  • Patent number: 7640219
Abstract: Systems and methods of classifying a subject data item based on a training set of pre-classified data items. A piecewise-linear approximation of a local boundary between different classes of data items is automatically computed. The local boundary is approximated by a neighborhood set of data items selected from the training set that have been pre-classified into different classes and have points similar to a point of the subject data item. A class is automatically assigned to the subject data item in accordance with a side of the local boundary on which the subject data item resides.

  • Patent number: 7635285
Abstract: A network connection system for connecting computer and telephone network components, including a twisted pair cable termination connector for use with twisted pair cable, the twisted pairs being arranged within an outer cable jacket such that each twisted pair substantially occupies a cross sectional quadrant of the cable. The connector includes a pair separator having four passages arranged to substantially keep the four twisted pairs in a quadrant relationship relative to one another and in which the twisted relationship of each twisted pair is maintained substantially until the conductors are electrically terminated to their respective conductive contact member; and a mating component adapted to couple with the twisted pair cable termination connector.

  • Patent number: 7635827
Abstract: A cooking apparatus powered by a detachable electrical control, the apparatus having a cooking surface and a support member hingedly attached to the cooking surface. The support member has a folded position generally parallel to the cooking surface and an extended position generally perpendicular to the cooking surface. A barrier element extends generally perpendicularly from the support member. An inlet port is disposed on the cooking surface, defining an opening, and having a connector sized to fit the detachable electrical control. The inlet port is electrically connected to the heating element and disposed on the cooking surface proximate the barrier element such that the barrier element obstructs the inlet port's connector when the support member is folded under the cooking surface and the barrier element does not obstruct the inlet port's connector when the support member is unfolded and generally perpendicular to the cooking surface.

  • Patent number: 7628367
Abstract: A mounting system for coupling an electronic display device to a fixed structure includes a support structure mountable to the fixed structure and a rotating assembly. When the fixed structure is a suspended ceiling, the support structure may replace a suspended ceiling tile, fit into a suspended ceiling tile, or may be affixed to the ceiling structure above the suspended ceiling tile. The rotating assembly may include a first turntable, a second turntable, and a structure for receiving a mounting column. The first turntable rotates with respect to the support structure about a rotational axis, and the second turntable is rotatable with respect to the first turntable about a second rotational axis. The first rotational axis and the second rotational axis may or may not be offset from each other. The mounting column is positioned on the second turntable.

  • Patent number: 7627153
Abstract: Systems and techniques for reducing repositioning inaccuracies in imaging systems. Initial image data and positional information is received and cross-correlated with additional image data and positional information. An offset may be determined based on the cross-correlation.

  • Patent number: 7627719
Abstract: The invention provides a cache device and method for performing a cache process on a cache memory having a high capacity in a high speed. The cache processing section performs a cache process composed of two-stage processes, a query process (P1) and a subsequent process (P2). In the query process (P1), the respective index tables and the identifier table are used to query whether the target identifier is present in the cache memory at a step (S101). If it is present, a data address of the target identifier in the cache memory is transmitted to the CPU. Otherwise, a data address of an identifier for a previously prepared ultimate LRU in the cache memory is transmitted to the CPU at a step (S102). In a subsequent process (P2), adjustment operations for the respective tables, regarding insertion of an identifier for a new data and deletion of the identifier for the ultimate LRU data, are performed at a step (S201).

  • Patent number: 7626689
Abstract: A method for analyzing the imaging behavior of a first optical imaging element, in which an object is imaged by a second optical imaging element and light in the image plane is detected in a spatially resolved manner. The two optical imaging elements differ in at least one imaging characteristic. Values are determined for intensity and at least one second characteristic and then stored in image points, and processed in an emulation step. An emulation image is produced, taking into account the influence of the second characteristic. A series of images is produced by dividing a range of values of the second characteristic into subdomains, associating an image with each subdomain, and associating the corresponding intensity value with the image points of each image, in case the value of the second characteristic, associated with the image point, falls in the subdomain associated with the respective image.

  • Patent number: 7622878
Abstract: A wiper unit controller for performing wiping at an accurate intermittent wipe cycle. The controller stores a maximum resistance value of a variable resistor having a resistance value that varies in accordance with the intermittent wipe cycle. When a reference time elapses after calculating a resistance value that exceeds the stored maximum resistance value, a computer renews the maximum resistance value with a new maximum resistance value.
