Abstract: The service cabinet is for use around a utility pole for receiving electrical or communication equipment. The service cabinet comprises a frame having at least two complementary parts connectable together and to the bottom section of the utility pole. The frame generally defines a vertically-extending internal passage for enclosing the bottom section of the utility pole. A side wall is connected to the frame, providing at least one internal chamber. The service cabinet can be used around an existing utility pole as a retrofit cabinet, or be used around a newly installed utility pole. It does not create a new obstacle when used in an urban area and can have a low manufacturing cost since it uses the utility pole as a substrate.

The shoulder defines a machining site suitable for receiving a welded replacement piece for shaping a new tapered tip portion following removal of a worn tapered tip portion.
Abstract: Bit-transparent muxing of an input signal for transport through an optical communications network is provided. A fixed length container of the optical communications network is defined, which includes an overhead and a payload. A stuffing ratio (?) is based on a line rate of the input signal and a data rate of the container. A number (NFS) of fixed stuffs is computed based on the stuffing ratio (?). The input signal and NFS fixed stuffs are inserted into the payload of the container, and the computed number NFS stored in the container's overhead.
Abstract: A combustor heat shield has a body defining a fuel nozzle hole. The back face of the body is mounted adjacent and spaced-apart from a combustor dome. A ridge extends around the nozzle opening to a height adapted to substantially contact the combustor dome. The ridge thereby defines a cooling compartment between the body and the combustor dome. A plurality of slots is provided through the ridge. The slots are closed by the combustor dome to provide cooling holes when the heat shield is mounted on the combustor. The cooling holes direct pressurized cooling air from the compartment to adjacent regions of the back face of the heat shield body.

Abstract: The arrangement comprises parts coaxially mounted on the shaft, the parts including: a lockplate in rotational engagement with the shaft, the lockplate having a first side and a second side, the first side of the lockplate being in engagement with the component; a nut in threaded engagement with the shaft, the nut having a circumferential outer groove, a side of the nut being in pressing engagement with the second side of the lockplate; a damping element mounted in the groove and partially outwardly protruding therefrom; a lockwasher provided around the nut and in rotational engagement with the lockplate, the lockwasher having an interior surface in interfering engagement with the damping element; and a retaining element connected to the nut and to the lockwasher, the retaining element preventing the lockwasher from moving away from the lockplate.
Abstract: A mistake proof cable assembly for promoting short time engine assembly and method of assembling same. The mistake proof cable assembly comprises a slotted member defining a slot having an open end, and a cable connected to the slotted member and extending longitudinally through the slot. First and second restrainers are mounted on the cable on opposite sides of the slotted member for limiting free movement of the cable in the longitudinal direction of the slotted member. A lock prevents removal of the cable from the slot through the open end thereof.
Abstract: The arrangement comprises a fan by-pass duct located within the nacelle and having an inlet and an outlet. The outlet is generally oriented substantially radially and at an intermediary location along the nacelle. The nacelle has an aft section with an initially convex and substantially outwardly extending surface adjacent to the outlet of the fan by-pass duct. The surface of the aft section decreases in curvature and becomes concave towards a rear end of the engine.
Abstract: A system for decontaminating a fluid-injection system for a tub from organic growth comprises an ozone source and a pressure source, producing an ozone-enriched air output. Piping is connected to a fluid-injection system. A controller device actuates the ozone source and the pressure source such that the ozone-enriched air output is conveyed to conduits of the fluid-injection system. A switch manually actuated to stop an actuation of the ozone source, whereby organic growth in the conduits of the fluid-injection system is exposed to the ozone-enriched air output.

Abstract: A device for anchoring accessories to a surface of a tub has a fluid injection jet. The device comprises a connector adapted to be connected to an accessory. An anchor is interconnected to the connector, and is adapted to be connected to the fluid injection jet. A fluid passage is formed in the device so as to enable fluid to be injected therethrough and into the tub when the anchor is connected to the fluid injection jet. A method of anchoring accessories is also provided.

Abstract: A compound cycle engine (10) comprises a compressor (19) and a turbine section (16 & 20), and at least one cycle topping device (12) cooperating with the turbine section (16 & 20) to provide power. The cycle topping device (12) has an output shaft (26) extending at an angle to the turbine shaft (28). Angled gearing (34) is provided for connecting the gas turbine shaft (28) and the cycle topping device (12).
Abstract: A single stage high pressure turbine blade includes an airfoil having a profile substantially in accordance with at least an intermediate portion of the Cartesian coordinate values of X, Y and Z set forth in Table 2. The X and Y values are distances, which when smoothly connected by an appropriate continuing curve, define airfoil profile sections at each distance Z. The profile sections at each distance Z are joined smoothly to one another to form a complete airfoil shape.
