  • Patent number: 7320616
Abstract: There is provided an insulation displacement connector (IDC) assembly having a main body defining at least one wire channel. The main body has at least one substantially flat surface to which a vacuum nozzle can be affixed in order to pickup the IDC assembly. The IDC assembly has at least one contact member with a piercing, cutting or slicing end that is slideably disposed within the main body, and a mounting end that extends from the main body. The mounting end of the contact is attached to a printed circuit board. An insulated conductor, such as wire, cable, and/or ribbon, can be quickly and easily inserted in the channel without being pierced by the piercing end of the contact. When a user pushes down on the IDC, the contact slides into the channel and pierces the insulated conductor.

  • Patent number: 7310827
Abstract: A crescent-shaped splash guard, encircling the part of the head to be washed, protects the eyes, ears and nose from soap and other solutions. It is placed centrally on the forehead above the eyes. Two opposing side portions extend from the center to above and behind the ears. The side portions form upper and lower edges providing a seal against the head. The side portions form troughs about the periphery, directing water and hair washing solutions to the side and back, and preventing solutions from dripping into the eyes, nose and ears. A handgrip in the splash guard's center provides a grip for a “hairwasher.” Holding the handgrip prevents the splash guard from shifting. The “hairwasher” applies pressure to the splash guard via the handgrip to ensure that all hair solutions are guided through the troughs and discharged away from the eyes, nose and ears.

  • Patent number: 6825986
Abstract: The invention refers to the methods and means of conversion of electromagnetic radiation (mainly belonging to the optical range) with the purpose of forming of objects' images (mainly of spatially extended ones) within incoherent light. In an Optical System (OS) the following procedures are being performed: pre-defined distortion of optical motion of rays by means of Amplitude-Phase Mask (APM); optical-electronic conversion of distorted image of object 6 and deduction of the distortions inserted by the APM and by OS. Deduction of distortions is arranged by means of accorded spatial filtration of the distorted image. Distortion of optical motion of rays is accomplished in the direction that is close to the orthogonal one in regards to the distortions brought in by defocusing and by aberrations of the OS. In the meanwhile, the possibility to receive the function of distortions that possesses rotary symmetry is being secured.

  • Patent number: 6826494
Abstract: A pseudo noise generator includes a first arbitrary random number generator that generates two groups of first random number signals respectively corresponding to pre-divided Amplitude Probability Distributions, which are obtained by pre-dividing a specified Amplitude Probability Distribution into two parts at a specified level. A second arbitrary random number generator generates two groups of second random number signals respectively defined by a specified Pulse Duration Distribution and a specified Pulse Spacing Distribution at said specified level. One of the two groups of first random number signals are selected in accordance with the specified Pulse Duration Distribution and the specified Pulse Spacing Distribution defined at said specified level. The selected signals are converted, by a D/A converter, to pseudo noise of analog value in accordance with the Amplitude Probability Distribution, the specified Pulse Duration Distribution and the specified Pulse Spacing Distribution at the specified level.

  • Patent number: 6799863
Abstract: An adjustable utility light for suspension from an object has a nominal width and lateral edges, and both an elongate hollow member with opposing open ends and an axis. A pair of generally elongate gripping members is also present, each with a free gripping end and a hollow member engaging end. The gripping members are slidably and rotatably mounted with regard to associated open ends of the hollow member so as to be able to change the axial distance between the gripping members. An elongate biasing member extends through the hollow member and is attached at opposite ends to the gripping member. The biasing member is generally under tension so as to urge the gripping members towards each other, minimizing the distance between them. It is stretchable upon separation along the axis of the gripping members against its own biasing forces. An elongate lamp is provided with an axial length generally equal to the nominal width of the hollow member.

  • Patent number: 6741852
Abstract: A method and device is able to authenticate a subscriber of a digital mobile radiotelephone system vis-à-vis an authentication entity, wherein the subscriber firstly initializes vis-à-vis the authentication entity by executing several times the authentication algorithm containing stored subscriber-specific components and by storing the corresponding response parameters of the subscriber-specific components in a non-volatile memory. Systematic authentication of the subscriber of the mobile radiotelephone system vis-à-vis the authentication entity via a common interface is made possible by the authentication parameters stored in the memory since the authentication entity can always refer back to the response parameters of the individual subscriber module it already knows.

  • Patent number: 6695481
Abstract: A locking device and its assemblage are provided for confining an object. The locking device is used to confine the object having an end having a recess having a defining surface to prevent the object from being displaced in a direction. The locking device is a geometrically closed-loop body having a hollow portion, and has a flexibility so that upon being applied with an external force, the object will pass through the hollow portion and the end will thus be confined by the locking device while the force disappears. A simple process can be used to assemble and disassemble the locking assemblage.
