Abstract: The invention relates to a process for concentrating vegetable juice or fruit juice, wherein a permeate stream and a retentate stream are formed by subjecting the juice to an ultrafiltration step and subjecting the permeate stream to evaporative concentration. Further, the invention relates to the use of the thus obtainable concentrated juice for preparing a vegetable or fruit juice by diluting the concentrate with water.
Abstract: In an apparatus for continuously recovering sulfur from a gas stream containing 0.1 to 3.0 vol-% H2S, further gaseous sulfur compounds and sulfur, the gas stream first is passed over a reduction stage consisting of hydrogenation catalyst and then over a selective oxidation stage consisting of oxidation catalyst. To reduce the amount of apparatus involved, it is provided to arrange the reduction stage and the selective oxidation stage in a reaction tank and to leave a space for introducing a gaseous cooling medium into the gas stream between the two stages.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process and a device for the removal of dust, HF, HCl, SO2, SO3, heavy metals, heavy-metal compounds, polyhalogenated hydrocarbons and polycyclic hydrocarbons from combustion flue gases by treating the pollutant-containing combustion flue gases with a sorbent in a circulating fluidized bed. The process is characterized in that the sorbent used is a mixture of Ca(OH)2, at least one naturally occurring zeolite and a carbon-containing substance, in that the treatment of the pollutant-containing combustion flue gases with the sorbent is carried out at from 120 to 180° C.

Abstract: The polymeric nanoparticles including olfactive components have a glass temperature of >50° C. They are obtainable by continuously adding a monomer component and an olfactive component to an aqueous solution. The aqueous solution comprises a first initiator and an emulsifier. The added components are distributed in the aqueous solution to obtain reaction mixture while the polymerization of the monomer component is started at the first temperature. The liquid monomer component and the olfactive component are added continuously while a second initiator is added dropwise to the reaction mixture and the first temperature is maintained. After terminating the addition of liquid monomer component and the olfactive component the temperature of the reaction mixture is increased to a second temperature and a third initiator is added dropwise.

Abstract: A lubricating composition includes, in weight %, at least 90 percent of a vegetable oil, and an additive composition including: (a) about 1.5 to 2 percent triphenylphosphorothionate (TPPT), (b) about 0.1 to 3 percent hindered phenolic antioxidant, (c) about 0.05 to 0.25 percent 1-[di(phenyl)aminomethyl]tolutriazole, and (d) about 0.05 to 0.5 percent alkyl succinic acid half ester rust inhibitor.
Abstract: Antimony dithiocarbamate is known to provide extreme pressure (EP) protection in lubricating compositions, such as grease. However, there is a desire to reduce the amount of antimony used in such compositions, while still maintaining acceptable EP performance. It has now been found by using small amounts of either ammonium dithiocarbamate or zinc dithiocarbamate in combination with the antimony dithiocarbamate (SbDTC), a lower amount of SbDTC can be used in the lubricating composition while still maintaining excellent or exceptional EP protection. To counteract the corrosive effects of the SbDTC and ammonium dithiocarbamate composition, it has been found that compounds containing a carboxylic acid group are effective in avoiding copper corrosion.

Abstract: The invention relates to a novel asymmetrical, secondary dialkylamine-based molybdenum dithiocarbamate with improved friction reducing performance, viscosity and solubility, and lubricating compositions containing the same. The compounds are produced from asymmetrical dialkylamine of the formula R1-NH—R2 where R1 and R2 are different, and are independently selected from alkyl groups C3 to C19. In a preferred embodiment, R3 and R4 are different and are independently selected from alkyl groups C3 to C19.
