Abstract: A device for fixing the position of a lid of a motor vehicle in the closed position, the lid being moveable between an open position and a closed position, in particular the position of the cover of a convertible top compartment, having a component attached to the body of the vehicle, and a component which is attached to the lid and which, when the component attached to the body assumes the closed position, is guided at least in one direction. The component attached to the lid or the component attached to the body has a base plate for connection to the lid or the body and an insertion element connected to the base plate. The base plate can be moved by means of a cam pivoted on the plate relative to the lid or the body. The movement of the cam is limited by two stop elements which are attached to the base plate and which are essentially opposite one another.

Abstract: The invention relates to a cosmetic composition having a cooling effect, particularly a clear gel or a spray. The composition has a long-lasting cooling effect of about 8 hours and comprises a cooling complex consisting of 0.05-0.15% Menthyl Lactate, 0.1-0.2% Menthyl PCA and 0.05-0.2% Ethyl Menthane Carboxamide.

The target asset allocation includes a target securities allocation and is computed using a function analyzing a trade-off between retirement time and retirement consumption of the individual. The method includes computing a critical wealth of the individual, a retirement wealth of the individual, and a wealth utility function of the individual. A determination of whether the individual is in a wealth maximizing phase or a critical wealth phase is made. The determination is based on whether the individual has a current wealth equal to or greater than the calculated critical wealth threshold. Having determined the relevant wealth phase, a target asset allocation for the current assets of the individual is computed.

Abstract: Additives for paper making are disclosed herein. Specifically, the additives are wax-free alternatives to conventional coatings, including ASA, AKD and optionally an acrylic containing composition. Other additives may be included in the coating, such as cationic particles or compositions. The coatings may be used at a variety of points during the paper making process, including on the calender stack and in the wet end.

Abstract: An integrated circuit is described that includes a stored program processor for test and debug of user-definable logic plus external interface between the test/debug circuits and the component pins. The external interface may be via an existing test interface or a separate serial or parallel port. Test and debug circuits may contain scan strings that may be used to observe states in user-definable logic or be used to provide pseudo-random bit sequences to user-definable logic. Test and debug circuits may also contain an on-chip logic analyzer for capturing sequences of logic states in user-definable circuits. For example, a mobile device can indicate, over a data channel, that a PBX is to make a call on its behalf to a called party. The PBX can call back the mobile device, call the called party, and bridge those call legs to establish the call. The mobile device can employ mechanisms that a particular incoming call is made by the PBX. These mechanisms can include using ANI information, sending, and receiving audible verification codes over the voice channel established after answering the incoming call. The verification codes can be selected based different behaviors of the mobile devices.

Abstract: There is disclosed an electrostatic discharge (ESD) device tester and a method of operating the tester. In an embodiment, the method comprises operating the tester by uniquely identifying an ESD device to be tested using identification means provided on the tester; taking at least one test measurement of the uniquely identified ESD device using testing means provided on the tester, the testing means being configurable in dependence upon data associated with the uniquely identified ESD device; and storing the at least one test measurement in a storage means provided in the tester. A running average of test measurements for the uniquely identified ESD device may be stored on the tester in order to compare a test measurement against the running average. A test is repeated if a test measurement falls outside of a predetermined range of the running average.

The message is secured by embodying the message in a function of a public key derived from a private key selected by one of the correspondents. The method comprises first obtaining the public key. The public key is then subjected to at least one mathematical test to determine whether the public key satisfies predefined mathematical characteristics. Messages utilizing the public key are accepted if the public key satisfies the predefined mathematical characteristics.
