    Abstract: A shoe has a sole with a toe, heel and arch. A two part heel has a low heel block attached to the sole heel and includes a slot therein. A high heel extension is attached to the low heel block through a support beam having a substantially rectangular cross-section capable of limited axial and pivotal movement. The fit between the beam and the slot prevents rotational movement of the high heel about its axis. The high heel extension can be pivoted between a first position where it underlies the low heel block and a second position where it lies beneath the sole arch. The bottom of the low heel block has a heel lift extending downwardly engaging the ground when the high heel is stowed. This low heel lift is enclosed by a beveled edge at the top of the high heel piece when it is vertical.

    Abstract: A decorative cap and nut for securing a toilet base to a floor includes a top substantially disc-shaped member having an upper disc surface and a lower disc surface. The diameter of said disc-shaped member is substantially greater than the thickness thereof so as to lie substantially flush with the toilet base. A coaxial cylindrically shaped stem extends vertically downwardly from the top and is connected to the lower disc surface. The stem includes an internal thread adapted to be threaded onto a floor bolt that extends upwardly through an aperture in the toilet base. A slot in the upper disc surface can be engaged by a tool for rotating the top and an O-ring located on the under disc surface seals the disc-shaped member to the upper surface of the toilet base. A plug fits within the slot to hide the same. The stem and top can be integrally formed in a single piece or can be made of more than one piece joined together.

    Abstract: A safety neck razor to be used on the back of a person's neck includes a body having a top surface and a bottom surface, the bottom surface being generally flat and having an opening adapted to releasably secure a razor blade therein. Right and left side contoured edges extend upwardly from the bottom surface and an undulating protuberance extends upwardly from the center of the top surface. The protuberance has a right and a left side with a first well formed between the right side of the protuberance and the right side contoured edge and a second well formed between the left side of the protuberance and the left side contoured edge. The protuberance fits between the fingers of a person's hand and is gripped by the person's fingers so that the fingers rest completely within a respective well.

    Abstract: A safety system for a fluid conduit includes an elongated flexible conduit having a first end and a second end and a central opening running therethrough and capable of transporting a first fluid under pressure. A first valve is located near the first end of the conduit and a second valve is located near the second end of the conduit. Each of the valves is moveable between a closed position and an open position so as to control the flow of the first fluid through the conduit. The central opening of the conduit is surrounded by a conduit wall which extends substantially the entire length of the conduit. A plurality of enclosed channels are located within the conduit wall and extend at least a substantial length of the conduit. A second fluid under pressure is contained in the channels and a sensor is provided for monitoring the pressure of the second fluid within the channels.

Said PSAP telephone numbers being stored in a server data base and providing a means whereby a person logged-onto the server can call this PSAP telephone number, explain the reason for the call, provide the call taker with log-on information allowing access to the server and the data transmitted from the wireless telephone so that he can access mapped location information showing the location of the wireless telephone and then take appropriate action.

The introducer needle and the guide wire are inserted into a patient's vein and the spring motor releases the outer needle into the vein after the introducer needle and the guide wire are properly placed within the patient. The introducer needle, the guide wire, and the spring motor are removed from the patient after the outer needle is in place within the vein.

    Abstract: An oxygen tank key includes an elongated substantially thin flat handle portion defining a first plane and having first and second ends that define the length thereof and first and second side edges that define the width. A socket, integrally formed with the handle portion between the two ends, has a thickness that is greater than the thickness of the handle portion. The socket includes an aperture that opens adjacent one of the side edges and has a depth extending substantially the width of the handle portion. The aperture has a substantially rectangular cross-section and is adapted to fit onto the rectangularly shaped end of an oxygen tank valve control stem. A slot passes through the handle and is elongated in the direction of the length of the handle. The slot includes champhered ends and is adapted to fit over the lever of a regulator for the oxygen tank to help release the regulator from the tank.

    Abstract: A slotted rod for a construction toy is comprised of an elongated rod member having a body portion with a length that is substantially longer than the thickness. A conventional connector is located at each end of said rod member for connection to a hub member or to another rod member for constructing a structure utilizing the construction toy system. The rod includes a plurality of elongated slots arranged around the periphery with each slot extending axially along the length thereof. Each slot is capable of allowing a piece of sheet-like material to pass therethrough. The slots may be formed directly in the body portion of the rod member or in a sleeve that slides over and covers the body portion. In one embodiment, the slot has an opening at one end thereof whereby the sheet-like material can be inserted into the slot by moving it axially into position.

    Abstract: A thwartable link for a vertical fishing line includes a substantially tubularly shaped body having a first end and a second end and first and second opposed side walls extending between the first and second ends. Each of the side walls has an axially extending elongated slot passing therethrough. A knife blade is located within the interior of the tubular body adjacent the first end but facing the second end. The fishing line extends through the slots in the side walls and through the interior of the tubular body. A stop is attached to the line adjacent the first side of the tubular body preventing the line from being pulled through the elongated slot in the first side. A tether extends between the second end of the tubular body and the line. The tether is connected to the line on the same side as the stop means but is spaced therefrom. An elastic O-ring surrounding the tubular body temporarily retains the line adjacent the second end of the tubular member.

The sensor is in communication with the containment system. The sensor may include an electric eye that detects the presence of the projectile entering the containment system. The sensor may also include a feedback line connected to the control system that automatically shuts off the control system when a problem is detected. The sensor may also emit an audible signal. One or more counters count the number of projectiles launched and the number entering the containment system. A difference in the count is an indication of a problem.

The proposed system is contained within a long, large, non-corrosive, open-ended, double-walled tubular-shaped vacuum or conventionally insulated dewar, which is cantilevered in two or more units from the wind turbine's steel tower. The major internal components consist of a large screen grid, a small screen filter, a low-speed electric turbo-style fan and, most importantly, a series of coated frost-free heat exchangers of differentiated design that freeze the carbon dioxide in the moving air into a form of flake-like dry ice which is then captured for potential reuse or underground sequestering.

Each of the end caps is separable into two parts so as to be able to be positioned around the cords.

    Abstract: Power driven pliers are capable of twisting the ends of a plurality of electrical wires together to make an electrical and mechanical connection therebetween. The pliers include first and second jaws and first and second handles. The jaws and handles are pivotally connected to each other at a pivot point such that movement of said handles toward each other moves said jaws toward each other. A rotatable chuck is carried by one of the jaws and has a central opening adapted to have a plurality of wire ends insertable therein. A portion of the chuck is moveable between an inoperable position wherein the wire ends can be inserted into the opening and an operative position wherein the chuck tightly grasps the wire ends. An electrical motor carried by the pliers and connected to the chuck is capable of rotating the chuck. An electrical switch is carried by the pliers and is located so as to be pressed by a user's thumb while holding the pliers.
