Abstract: A centerbody for the exhaust system of a gas turbine engine having an upstream end mounted within an exhaust duct casing of the exhaust system. The centerbody includes a plurality of ventilation openings defined in a centerbody wall which provide fluid flow communication between an internal cavity and exhaust gas flow surrounding the centerbody, such that ventilating air from within the cavity can exit into the exhaust gas flow.

Abstract: A method of bagging an article into a bag comprising: providing a web of stretchable film folded in two so as to provide first and second superposed bag panels, selecting a length of stretchable film as a function of the article to be bagged, cutting the film at the selected length, sealing the bag panels at the length to form a bag having an opening for receiving the article, stretching the bag in a taut open state, and lowering the bag in the taut open state thereof over the article.
Abstract: The system is used for taxiing an aircraft and comprises at least one multi-spool gas turbine engine, the engine having an electrical motor in a torque-driving engagement with a low pressure spool of the engine. The low pressure spool has a propulsor connected thereon to generate thrust when rotated. A controller is connected to the electrical motor and an electrical power source to control an amount of electrical power provided from the power source to the electrical motor so as to drive the propulsor and cause at least a major portion of the thrust to be generated by the propulsor for moving the aircraft during taxiing.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus to obtain a surface mapping of a ballistic piece of evidence (BPOE) under examination, such as a bullet or a spent cartridge case, that can be used thereafter as a 3D signature for identifying purpose during ballistic test comparison. The method comprises providing a measurement unit adapted to acquire a relief map of the surface of the BPOE and acquiring with the measurement unit the relief map of the surface to thereby obtain the mapping of the surface of the BPOE. Preferably, the measurement unit of the present invention comprises a confocal sensor such as confocal microscope. Also, the present invention includes acquiring the relief map of the bullet surface or of the cartridge case surface by acquiring and assembling a mosaic of regional reliefs that are partly overlapping with their surroundings regional reliefs.

Abstract: A method and system for monitoring the quality of a given gas mixture being transmitted under pressure by throttling a sample of the gas mixture to a representative pressure and measuring the hydrocarbon dew point of the sample at the representative pressure. Abstract: A temperature control system for controlling the rate of flow of a flammable fluid at generally constant pressure is disclosed. The system may include a flow control apparatus that is free of a regulator mechanism, for affecting the flow of the fluid. The flow control apparatus may be operable between at least a first flow rate and a second flow rate, and may have at least one upstream opening and at least one downstream opening. The system may also include a first burner in fluid communication with the downstream opening of the flow control apparatus and a conduit in fluid communication at one end thereof with the upstream opening of the flow control apparatus, and configured at the other end thereof for connection to a fuel supply. A thermocouple may be located in the vicinity of the burner, for converting a sensed thermal state into an electrical signal.
Abstract: A primary flow of the burner air stream is slowed relatively to a secondary flow of the air stream. Fuel is injected at a lower rate into the primary flow, which generates a more stable flame, and fuel is injected at a higher rate into the secondary flow, which generates a stronger flame. If the stronger flame is blown out, fuel in the secondary flow can be lit by the flame from the primary flow.
Abstract: A wall hanging system is comprised of a rigid straight load support strip securable in a horizontal position on a wall surface. The load support strip has a holding flange formed integral therewith and bent obliquely upward and outward. Two or more straight suspension rails, each having an attaching slot at upper end portion thereof extending transversely from a rear face thereof. The slot is configured to receive the holding flange there across whereby to hang the suspension rail from the load support strip at a desired location therealong. The suspension rail has a straight front central slot and a recessed connector bar spaced inwardly of an open front end of the slot for removable sercurement of article support connectors thereto. The connector bar is concealed inside the central slot.
Abstract: A denture attachment system includes an implant member adapted to be secured in a mandible such that a head of the implant member projects out of the mandible. A locking mechanism is adapted to be received in a denture so as to cooperate with the implant member to releasably secure the denture to the implant member. The locking mechanism has a receptacle for receiving the head of the implant member. A locking member is movable between a locking position in which the locking member blocks an access out of the receptacle by opposing a surface complementary to the shape of the head of the implant member to hold the implant member captive in the receptacle with points of contact between the head of the implant member and the locking member being diametrically opposed with respect to the head, and a release position in which the head of the implant member may enter/exit the receptacle).

Abstract: A floating dock structure is comprised of a pair of single-piece side rails secured together in spaced-apart substantially parallel relationship by a plurality of single-piece cross-members connected between the side rails to a lower tubular portion thereof. The side rails are hollow, tubular aluminum extruded side rails defining a top wall, an exterior side wall, a bottom wall and an interior side wall spaced inwardly from the exterior side wall. Elongated deck support stringers are secured in spaced-apart relationship on a top wall of the cross-members. Decking floor members are supported by the deck support stringers elevated from the top face of the cross-members a distance of up to about five inches (5 inches) to create underfloor passages adapted for the passage of conduits and services material. Floatation support casings are secured under the cross-members.
