Abstract: A method for measuring efficiency improvement in a heating system. The method includes the following steps: temperature sensors sense an outflow temperature. A controller records the temperature and a call time at a thermostat burner call. Software calculates a percentage of the reduction of fuel consumption, that the efficiency improvement saves. A display displays the percentage saved.

Abstract: A lighting assembly (9) for a standard in-store display shelf (2). The standard shelf is mounted on a standard in-store shelf bracket (4), having in-store header mounting hardware (6), which standard in-store display shelf (2) includes a conventional metal spring clip (10) for mounting a standard light fixture. The lighting assembly has a mount (11) for spring mounting to clip (10). The mount has rails (16-19), which form a pair of board channels (19A-B). A circuit board (20) slide mounts into the board channels. The circuit board serves as a mount for an array of Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs).

Abstract: A customer premises installation has a wireless multimedia center (WMC) for reception from one or more signal sources and for distribution of segments of signals from signal sources through the wireless multimedia center to a plurality of end units, in which the signals include video signals and broadband data. The wireless multimedia center receives all the signals and distributes segments of said signals via a transmitter. The video signals are transmitted by orthogonal frequency division multiplexing in which all signals are added together and summed as an orthogonal array having dimensions of time, frequency and amplitude, to transmit spread spectrum multiplexed signals. Each pulse has sufficiently long individual pulse widths to defeat multi-path, reflection and absorption phase induced losses. The video signals are distributed to one or more end units. The end units communicate with the wireless multimedia center, controlling which segments of which signals are distributed to each end unit.

Abstract: A jigsaw puzzle has a blank and computer-printable face. The jigsaw puzzle has a thick substrate which forms a thick substrate sheet. The thick substrate sheet has been die-cut, into thick puzzle pieces. The thick puzzle pieces are joined together by uncut lands between the thick puzzle pieces. The cuts and said lands are in such proportions as to allow users to separate the thick puzzle pieces from each other. The thick substrate is at least 0.020? thick.

Abstract: A toy animal for use with forward-facing toddler seat 7, for placement on an adult seat of transportation such as a motor vehicle. The toy animal has a body 2. The body 2 has a rear 16 with a vertical slot 4 near the rear of the body. The slot 4 extends from a top 4a of the rear of the body to a bottom 4B of the rear of the body. The slot 4 is of sufficient size to allow a bottom portion of a restraint, such as a buckle assembly 6 of a shoulder harness 11, to pass vertically through the slot 4, and locate the toy 2 on the child safety seat 7. Latching the buckle assembly 6 secures the toy 2 and a child to the forward-facing toddler seat 7.

Abstract: A system for securing a horizontal display component on different brands of slotted vertical rails, where the different brands of slotted vertical rails have different distances between the vertical rails, and different distances between slots. The system includes a pair of brackets, which slidably adjust their horizontal positions on the horizontal display component. Each of the brackets include a bracket front, secured to a bracket back, at a spacing which slidably encloses a horizontal member of the horizontal display component. A first hook is affixed to the bracket. A vertically slidable lower is slidable on the bracket. The vertically slidable lower has a second hook. The second hook has a slidably variable distance from said first hook, so that the first and second hooks may engage different pairs of said slots at their different distances.

Abstract: A method of treating abnormal growths in a patient. The growths include: cancers, tumors, fibroids, cysts, and cystadenomas. Dry leaves and stalks of a Chenopodium ambrosioides plant into a dried tea. Brew the dried tea in boiled water into a tea beverage. Administer the tea beverage to the patient by having the patient drink the tea daily. The method also reduces high PSA counts.

A needle assembly slot is in the body, at the needle end, for receiving a needle assembly from a side of the body. A seat at the needle end of the housing receives and locates a corresponding seat portion of the needle assembly within the housing. Depressing the plunger housingward impales the vial onto a penetrator of the needle assembly and seats the assembly firmly.

Abstract: Low energy, ultra-short (femptosecond) pulsed laser radiation is applied to the patient's eye in one of a number of patterns such that the exposed ocular tissue is ablated or excised through the process of optical breakdown or photodisruption in a very controlled fashion. The process can be gentle enough that the invention makes possible the performance of a number of surgical procedures that in the past could not have been performed at all, such as capsulorhexis, or were performed in a fashion that provided less than an ideal result or excessive trauma to the ocular tissue. Such latter applications include the making of incisions for corneal transplantation, radial and arcuate keratotomy, and intrastromal cavitation. Using the laser inside the eye allows the surgeon to perform glaucoma operations such as trabeculoplasty and iridotomy, cataract techniques such as capsulectomy, capsulorhexis and phacoablation, and vitreoretinal surgery, such as membrane resection.

The bolt engages a hole in the anchor to draw the anchor member against the wall to clamp the anchor assembly to the wall.

Abstract: A store display, for one handed dispensing a measured volume of bulk items such as hard candy, has a storage compartment. The storage compartment has a sloping floor for gravity feeding a dispenser. A chute, attached to the separator and moveable with it, prevents dispensing in a low position, in which low position a separator allows bulk items to flow towards the chute. One hand holding a bag drives the assembly of chute and separator up to where the separator separates the measured volume of bulk items, and the chute communicates between the measured volume and an exit. The chute thereby permits the measured volume of bulk items to flow out the exit, and into the bag.

Abstract: The present invention provides an external burner shut-off for oil fired heating systems. More specifically, the present invention provides a burner control circuit interrupt for a burner control circuit. The interrupt includes a pair of switches controlled by a relay coil. One of the switches opens the power supply to the burner control circuit and the other switch provides power to a timer circuit of the interrupt. The timer circuit counts down from a predetermined time to allow sludge in an oil holding tank to resettle after an oil delivery. The interrupt provides a fail-safe feature to insure that the burner control circuit is not inadvertently interrupted.

Abstract: A product display dispenser in which products are loaded in a tray and brought forward by a spring pusher to the dispensing position one-by-one as the forwardmost product is lifted from the dispenser. A canopy overlies the products and prevents the upward movement of the product. A retaining lip is disposed on the underside of the canopy to prevent any rearward movement of the product when the first product is removed from the dispenser.

Abstract: A molded one-piece flexible plastic strip handle includes a first wall at one end of the strip that extends from the mid-portion of the strip, a second wall attached by one end to the first wall forming a U with the first wall having its apex below the plane of the mid-portion, and a tongue that extends from the apex toward the second end of the strip and makes an acute angle with the first wall. An opening in the first wall is configured to receive the tongue when it is bent toward the opening by inserting the second wall and first wall in a predetermined opening in a container wall.
