  • Patent number: 4974306
Abstract: A crosscut fixture for a table saw which includes a flat board, a guide rail which is fixed to the bottom surface of the board, and an elongated guide bar which is pivotally connected to the top surface of the board for enabling the guide bar to move relative to the board to a plurality of angular positions relative to the saw blade. The fixtures provided with a clamping device for locking the guide bar to the board at any desired angular setting. The guide bar is also provided with a length gauge and the board is provided with an angle scale which is intersected by the rear surface of the guide bar. The angular position of the guide bar relative to the saw blade is determined by aligning the lower edge of the rear surface of the guide bar at the appropriate angular marking on the scale. • Patent number: 4957334
Abstract: An interlock system for a multi-draw cabinet having a latching module for each drawer which is actuated by the movement of the draw between an open and a closed position relative to the cabinet. Each latching module includes a base which is mounted to the side wall of the cabinet and includes an actuating lever which is pivotally mounted on the supporting base and is moved between a non-actuating position and an actuating position through an inter-connection between the lever and the drawer. An elongated transmitter extends between each adjacent latching module for relative longitudinal movement between adjacent latching modules within appropriate vertical passageways in the modules. Each latching module has a horizontal passageway which intersects the vertical passageway and which contains a horizontally-extending transmitter which is moved toward the vertical passageway by movement of the actuating lever from its non-actuating position to its actuating position upon opening of its corresponding drawer.

  • Patent number: 4953495
Abstract: A system for coating articles by the use of electrostatic attraction of ionized particles which are subsequently cured. The system includes a pair of carriers for jointly carrying each article through the system, from application of the particles to the article through curing of the particles on the article. Each carrier is capable of carrying the article independently of the other. After deposition of the particles on the article the article and the carriers are conveyed through a cleaning station wherein one of the carriers is moved out of carrying engagement with the article and cleaned while the article supported by the other carrier. The other carrier is then moved out of supporting engagement with the article and cleaned while the article is supported by the first carrier.

  • Patent number: 4925473
Abstract: Control of speed and uniformity of the heating of the working zone of the preform in a glass drawing operation in which the softening heat is applied by forced convection (13), using a separate fluid heating zone to introduce temperature and velocity controlled fluid. The size of the working zone is further controlled by changing (18) the configuration of a movable exit sleeve. Uniformity and accuracy of temperature is enhanced by normalization (10) of the temperature of the preform close to a preselected value before the preform enters the furnace. A glass drawing apparatus embodies the preferred means to carry out the process, providing a two-chamber furnace having an air heating chamber (44) connected by air delivery channels (51) to a drawing chamber (43). The drawing chamber has preform inlet (41) and a drawn product outlet (56). Each of the latter preferably has an adjustable opening diameter. The inlet is provided with a pre-cooling collar (35).

  • Patent number: 4921285
Abstract: A connecting rod gearing for windows, doors, etc. having two oppositely shiftable connecting rods under a cover rail. The rotational plane for the toothed rim of a pinion and the plane of motion of the engagement toothings which mesh therewith on two thrust links lie in the cross-sectional area of the housing usually occupied by the cover rail so that the crown (addendum) circle diameter of the pinion can correspond to the complete cross-sectional width of the cover rail. This large pinion diameter results in correspondingly large adjustment differences for the two oppositely shiftable thrust links for a given angle of rotation of the pinion.
