  • Patent number: 6784577
Abstract: In a rotor for a vehicular alternating current generator, a field coil is wound around an insulating bobbin. A flange of the bobbin is formed with the first, second and third hook portions. A coil winding finishing end is wound around the first hook portion and is opposed to a winding direction of the field coil. The finishing end is then directed in a radially inward direction with the second hook portion, and extended further in the radially inward direction along the axial end surface of the flange. Then, the finishing end is directed in the axial direction with the third hook portion, radially inside of the outer peripheral end of the field coil. The finishing end forms an angle with itself of less than 90 degrees around the first hook portion when being viewed along an axial direction of the first hook portion.

  • Patent number: 6636787
Abstract: A hybrid vehicle drive controller, to improve driving comfort during running control, that detects the position of the vehicle and road-condition information, calculates a required deceleration, an optimal speed-change stage, and an adjustable torque. The invention includes, transmission to change the vehicle's speed on the basis of the vehicle position, road-condition information and optimal speed-change stage, and a torque control processor for driving a drive motor that generates the adjustable torque. A regenerative torque is calculated and generated on the basis of the required deceleration and the deceleration corresponding to the optimal speed-change stage.

  • Patent number: 6214755
Abstract: A sintered silicon carbide containing nitrogen is obtained by sintering a mixture of a powder of silicon carbide and a nonmetallic auxiliary sintering agent. The sintered silicon carbide has a density of 2.9 g/cm3 or more and contains 150 ppm or more of nitrogen. The sintered silicon carbide preferably has a volume resistivity of 1 &OHgr;·cm or less and contains &bgr;-silicon carbide in an amount of 70% or more of total silicon carbide components. Nitrogen can be introduced into the sintered silicon carbide by adding a nitrogen source, for example, an amine such as hexamethylenetetramine, ammonia, and triethylamine in the production of the powder of silicon carbide which is used as the material powder for producing the sintered silicon carbide or by adding the nitrogen source in combination with the nonmetallic auxiliary sintering agent in the production of the sintered silicon carbide.

  • Patent number: 5978721
Abstract: A steering control apparatus which controls an amount of assist to a power assist mechanism so as to improve a steering characteristic of a vehicle. A steering torque detecting unit detects a steering torque transmitted to a steering mechanism and outputs a detection signal corresponding to the detected steering torque. An amount of assistance provided to the steering effort is controlled by a control unit based on the detection signal supplied by the steering torque detecting unit. The detection signal transmitted to the controlling unit is adjusted by an adjusting unit so that a hysteresis characteristic is provided to a relationship between a steering wheel torque applied to a steering wheel and the steering torque transmitted to the steering mechanism.

  • Patent number: 5871745
Abstract: Composition including two pathogenic and/or infective agents associated with multiple sclerosis, namely a first agent which consists of a human virus possessing reverse transcriptase activity and related to a family of endogenous retroviral elements, or a variant of the virus, and a second agent, or a variant of the second agent, these two pathogenic and/or infective agents originating from the same viral strain chosen from the strains designated, respectively, POL-2 deposited with the ECACC on Jul. 22, 1992 under Accession Number V92072202 and MS7PG deposited with the ECACC on Jan. 8, 1993 under Accession Number V93010816, and from their variant strains.

  • Patent number: 5839368
Abstract: To remarkably decrease the amount of material for the manufacture of ink containers and the volume of the ink containers after use, so as to contribute to the economy of natural resource consumption and solving the problem of destruction of global environment by the waste of products, without sacrificing the easiness of handling the ink containers for printers, the ink container for directly storing ink is principally constructed by a thin walled vessel contractible according to discharge of the ink therefrom, with a nozzle being connected to an end portion of the vessel, with a disk handle being mounted to the nozzle, so that the disk handle can be grasped by five fingers of a hand for carrying the ink container by hand and for removing a cap therefrom. For the ink container being mounted into a printer, the ink container is mounted into a reinforcing case with the nozzle and the disk handle, so that the ink container is handled like the case.
