Patent number: 4583709Abstract: An electrically operated valve assembly comprises a valve, an electrical device 18 to operate the valve in one direction, and means 19 to prevent reverse current flow if the valve should drive the electrical device in reverse when the valve moves in a direction opposite to the said one direction. In the embodiment shown the valve has a plunger controlled by a cam, the cam being driven by a motor 18. The valve may however also be controlled by a solenoid.Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 1984Date of Patent: April 22, 1986Assignee: Dobson Park Industries P/CInventor: Richard Ward

Patent number: 4579261Abstract: The room spray dispenser (1) holds a container (29) that is provided with a valve element (27) which also works simultaneously as a pump. Above the valve element (27) the operating end (25') of a pressure lever (25) is located. It is loaded in the direction of the valve element (27) with at least one spring (26,33). The blocking lever (14) has a raised contact surface (14"). This surface is pressed downward with the operating end (3') of a swivelling lever triggering mechanism, which is mounted on the door (5) or the door frame (6). This downward movement trips the blocking lever (14), which then allows the pressure lever (25) to press down upon the upper part of the valve element (27) due to the force of the tension spring (26). By the return movement of the swivelling lever (3) the blocking lever (14) is raised upwards to its original position and cocked by means of the cocking lever (15). The tension spring (26) is also stretched during this process.Type: GrantFiled: April 9, 1984Date of Patent: April 1, 1986Assignee: CWS AGInventors: Sandro Arabian, Manfred Baumann, Alois L. Stahli

Patent number: 4576204Abstract: A laminar flow element for use in a cylindrical fluid flow passage for restricting the flow of fluid through that passage to a constant volume flow rate. The element comprises a body portion having a cylindrical peripheral surface of predetermined length and predetermined diameter, with the surface defining with the passage an annular, tubular fluid passageway. Locating portions are provided extending from the element for engagement with at least one surface in the cylindrical passage for maintaining the peripheral surface concentrically disposed within the cylindrical passage. The length and diameter of the element are dimensioned so that the flow is laminar under all operating conditions, and therefore the volume rate of flow of fluid through the passage is linearly proportional to the pressure drop along the annular passage.Type: GrantFiled: March 9, 1984Date of Patent: March 18, 1986Assignee: Her Majesty the Queen in right of Canada, as represented by the Minister of National DefenceInventors: Edward A. Patent number: 4576283Abstract: Within a bag for vacuum packaging of articles there is created, by means of a separately attached sheet, an auxiliary chamber which is evacuated when the bag is manufactured. This chamber may be placed in communication with the interior of the bag, after the latter has been filled and sealed. Such communication is achieved by piercing or tearing the separately attached sheet, so that the residual air in the sealed bag expands into a greater volume in which it is isolated from the product in the bag.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 1984Date of Patent: March 18, 1986Inventor: Bernard Fafournoux

Patent number: 4571140Abstract: A flexible bag-like container holding contents is placed on a setting table. The setting table is provided with an extracting gear and is movable with respect to a housing between a bag placing position and an extracting position. The housing is provided with an extracting gear which is adapted to be engaged with the extracting gear of the setting table when the setting table is moved to the extracting position. Said flexible bag-like container is placed on the setting table when the table is in the bag placing position, and the setting table is moved to the extracting position with the bag thereon so that a portion of the bag near one end thereof is pinched between the extracting gears. A portion of the bag near the other end is severed in response to the movement of the setting table to the extracting position, and then the extracting gears are rotated to move the bag away from the contents.Type: GrantFiled: November 6, 1984Date of Patent: February 18, 1986Assignee: Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd.Inventors: Sadami Yamada, Kaoru Tamura
