with the telephone number being called. If a website is associated with the telephone number being called and the mobile device has the capability to access and display the website, the server system sends an Alert to the mobile device, causing the mobile device to notify its user about the website. The user may then input a selection to either access the website instead of completing the call or to proceed with the voice call.
