Abstract: Taillights are located adjacent the hinge axis of, and on van right and left doors, so that a closed door displays the taillight to traffic approaching the van from the rear. Also after a door pivotal traverse into an open condition there is a display of the taillight to traffic approaching the van from the front.
Abstract: An auto gripper molding having a notch in the surface of its inner crown overhang in facing relation to the windshield exterior surface which notch serves firstly to receive an end of the molding gripping leg having accordingly a desired longer length, and serves secondly to have deposited therein, after the gripper leg is moved into its windshield-gripping location, a viscous mass of urethane which cures in the notch and provides a mechanical interlock between the gripper molding and the windshield.
Abstract: A sports equipment bag-supporting leg mechanism having a slide repositioned from an upper to a lower position preparatory to operating the leg mechanism. The leg mechanism being readily attachable and detachable from the bag wherein the slide positions, whether upper or lower, are established positions at which the slide is held against inadvertent sliding movement. The slide is thus effectively used as a hand grip to move the leg mechanism in relation to holding springs incident to being latched to and unlatched from the golf bag.
Abstract: The avoiding of uncomfortable-to-the-touch ear loops and the like in the attaching insertion of oxygen-delivering inserts of a cannula into a patient's nose which uses a 0.25 inch diameter in a circular base of a U-shape of the cannula to provide a chord which in width wise size is smaller than the width wise size of a patient's typical columella which divides in two the nasal cavities, such that the size difference results in a "pinch" fit which holds the cannula in place during its use, and the referred to columella not being sensitive-to-touch thus does not contribute to patient discomfort.
Abstract: For a popular dome-shaped industrial van having rear left and right doors, an added visual display strip at the top of the van rear edge to which the doors are hinged, which in the location noted are visible to an oncoming motorist when the doors are open through the clearance bounded by the outwardly diverging van rear edges and upper door edges, thus contributing to safer use during loading and unloading of the industrial van.
Abstract: A vehicle window seated in a vehicle opening bounded by a vertically oriented wall of a flange having additional respective inboard and outboard walls, the former extending beneath the vehicle window and the latter lying in the plane of the external surface of the vehicle window. Hook and loop connectors with a urethane deposit at their interface are adhesively secured in an interposed position to the vehicle window and to the inboard wall so that an unattached inboard length portion extending beyond the inboard wall is movable in an ascending direction. Before the urethane cures into a hardened condition, the vehicle window is raised, as need be, to position the external surface of the vehicle window in the same plane as the outboard wall to thereby contribute to a desired appearance in the installed vehicle window.
Abstract: A method of preparing a lightweight boat for use by using to advantage the overhang of the boat transom beyond the tailgate of the transporting van to provide a working clearance to attach wheel means thereto, and the floating depth beneath the launched boat to provide a working clearance to unattach the wheel means. While the wheel means are attached, the boat is transported like a wheel barrow a walking distance from a parking lot to a lake or the like.
Abstract: As a substitute from opaque plastic of choice for the construction material of a tennis racket, use instead is made of a clear plastic that viewed from afar, such as from one base line to the other, prevents the opponent of the user of the clear plastic racket from visibly detecting a racket position as might enable the opponent to anticipate the shot to be executed by the user, to thereby contribute to the strategic playing value of the tennis racket.
Abstract: A stuffed toy animal using hand-bendable 3/8 inch flat bands to internally support bulk material about the body location of the toy animal and within an outer fabric cover, and using only the bands in depending appendages, such as legs, of the toy animal since the band width effectively simulates the appearance of legs and requires no bulk padding, to thereby significant, reduce manufacturing costs.
Abstract: A rectangular band disposed in a closed loop about a cable coiled in a hank to facilitate the handling and storage of the hank when the cable is not in use. The band has two adjacent longitudinal slits through which a cable end is projected to hold the band on the cable when it is used and also so it is readily handy to again bind the cable after its use into a hank. In its position on the hank, the band holds the end of the cable projected through the slits in the same plane as the hank and thus provides a flat, compact condition in the hank and in the cable end that is favorable for handling and storage.
