Abstract: An object of the invention is to provide a production method for (meth)acrolein or (meth)acrylic acid which can continue an operation without causing a decomposition reaction of acrolein or the like. According to the invention, provided is a production method for (meth)acrolein or (meth)acrylic acid, in which (meth)acrolein or (meth) acrylic acid is obtained by performing a catalytic gas phase oxidation on propylene, propane or isobutylene by using oxygen by means of a heat-exchange type multi-tubular reactor, having a tube bundle portion in which a multiple of reaction tubes each filled with a catalyst are aligned in parallel to one another and a tube plate which is adjacent to a downstream side of the tube bundle portion of the reaction tubes and forms a lead-out portion for a reaction gas, in which the tube bundle portion of the reaction tubes has a hollow-columnar constitution as a whole, and which is characterized in that a rectifier is provided on a tube plate.

Abstract: A scanning optical system leads the light fluxes deflected by the polygon mirror to a photosensitive drum. An absolute value of a lateral magnification in a main scanning direction is larger than an absolute value of a lateral magnification in a sub-scanning direction. Moreover, a beam diameter in the sub-scanning direction on a surface of the photosensitive drum is equal to or smaller than a beam diameter in the main scanning direction and larger than a scan line interval.
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a semiconductor device including word lines of memory cells and a pair of select gate lines. A first insulating film, a first conductive film, a second insulating film, and a first resist are sequentially formed above a semiconductor substrate. The first resist includes first patterns formed in a first region above the second insulating film and having almost the same width and interval as those of the word lines, and second patterns formed in a second region adjacent to the first region above the second insulating film with a width substantially equal to the sum of the widths of the select gate lines and the interval of the select gate lines. The second and the first conductive films are patterned to form the word lines. A second resist is used to pattern the second insulating film and the first conductive film to form the select gate lines.
Abstract: A switching power source apparatus includes a switching element connected through a primary winding of a transformer to a DC power source, a start circuit for a control circuit, a rectify-smooth circuit of a voltage of a secondary winding of the transformer, and a rectify-smooth circuit to rectify and smooth a voltage of a tertiary winding of the transformer into a source voltage for the control circuit. The start circuit supplies a first starting current to start the apparatus and stops the first starting current once the apparatus has started. If the source voltage to the control circuit decreases to a turn-off voltage after the apparatus has started, the start circuit supplies a second starting current that is smaller than the first starting current. If the source voltage to the control circuit further decreases to a predetermined voltage that is lower than the turn-off voltage, the start circuit supplies the first starting current.
Abstract: A spin injection write type magnetic memory device includes memory cells which have a magnetoresistance effect element and a select transistor. The magnetoresistance effect element has one end connected to a first node. The select transistor has a first diffusion area connected to another end of the magnetoresistance effect element and a second diffusion area connected to a second node. A select line extends along a first direction and is connected to a gate electrode of the select transistor. A first interconnect extends along a second direction and is connected to the first node. A second interconnect extends along the second direction and is connected to the second node. Two of the memory cells adjacent along the first direction share the first node. Two of the memory cells adjacent along the second direction share the second node.

Abstract: A testing method of a thin-film magnetic head has an MR read head element with a multi-layered structure including a magnetization-fixed layer, a magnetization-free layer and a nonmagnetic intermediate layer or a tunnel barrier layer sandwiched between the magnetization-fixed layer and the magnetization-free layer. The method includes a step of feeding through the MR read head element a sense current, a step of measuring non-signal output versus frequency characteristics of the MR read head element over a frequency range that covers at least FMR of the magnetization-fixed layer, and a step of discriminating whether the thin-film magnetic head is a head providing high-temperature noises by comparing a frequency of a peak of the non-signal output resulting from FMR of the magnetization-fixed layer with a threshold.

Abstract: A print control system, method, and computer-program product with a print dialogue box and a printing information dialogue box. In response to a print request, the print dialogue box displays current print settings, enables modification to the print settings, and confirms the print job. Upon a confirmation of the print job, the printing information dialogue box displays automatically a synopsis of the print settings for the impending print job. The automatically displayed printing information dialogue box allows the user to confirm that the print settings are indeed the print settings desired for the particular print job prior to issuance of the print job to the printer. The printing information dialogue box permits cancellation, modification, or continuation of the print job. Once the print job has been completed, a print job dialogue box indicates that the print job is complete.
Abstract: The invention relates to a wireless optical data transmission system and a method for wireless optical transmission of data. The system comprises a data stream generator for generating at least two parallel data streams (18.1, 18.2, 18.3). The parallel data streams are transmitted by a number of separate optical transmitting devices (8, 9, 10) separately by emitting first optical signals. The system further comprises a corresponding number of detectors (19, 20, 21) for detecting the first optical signals and converting them into respective second signals (26.1, 26.2, 26.3) and an error correction unit (31) for correcting the amended second signals. Within a predistortion (29) unit each second signal (26.1, 26.2, 26.3) is amended individually with respect to a transmission channel used.

Abstract: A plasma processing system including a plasma chamber (120) having a substrate holder (128) and a monitoring system (130). Abstract: To suppress occurrence of low temperature bubbles while securing pressure resistance to external forces applied to substrates of a liquid crystal display device, a plurality of spacers disposed between the substrates are divided into a plurality of spacer groups 2, one unit of which is configured with spacers 2a, 2b allocated in close proximity to each other; and the spacer groups 2 are disposed with a density that the low temperature bubbles do not occur. Hence, the strength of the substrates increases, and in a region 10 where no spacers exist, a large deformation of the substrates by shrinkage is allowed, and a liquid crystal layer 8 is sufficiently enough shrunk even under a low temperature environment to prevent the low temperature bubbles from occurring.
