Abstract: A grease skimming and removal apparatus for use with grease trap settling tank apparatus provides a vertically elongated, vertically extending tower housing on the top wall of a grease trap tank and provides a power driven, vertically elongated, vertically extending rotating skimmer belt loop arranged to skim and transport grease and oils from wastewater contained in the grease trap tank to a vertically-elevated position above the top wall of the settling tank for gravity discharged therefrom and into a collection vessel releasably secured to the tower housing above the top wall of the grease trap tank.
Abstract: A magnetic connector apparatus provides a plurality of magnetic connector bodies in various different forms for magnetic connection of two or more bodies together along mutually-confronting, longitudinally-elongated, linear peripheral border edges, each linear peripheral border edge having at least one particularly-configured longitudinally elongated, cylindrical magnet supported adjacent thereto for rotation of the magnet adjacent said peripheral edge of each connector body for orientation of the magnetic polarity of magnets of confronting connector bodies for mutual magnetic attraction along, mutually confronting, linear peripheral border edges of magnetic connector bodies.
Abstract: The Christmas tree stand of this invention includes a lateral segment of the bottom end of a vertical post, and an upwardly projecting wedge adjacent the outer end of the lateral segment is arranged to penetrate the bottom end of a Christmas tree to secure the latter against lateral displacement relative to the post and against rotation about the axis of the tree. The wedge is formed as a triangular shaped member and is secured to the lateral extension of the post, as by welding.
Abstract: The cleanout cover system of this invention is operable with a container having a reciprocating slat-type conveyor for supporting and moving particulate material rearwardly at an unloading site. The container has laterally spaced side walls and a front connecting wall, the rear end being operable for unloading. The cleanout system includes a flexible cover sheet spanning the distance between the side walls and an elongated strap connected at one end to the center point of the front end of the cover and at its opposite end to a strap wind-up reel powered by a pneumatic motor. The reel and motor assembly is mounted on the container adjacent the upper end of the front wall of the container centrally between the side walls.
Abstract: A tactile identification and direction guidance system and method for blind and otherwise visually impaired persons provides a plurality of substantially identical, longitudinally elongated marker members for support on an underlying walkway in laterally spaced apart, substantially parallel groups having different predetermined numbers of laterally spaced marker members forming different predetermined patterns each identifying and designating a different type of obstacle encountered by the visually impaired person, the person's proper movement required relative to the obstacle being indicated and directed by the positioning of the elongated dimension of the laterally spaced, substantially parallel extending marker members on a predetermined, line of travel orientation relative to the obstacle for proper movement of a person thereby.
Abstract: The Christmas tree stand of this invention includes an annular ring base supporting a central upright post having a tree trunk set pin at its bottom end and a transverse opening adjacent its top end for receiving the screw thread end of a screw crank for threading into the side of a tree trunk. The screw crank extends from the screw thread end to an intermediate angular bend which includes an arcuate portion providing an impact anvil aligned with the screw thread for striking by a hammer to set the screw thread into the side of a tree trunk. The screw crank is secured releasably to the ring base for storage, by a socket member secured to the ring base for receiving the screw thread end and by an angular clip member secured to the ring base to capture an intermediate portion of the screw crank.
Abstract: A flexible drag stretcher is arranged for storage and transport in a tightly rolled, compact cylindrical storage condition for hand carrying and for mounting on the backpacks of soldiers and hikers, for unrolling of the stretcher into an operative stretcher condition arranged to protectively secure an injured person thereon for emergency drag removal from the scene of an injury by one or more persons, the stretcher having a single center base panel formed of a flexible sheet material and mounting a pair of opposite, flexible side torso flap members arranged to be snugly cinched against the sides of only the torso portion of an injured person's body, whereby to secure the patient to the stretcher during operation of the stretcher.
Abstract: A towel warmer and dryer cabinet includes a furniture style cabinet having an open front side and configured to contain a towel support rod assembly in which laterally spaced frame members support between them one or more towel support rods spaced apart for draping towels thereon to allow heated air to pass through them. The frame members are movable between a retracted storage position confined within the cabinet and an operative position extending forwardly through the open front side of the cabinet. A source of heated air provides a current of warmed air moving from within the cabinet through the open front end thereof and around towels draped over the support rods. A front panel is hung from the upper front side of the frame members for swinging movement to open and close the front side of the cabinet as the frame members are moved between the operative and storage positions.
