  • Patent number: 6832544
Abstract: A sandwich preparation apparatus mounts a plurality of sandwich holder members arranged to receive, support and retain a sandwich in a partially open, generally upright condition for convenient filling with various, desired food ingredients and condiments, each of the plurality of sandwich holder members having an order card holder associated therewith for identifying each particular sandwich being prepared so that identification of each one of different multiple sandwiches is maintained throughout their concurrent preparation and as the apparatus is carried from place to place about a sandwich preparation area during the preparation of the sandwiches. After a sandwich is completed, an opened sandwich bag may be placed over the end portion of a sandwich holder member and a sandwich supported thereon simply pushed, in sliding fashion directly into the bag which may be given to a customer as a completed, packaged sandwich product.

  • Patent number: 6820710
Abstract: A motorcycle having a speed control rotary throttle grip and a pivoted brake lever both mounted on a steering handlebar, is provided with a split clamp ring surrounding the throttle grip and movable to releasably clamp the throttle grip against rotation from a preset position of cruising speed. A catch pin supported by one section of the split clamp ring is movable with the other section of the clamp ring to releasably secure the sections together. The catch pin is movable either manually by physical force or automatically by movement of the brake lever during braking of the motorcycle speed. Manual force may be applied to move a clamp lever, while automatic operation is achieved by movement of the brake lever into engagement with the clamp lever.

  • Patent number: 6814134
Abstract: A compact cabinet cooler includes a housing made of two basket sections secured to a cabinet with one basket section extending into the cabinet and the other section extending outward of the cabinet. The housing encloses a plurality of heat transport tubes extending through a central plate and spaced apart in an annular array. The central plate is mounted on the rotor of an electric motor the stator of which is secured to a shaft anchored at its ends to the housing. Rotation of the motor rotor causes rotation of the central plate and the array of heat transport tubes. The tubes mount a multiplicity of spaced apart thin annular fins of heat conductive material and the tubes contain a heat transfer liquid for moving heat from the evaporator section of the housing to the condenser section of the housing.

  • Patent number: 6800035
Abstract: A metal ball is contained in a tubular container having one end of sound deadening material and the opposite end of a material that produces a sound when struck by the ball falling through the tube from the opposite end. The container is arranged for mounting preferably on the leading hand of a practicing golfer, such that the ball impacts the sound-producing end of the tube when the leading hand reaches the desired position at the top of the backswing segment and there pauses for a second or so, and at the desired position of the end of the follow-through segment. The mounting of the container is on a golfer's leading hand glove, wrist band, or other supporting device, with the sound producing end of the container facing the fingers of the practicing golfer.

  • Patent number: 6780292
Abstract: An electrolytic treatment apparatus includes a substantially hollow tubular outer vessel housing closed at its bottom end and provided with a liquid inlet and liquid outlet adjacent its bottom and top ends. A self-contained reactor cartridge unit integrates the vessel cap, electrodes, electrode supports, any electrode wiring connections and any liquid dispersion members into a single removable unit for installation into and removal from the vessel housing so that, when maintenance is required, complete reactor cartridges may be exchanged in a matter of seconds, thereby virtually eliminating downtime of the treatment system for maintenance and other electrode replacement needs.

  • Patent number: 6742211
Abstract: This application discloses a novel bridge construction for use in affording vehicle and pedestrian traffic over small streams and wetlands. The construction utilizes standardized sizes of pier blocks for supporting standardized deck plates, with interengaging anchor projections and sockets one on the upper ends of the pier blocks and the other on the undersides of the deck plates. Identical sockets also are provided on the bottom ends of the pier blocks for engaging the projections on underlying pier blocks, affording vertical stacking of pier blocks to accommodate varying vertical distances between a stream and an elevated roadway. A V-shaped groove formed by the tapered longitudinal edges of adjacent deck plates, together with a registering outward indentation communicating with the groove, is adapted for filling with a concrete grout, for securing the deck plates against vertical displacement.

  • Patent number: 6740146
Abstract: This invention includes a pair of chambers each containing a piston which is reciprocated slowly by a computer controlled reversible fluid pressure pump between an advanced position for moving room air through a molecular sieve bed to strip nitrogen from the air and deliver oxygen enriched air to a patient, and a retracted position to back-flush the sieve bed with oxygen enriched air and exhaust the nitrogen rich air to the atmosphere. The pistons may be moved by piston rods or by a rack and pinion drive. In a third embodiment a single cylinder forms a pair of chambers separated by a central exhaust chamber, and expandable bellows in the chambers extend and retract either alternatively or simultaneously. In a fourth embodiment a single cylinder containing a single piston forms a pair of chambers one on each side of the piston and a molecular sieve bed communicates with each chamber.

  • Patent number: 6681672
Abstract: The optimized band saw feed speed system of this invention is associated with a saw mill carriage reciprocable past a band saw by a power drive motor. The feed speed control system utilizes a first laser line arranged to allow video scanning of the diameter profile of a log on the carriage for measuring the impending depth of cut by the band saw blade as the carriage moves the log through the band saw. A second laser line is arranged to show on the band saw blade for detecting the lateral deviation of the blade from its path. A video camera is arranged to cover the diameter of a log on the carriage and to view the laser line projections and control the speed of the power drive motor of the carriage, to provide optimum speed of movement of the log through the band saw.
