  • Patent number: 4791500
Abstract: A method of writing information on a magnetic disk having a multiplicity of concentric recording tracks on a recording surface thereof, each track having sectors each of which includes a sector-identification field, and a data field on which the information is written. Initially, a magnetic head is positioned at a first erase position away from a centerline of selected one of the tracks by a predetermined distance in one of radially inward and outward directions of the disk. After reading the sector-identification field of selected one of the sectors of the selected track, the magnetic head is activated to perform a first erasing operation on the data field of the selected sector. Then, the head is moved to a second erase position away from the centerline by a predetermined distance in the other radial direction, and is activated to perform a second erasing operation on the same data field, after the sector-identification field has been raised.

  • Patent number: 4788811
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for the successive production of a number of paper packages fitted with respective spouts on a part of the top end portion thereof and charged with a liquid drink. The spout includes a spout proper having a general cylindrical outer configuration and formed generally therethrough with a liquid spouting passage provisionally closed or valved, and an attaching flange permanently fixed to the root end of the spout proper. For better sanitary purposes, the spout is introduced into the open end of a semipackage from inside thereof. The spout introduction and attaching job is carried out directly before charging with liquid. Only thereafter, liquid charging-in and top-closing jobs are carried out in a sterilized atmosphere. Within the sanitary execution of these jobs, the spout introducing and sealing attachment are included for increasing the sanitary safety.

  • Patent number: 4787609
Abstract: A vibration isolating apparatus having a support shaft connected to either one of a vibration generating portion and a vibration receiving portion, a base member connected to the other of the two, and a resilient member interposed between the base member and the support shaft and deformable in response to the movement of the support shaft in a direction substantially perpendicular to the axis thereof. A stopper is provided on the side of the support shaft which is remote from a vibration absorbing liquid chamber for limiting the movement of the support shaft. Accordingly, even when a load acts on the support shaft and the base member in a direction in which they are pulled away from each other, the support shaft can reliably be supported by way of the stopper.

  • Patent number: 4788578
Abstract: An apparatus prepares a mounting sheet of originals upon which are drawn the original positioning or arrangement lines and an area to be trimmed. When originals are pasted on the sheet and scanned by a scanner, the picture data of an original is read out. In this apparatus, a magnification, a position and a direction of an original can be entered or inputted on a data tablet and in response to the input data, a mounting sheet is automatically prepared. An operator pastes a original along the original positioning or arrangement lines on the mounting sheet and a picture in the trimmed area is scanned. Furthermore, the apparatus automatically selects an optimum drum of a scanner depending upon the magnification of each original.

  • Patent number: 4786987
Abstract: A camera wherein a subject to be taken is pure-electronically still-photographed and recorded, and an image is reproduced by a television system and a printer. Resolution of the camera of this type is lower than that of the ordinary cameras. Accordingly, during the portrait photographing, it is necessary that the ratio of the face occupying in the taking background is made to be beyond a predetermined value. Then, when the taking distance is beyond a predetermined value, a warning is issued to call a photographer's attention to a close-in taking or automatically zoom-up.

  • Patent number: 4785714
Abstract: A positive-displacement fluid motor wherein a rotating member rotated by pressurized fluid flows to and from fluid chambers can be stopped at a desired one of at least one predetermined angular position by a torque produced by the motor itself. The fluid is supplied into at least one advancing fluid chamber of the fluid chambers which acts to rotate the rotating member in an operating direction of the motor, while causing the fluid to be discharged from at least one reversing fluid chamber of the fluid chambers which acts to rotate the rotating member in a direction opposite to the operating direction, if a motor stop command is generated when the desired angular position is ahead of a current position of the rotating member in the operating direction of the motor.
