  • Patent number: 8323441
Abstract: An anti-theft marking method for the protection and tracking of objects and/or parts thereof is described. The method comprises assigning an identification code for the object and/or parts thereof to be protected by the code. The method further comprises identifying metal parts of the objects and/or parts thereof which are susceptible to rust and/or which are painted and susceptible to chipping and on which the code is to be engraved. A permanent transparent elastomeric adhesive tape is then applied over a region of the object and/or parts thereof where the code is to be engraved. Characters of the code are then engraved over the elastomeric tape and a clear protective lacquer is applied over the engraved code to seal perforations in the elastomeric adhesive tape made by the engraved code.

  • Patent number: 8325352
Abstract: A method and a system for producing a window shade having a real natural material printed image coated thereon. A real natural material is scanned and the data of the image is stored in a computer which generates an image of the scanned real natural material. That image is duplicated a plurality of times by the use of the computer and the images are assembled in a predetermined arrangement to produce a composite image which is then enhanced using photo-enhancing software. The enhanced composite image is then printed by the use of a colored ink printing machine on material to form the window shade. Preferably, but not exclusively, the material is constituted by slats of a louvered blind or a fabric of a roller blind.

  • Patent number: 8315609
Abstract: A personal call center that can schedule calls for a user, make the call at the scheduled time and connect the user when the other party answers, thus making the calls completely “hands free” and transparent for the user. In essence, the system can make an outbound call look and act like an inbound call. Advantageously, the system can also be used by a manager or a centralized call center to schedule calls for a given user or group of users. This way, managers or call centers can schedule calls, between salespersons and customers, and have calls go through without interaction from the salesperson.

  • Patent number: 8309708
Abstract: A method for producing crystalline sulphated cellulose II materials with relatively low degree of polymerization from spent liquors of sulphuric acid (H2SO4) hydrolysis of cellulose has been discovered. The method involves: 1) separating the spent liquors from the hydrolysed, acid-insoluble, cellulose I materials by dilution from, for example, a 64% H2SO4 hydrolysis medium to a residual sulphuric acid concentration of 10-50% with 0-40% H2SO4, followed by settling (or centrifuging) and decanting; 2) adding the diluted spent liquors to water or heating the diluted spent liquors at 30-80° C. for ?48 h; and 3) recovering the recrystallized sulphated cellulose II materials with relatively low degree of polymerization either by filtration and washing or by washing and freeze drying. The method can be used to concurrently produce both crystalline, sulphated cellulose I and the crystalline, sulphated cellulose II materials.

  • Patent number: 8297383
Abstract: An endless track suspension is comprised of a suspension support beam having an idler wheel assembly connected to a respective one of opposed ends thereof. At least one of the idler wheel assemblies has an endless track binding mechanism. Support wheels are secured to the suspension support beam and project from a lower face thereof. A drive sprocket is secured elevated above the suspension support beam by a support arm. The drive sprocket is secured to a vehicle drive axle by a coupling ring. The drive sprocket, the support wheels and idler wheels constitute an endless track support assembly for supporting an endless track in drivable engagement thereabout. A flexible connection of the drive sprocket support arm and the support wheels absorbs shocks and vibrations transmitted to the vehicle drive axle by the displacement of the endless track over a rough ground surface.
