Abstract: A monitoring system includes at least one fixed location monitoring station, a remote central station and a communications link interconnecting the monitoring station with the remote central station. The monitoring station includes a processor coupled to an input device for retrieving subject identification definition data and subject location definition data. The processor also retrieves physiological parameter sampling data from the subject and determines whether the physiological parameter sampling data lies within boundary limits of the identification definition data and also determines whether the location of the monitoring station lies within boundary limits of the location definition data. In the event the sampling data and the fixed location are within boundary limits, the processor may actuate an access control to permit the subject to enter or exit a controlled premises.
Abstract: A foldable support system includes a sheet metal flange depending from a table and a sheet metal leg. A pivot pin extends through a slot in the flange and an aperture in the leg so that the leg may rotate and slide relative to the flange. The flange includes a bent tab which extends toward and beyond the leg and the leg includes an arcuate cut out channel having a mouth at a side edge of the leg and a cut out receptacle at its inner end. The bent tab is received in the receptacle to lock the leg in an unfolded position when the pivot pin is at the top of the slot, while the bent tab is within the channel to permit the leg to be rotated to a folded position, when the pivot pin is at the bottom of the channel.
Abstract: A hand tool is provided with a handle extension formed of a channel having a pair of side panels and a transverse spine panel. An articulated joint couples the channel to a handle of the tool. The articulated joint is formed by a pin which extends through registered “L” shaped slots in the side panels and a number one shaped slot formed through the handle adjacent its end. The handle extension can be rotated from a closed position, wherein the channel and the tool handle are juxtaposed, approximately 180° to an extension position for the application of increased torque or to an acute angle with respect to the handle. The channel may be locked in a selected position by a pivot latch, which is urged against a selected surface formed at the end of the handle.
