Abstract: An organic EL element comprising: an anode, a cathode, and an organic layer sandwiched therebetween containing at least an emitting layer, wherein a ratio, [In3d5/2]h/[In3d5/2]n, is from 0.9 to 1.2 wherein [In3d5/2]h is the half band width of a spectral peak derived from a 3d5/2 orbit of an In atom in the surface of the anode, and [In3d5/2]n is the half band width of a spectral peak derived from a 3d5/2 orbit of an In atom in the interior of the anode, the spectral peaks being measured by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS): and the method for the production thereof.
Abstract: A resin-encapsulated package includes a semiconductor IC chip, in which the ratio of the size of the semiconductor IC chip to the package size of the resin-encapsulated package including the semiconductor IC chip is large to miniaturize the resin-encapsulated package. The resin-encapsulated package is capable of dealing with increase in the operating speed of the semiconductor IC chip. The resin-encapsulated package includes a semiconductor IC chip (110) sealed in a resin molding, and a lead member (130B) having an arrangement of a plurality of discrete terminal sections (130A). Each of the terminal sections has inner terminal parts (131) to be electrically connected to terminals (115) of the semiconductor IC chip, outer terminal parts (132) to be connected to external circuits, and connecting parts (133) interconnecting the inner and the outer terminal parts.

Abstract: A holder assembly for a hand-held device, such as a tape measure, includes a main body for holding the hand-held device, and a bracket that can be fixedly secured to the hand-held device. The bracket is accommodated in the groove of the main body when it is slidingly engaged into the groove from the side of a tapered end region. The main body includes a slider that is engageable with an opposite end region of the bracket when the bracket is accommodated in the groove, for preventing withdrawal of the bracket out of the groove of the main body. The slider is manually disengageable from the bracket for allowing the bracket to be removed out of the groove of the main body.

Abstract: The present invention is aimed at treating rainwater in a combined sewer system, while enabling removal of a majority of pollution substances even if a large amount of entering rainwater. Abstract: With a tag holding member and a device including the tag holding member, a commodity product can be detected by a detector even if the product is taken out of a packaging case. A holding member with a tag member includes a holding part having a groove for engaging with an upper end part of a chassis and a projection for engaging in an opening of the chassis, whereby the engaging part is engaged with and held by the upper side face and the opening of the chassis with high precision. The tag member is provided at a higher position than the upper end part of the chassis, and a distance from the outer cover can be set optionally. The holding member is held at the side face part of the chassis and covered with the outer cover, therefore the member can be held inside the commodity product.

The high purity liquid chemical is discharged due to (1) gas pressure from a gas from a source connected to the protective pressure container or (2) a pump associated with the liquid discharge pipe or (3) a gas from a source connected to the inner container. The inner container preferably is blow molded and has an olefinic resin inner layer, a solvent-barrier resin intermediate layer, and an external layer of a light-shielding substance-containing resin composition. The inner container has certain absorbance controls.
Abstract: An electromagnetic device of a switching apparatus including a mobile armature for rotating in a fixed frame between two inactive and active positions, at least one permanent magnet mounted in the fixed frame, and at least one coil mounted in the mobile armature and control means for delivering a control current into the coil. The mobile armature is monostable; in an inactive position, a lever actuated by the mobile armature separates the fixed contacts from the mobile contacts of the apparatus. In an active position, the lever is released from the mobile armature and a spring presses the mobile contact against the fixed contacts.

Abstract: A thin film transistor having a source region and a drain region having a low melting point region composed of a semiconductor with a melting point lower than that of the semiconductor of the channel region is provided. In the thin film transistor, the dopant concentrations of the low melting point region of the source region adjacent to the channel region and the low melting point region of the drain region adjacent to the channel region are precisely controlled.
