Abstract: A gantry has a cylindrical shape and rotates around a subject on a top panel about the body axis. An X-ray irradiating part is arranged inside the gantry and emits an X-ray. An X-ray detector is arranged at a position facing the X-ray irradiating part and detects the X-ray transmitted through the subject. PET detectors are arranged in two separate regions facing the rotation center and detect ?-rays emitted from the positron-emitting nuclides. A moving mechanism moves the top panel and the gantry relatively to each other. An X-ray CT image generator generates an X-ray CT image of the subject based on the result of detection by the X-ray detector. A PET image generator generates a PET image of the subject based on the ?-rays detected by the PET detectors on the circumference in accordance with rotation of the gantry.

Abstract: A CT value of an image within a region of interest is calculated with time. While the calculated CT value does not exceed a predetermined threshold value, a reconstruction mode used when an image is reconstructed from projection data is set to half reconstruction. On the other hand, while the calculated CT value exceeds a predetermined threshold value, the reconstruction mode is set to segment reconstruction.

Abstract: An image decoding method is for decoding a bit stream in an image decoding apparatus. The method includes receiving the bit stream and a weight parameter that is added to a luma quantization parameter by an addition operation. The method also includes decoding, in a decoding unit in the image decoding apparatus, the bit stream and generating a chroma component of quantized coefficients. In addition, the method includes performing, in a dequantization unit in the image decoding apparatus, dequantization on the chroma component of quantized coefficients using the chroma quantization parameter calculated on the basis of a luma quantization parameter weighted by the weight parameter.

Abstract: A substarate processing apparatus capable of reducing the capacity of a space in an internal chamber. The internal chamber is housed in a space in an external chamber. A gas supply unit supplies a process gas into the space in the internal chamber. The space in the external chamber is under a reduced pressure or filled with an inert gas. An enclosure being movable and included in the internal chamber defines the space in the internal chamber with a stage heater included in the internal chamber. When a wafer is transferred in and out by a transfer arm used to transfer the wafer, the enclosure exits out of a motion range within which the transfer arm can move.
Abstract: A beam dose computing method includes dividing a surface area of a target object into include first, second and third regions of different sizes, the third regions being less in size than the first and second regions, determining first corrected doses of a charged particle beam for correcting fogging effects in the first regions, determining corrected size values for correcting pattern line width deviations occurring due to loading effects in the second regions to create a map of base doses of the beam in respective of said second regions and to prepare a map of proximity effect correction coefficients in respective of said second regions, using the maps to determine second corrected doses of the beam for proximity effect correction in the third regions, and using the first and second corrected doses to determine an actual beam dose at each position on the surface of said object.
