Abstract: A concrete breaking apparatus includes a wheeled support assembly having an open end to accommodate the variable positioning of an impact roller therebetween and a closed end opposite the open end. A frame having opposing longitudinal arms connected near one end so as to define open and closed end portions is pivotably supported by the wheeled support assembly on pivot arms which connect the frame to the wheeled support assembly. An impact roller is fixedly interposed for rotation between the opposing longitudinal arms of the frame near the open end portion thereof. The impact roller has opposing ends, an axis of rotation through the opposing ends, and a surface equipped with spaced apart primary and secondary impact members traversing the opposing ends of the roller.

Abstract: Visual and spatial information as a function of time is collected and saved for further processing to determine spacial and target identification for an information database. The later processed information is used to determine the spatial position of an object seen in the visual information. The method includes the high speed collection and time correlation of video images, spatial position information and vehicle attitude with minimal time offset between individual frames of view in digital sets of video data.

Abstract: The present invention provides a monodirectional pump comprising a body within which is accommodated a motor which activates a bladed rotor, the pump comprising an inlet opening for liquid and two outlet tips allowing for release of the liquid sucked by the pump through the two outlet tips simultaneously. The present invention also provides the uses of the pump, particularly in a system for washing surfaces, for example automobile windows and/or headlights.

Abstract: A sound attenuating device including a sound insulating structure and a windband. The sound insulating structure is constructed and arranged to receive vented air from an exhaust vent. The windband is affixed to the sound insulating structure and is constructed and arranged to prevent water from entering the sound insulating structure. The windband also provides a structure for attenuating sound.

Abstract: A release assembly is provided to aid the reversible and repositionable deployment of a defect occluder. The release assembly includes an occluder tether having a distal portion comprising at least one suture loop, and a snare structure having a distal portion comprising a snare element. The at least one suture loop is receivable through at least a portion of the defect occluder, and reversibly looped over an anchor element so as to permit reversible collapse the defect occluder for selective ingress and egress from a delivery catheter. The snare element is reversibly engageable with the anchor element so as to reversibly retain the at least one suture loop upon the anchor element, and thereby hold the defect occluder in a posture for reversible free-floating tethered deployment in a defect while being observable in a final position prior to release.

Abstract: A water treatment facility and method for treating effluents incorporating an input filter for removing bacterial contamination. The filter utilizes pipe and tube systems for distribution and drainage, which extend from both the inlet and outlets, which face each other at a spaced distance, and contain lengthwise perforations with filtration equipment therebetween. The water treatment apparatus utilizes a septic tank which includes a barrier, a waste water delivery pipe, an evacuation pipe for clean water, equipment for decantation of the heaviest matter at the bottom of the barrier and the surface accumulation of grease and light particles, anaerobic fermentation of the entrapped material, and protective equipment arranged to prevent plugging.

Abstract: Apparatus for moving at least one micro-rack using at least one piezoelectric motor driven by an oscillatory source as the moving force. The piezoelectric motor drives an extensible part, which engages a series of dihedrons formed along one side of the micro-rack, to provide a desired extension.

Abstract: An instruction leaflet made of paper comprising a box which contains this instruction leaflet together with the packaging and a content is provided along with a method of making same. The invention relates to an instruction leaflet for pharmaceutical products or similar comprising at least two superposed sheets joined on one of their edges, the instruction leaflet comprising at least one thinning line allowing the division of the originally single instruction leaflet into at least two distinct parts.

Abstract: An apparatus for and method of utilizing an internet terminal coupled to the world wide web to access an existing proprietary data base management system having a dialog-based request format. The user request is received by a web server from the world wide web and converted into one or more sequenced data base management commands. These data base management commands are sequentially presented to the data base management system and the intermediate products stored. After all of the sequenced data base management commands have been executed, the web server combines the intermediate products to form a complete response to the initial user request. The response is transferred to the user over the world wide web. Certain specialized service requests are defined which establish and modify system settings parameters. These system settings parameters are stored and used for controlling general system operation of the data base management system.

Abstract: An apparatus for and method of utilizing an Internet terminal coupled to the world wide web to access an existing proprietary data base management system having a dialog-based request format. The user terminal operates in a web browser environment during accesses to the existing proprietary data base management system. The data base management system provides facilities allowing the user to access its own internal directories and files while in the web browser environment. This is accomplished by making the access request to the proprietary data base management system which in turn accesses the requested data in the user terminal via the world wide web. The response is transferred back across the world wide web to the browser within the user terminal.

Abstract: A method of obtaining long shelf life liquid egg products, comprising the steps of; (a) selecting at least one of the liquid fractions (9, 10, 11) to be processed obtained after breaking of the eggs: egg white (9), egg yolk (10), whole egg (11); (B) heating the fraction or fractions (9, 10, 11) to a maintenance temperature between approximately 40 and 55° C. for the egg white fraction (9), and preferably 45° C., between 50 and 66° C. for the yolk fraction (10), and preferably 55° C., and between 50 and 66° C. for the egg white and yolk mixture fraction (11), and preferably 55° C.; (C) temperature maintenance of the fraction or fractions (9, 10, 11) at the maintenance temperature for a period between approximately 30 minutes and four days; and cooling to a temperature below approximately 20° C.

Abstract: The invention relates to a door for a railway vehicle, intended for a door opening having steps, on which there are provided a platform and a threshold above the steps to permit disembarking onto a railway platform situated higher than the steps. The invention is characterised in that the door includes a single leaf and a mechanism provided for controlling the unlocking of the threshold member with respect to the door, when the platform is in the position of use and the door opens, so that this threshold member remains in place opposite the edge of the platform in the position of use and the edge of the railway platform.

Abstract: A breast form receivable in the cup of a brassiere includes a breathable padded casing selectively filled with a flowable aggregate so as to substantially and comfortably conform to the chest cavity of a wearer, thereby being responsive to the movements of the wearer. The breathable padded casing includes a plurality of soft and supple composite panels joined together so as to loosely confine the flowable aggregate and thereby provide a soft but firm appearance for the breast form.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for an application program running on a Web browser to make service requests to a service routine running on an On-Line Transaction Processing (OLTP) system. When the application program requests a service on the OLTP system, the input data format required for the requested service is passed to the application program. The application program submits a service request to the service routine in the input data format, and receives a result of the service routine processing the service request in the output data format. The input and output data formats allow the application program to complete additional processing of the result in the output data format and make subsequent service requests to the OLTP system.

The user is permitted to access an HTML template within the internet terminal. Abstract: The facile tractor hook-up of the present invention includes a frame adapted to be received on a vertically moveable three point harness of a tractor. A hitching hook having a body, a loop engaging portion, and a spring tensioned keeper pivotally secured at one end to the body, is carried by the frame. The loop engaging portion has a hook shaped tip defining a loop receiving slot. The keeper has an open position allowing access to the loop receiving slot and a closed position extending to the hook shaped tip to close the loop receiving slot. A keeper actuator for remotely actuating the spring tensioned keeper between the closed and open positions is provided. A tongue adaptor, securable to towable apparatus, is further provided and includes an elongated tongue blade having a looped end portion for receipt by the loop engaging portion of the hitching hook and capture therein by the spring tensioned pivoting keeper.

Abstract: Each transmitter installed in tires on a vehicle generates a variable value, which is updated according to a predetermined sequence every time it sends data. The current value of the variable is transmitted to a receiver regularly along with other the information. The receiver determines whether any receptions have been skipped prior to the current reception based on whether or not the variable value included in the received data has been updated according to the sequence. The receiver judges that there is a communication failure when the number of skipped receptions is equal to or greater than an upper limit value and judges that there is no communication failure when the skipped reception number is less than the upper limit value. This permits easy and reliable detection of communication failures.

Abstract: A module used with a granular material dryer, such as a grain dryer. The module includes an outer wall, at least one channel and at least one outlet aperture. The channel is positioned relative to the wall such that the channel is in fluid communication with heated air otherwise passing through the dryer. The outlet aperture is in communication with a suction mechanism. Finally, the channel is associated with the outlet aperture such that the heated air will enter the outlet aperture, via activation of the suction mechanism, whereas the granular material will not occlude the channel of the outer aperture. In one preferred embodiment, the module of the present invention is configured to be insertable with an existing dryer to improve drying efficiency.
