Abstract: A composition for promoting plant growth includes sulfur, soybean oil, and an emulsifier of a fatty acid and a saponifying aqueous base together forming an emulsion, or a soap or a detergent acting as an emulsifier. Regardless of the form of the emulsifier, a composition as applied to vegetation which has a basic pH of between 7.5 and 11 appears to improve efficacy. Specific aqueous compositions as applied for promoting plant growth include 0.05 to 2 total weight percent sulfur, 0.05 to 2 total weight percent soybean oil, 0.05 to 2 total weight percent fatty acid and an aqueous base present to provide a basic pH of between 7.5 and 11. A concentrate for the composition which upon dilution with water is well suited for spraying and promotion of plant growth is provided. Another specific composition for promoting plant growth consists of 0.05 to 2 total weight percent sulfur, 0.05 to 2 total weight percent soybean oil, an aqueous base present to yield an as applied pH of 7.

The tag contains specimen container characteristic information. The tagged container aids in indicating to a user whether the correct specimen container type has been chosen. Further, a system is provided which includes a sensor useful in indicating whether a sufficient quantity of specimen has been obtained in order to perform the requested laboratory test as part of the patient's care.
Abstract: An atomic scale electroconductivity device with electrostatic regulation includes a perturbing species having a localized electronic charge. A sensing species having an electronic conductivity is placed in proximity to the perturbing species at a distance sufficient to induce a change in the electronic conductivity associated with the localized electronic charge. Electronics are provided to measure the conductivity via the sensing species. A temporally controlled atomic scale transistor is provided by biasing a substrate to a substrate voltage with respect to ground.

Abstract: A toy is provided that has a dynamo for converting manual movement into an electrical charge for the dynamo located within a housing. A miniature vehicle is induced to locomote through receipt of the electrical charge. A dock is provided for selectively creating an electrical coupling of the vehicle to the dynamo to transfer the electrical charge and decoupling to allow the vehicle to locomote. A charge storage device and an electrical motor in the vehicle allow for prolonged vehicle locomotion separate from the charge transfer by the dynamo. A toy is also provided that has a dynamo for converting manual movement into an electrical charge, the dynamo located within a housing. The dynamo transfers an electrical charge to a wheeled miniature vehicle through an electrically conductive circuit about which the vehicle travels. Additional amusement functions of LED light output or speaker auditory output are optionally provided.
Abstract: A system for ensuring access management of a given site by providing integrated and comprehensive assessment of persons, livestock or objects that are given access to the site. The system includes a database of information about the site and potential accessors, a mobile wireless communication and scanning device to collect, retrieve and facilitate communication between a device user at the site as well as an administrator console. This system is flexible enough to maintain current information about the persons, livestock or objects requesting access to the site and communicating those results to the device user in real time. The system is further enabled through the Internet and the World Wide Web.
Abstract: A fluid flow regulating device is provided that maintains pressure and flow rate characteristics of a source fluid while the fluid is distributed to multiple delivery lines. The inventive device switches between multiple output ports in response to fluid pressure changes or by a mechanism driven by fluid flow. Thus, existing fluid delivery systems are easily expandable while avoiding installation of additional timing control mechanisms, electrical runs, or fluid sources.
Abstract: A process of digital electronic lien management is provided. Form data is stored in a first electronic database. A user adds lien input data in a second electronic database related to a specific construction lien project. A user then generates at least one lien form through insertion of the lien input data into the form data. The resultant form is transmitted to a recipient, who digitally modifies the form to create a modified version and electronically reconveys the modified version to the user.
Abstract: A moisture curable acrylic formulation is provided inclusive of a majority by weight polyacrylic prepolymer. The prepolymer has an average molecular weight of between 3,000 and 6,000 grams per mole and between 2 and 4 moisture curable functional moieties of isocyanate or silane per prepolymer. A thermoplastic adhesive resin is also included within the formulation. When the prepolymer functional moieties are all silane, the thermoplastic adhesive resin is ethylene vinyl acetate resin. A silane molecule is provided within the formulation as an adhesion promoter and also affords a degree of storage stability through sacrificial reaction with water during storage. The resultant formulation achieves a shear strength of at least 10 pounds per square inch when applied to a thickness of 0.75 millimeters between a glass substrate and a vinyl article 15 minutes after application at 120° Celsius in ambient atmospheric air.
Abstract: An animal litter is provided for simultaneously delivering urine-absorbent and mental-stimulating properties of the litter. The litter includes in combination a plurality of urine-absorbent particles forming a litter particulate component and a plurality of unfoldable polymeric cylinders constituting a polymeric cylinder component and intermixed with the urine-absorbent particles. The polymeric cylinders have a mean cylinder height of between 1 and 30 millimeters, a ratio of cylinder height to cylinder diameter of 1:1 to 12:1, and a strip length to cylinder height ratio of greater than 10:1. The litter particulate component is present relative to the cylinders in a volume ratio of 1:1 to 25:1. The litter provides mental stimulation and boredom reduction of a caged animal.
Abstract: A process of enhancing insulin excretion in a subject includes administering to the subject a polyphenol active ingredient. The polyphenol active ingredient is a purified cyanidin-3-glycoside alone or purified cyanidin alone. The pharmaceutically acceptable carrier is administered with the polyphenol active ingredient.
