Abstract: A portable utility light, including a reel assembly, a power connector, and a light assembly. The reel assembly includes an electrical cord, and a reel encased within a housing and capable of winding and unwinding the electrical cord. A power connector electrically couples one end of the electrical cord to a power source, such as a vehicle's cigarette lighter receptacle or 12 volt accessory power outlet. A lamp, or flashlight, is electrically coupled to the other end of the electrical cord. Connectors coupled to the electrical cord are removably attachable to the housing of the reel assembly.
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for making a radiation heating structure comprising a heating film electrically powered to produce Joule heating, a radiating film comprising radiating additives and a thermally insulating film. The insulating film and the radiating film are fixed on either side of the heating film. The structure is obtained by double injection of polymerizable resins in a heating mould, a first resin being filled with radiating additive on the side of the heating film and a second more fluid resin on the side of the insulation.
Abstract: Pumping system comprising: a progressive cavity pump comprising a helical rotor inside a helical cavity of an outer stator; motor for driving the rotor, with a motor shaft coaxial to the axis of the stator cavity; and an intermediate shaft coupled, at its ends, by respective couplings, to the rotor shaft and to the motor shaft. Two devices consisting of two of these connected parts are constructed as a male device terminated by an axial stub and a female device terminated by an axial housing receiving the stub, at least two radial screws, not aligned, one of which is a cone-point set screw, connected the stub to the female device.

A portion of an air processing apparatus is disposed within the cabinet-like base and configured to move ambient air through the cabinet-like base to generate processed air. An exhaust structure is operatively coupled to the cabinet-like base and configured to enable the processed air to exit the presentation apparatus via a flow path that is spatially associated with a substantially predetermined position of the object.
Abstract: A digital fingerprint recognition method providing the steps of activating an image distortion software program on a computer, displaying a digital fingerprint image on a screen of the computer in a presentation environment for the image distortion software, and distorting the digital fingerprint image so as to correct a fault in the fingerprint detected on the digital fingerprint image. The computer system having a man/machine interface, a processing unit that is used to analyze a digital fingerprint image, coupler for accessing one or more files containing at least one digital fingerprint image and an image distortion software program that is used to display a digital fingerprint image on the man/machine interface and to distort the digital fingerprint image by the man/machine interface.
Abstract: A new, neutral gender MT-type connector ferrule and adapter are being disclosed. The ferrule consists of a body with a number of optical fiber channels and two, not removable, guide pins. The ferrule does not have a male/female configuration. In our invention, the guiding pins are fixed to the ferrule body and located in the recessed portion of the body in such a way that they do not protrude beyond the face (contact surface) of the fibers. This design has several advantages over the standard MT-type ferrule. The new ferrule is easier to terminate, easier and less expensive to produce and improves the optical performance of the connection by increasing the positioning accuracy of the mating fibers. Connector systems based on this new ferrule design need a novel mating adapter. The design of this adapter is shown in this invention. The new adapter has V-grooves to hold, under pressure, the guiding pins of the ferrules. This zero-gap design contributes to the higher performance of the system.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a one-piece axle tube housing with localized sections of increased wall thickness includes providing a tube blank, inserting a mandrel having a reduced diameter profile, passing the tube through an extrusion die to conform the tube to the shape of the mandrel; and extraction of the mandrel from the tube to cause outward deformation of the tube at specific locations. A further reducing step may be used to form the final desired profile, including reduced inner and outer diameters along sections of the axle tube housing.

Abstract: A blister pack for dispensing pills that is childproof yet senior-friendly. The blister pack includes a substantially tear-resistant housing that encloses one or more blisters contained on a blister sheet and surrounded by criss-cross grain material to provide cut or tear resistance in multiple directions. In one embodiment, the cavities of the blisters are positioned such that the pills are aligned at an angle with respect to the corresponding dispensing slots on the housing in their normal position. The blisters are detachably attached to a zipper strip on the blister sheet to prevent undesired rotation of the blisters. Upon removal of the zipper strip, the blisters may be twisted until their pills are substantially aligned with their respective dispensing slot. The blisters may then be depressed to remove the pills from the cavities of the blisters by pushing the pills through the foil sheet that covers the slots.
Abstract: An adjustable caster comprising a reversible mounting bracket offering added flexibility in adjusting the height of the caster and configured to removably attach to a structure to be supported by the adjustable caster; an internally threaded sleeve mounted to and extending from the mounting bracket, the sleeve having proximal and distal ends and a sleeve axis extending there between; an externally threaded stem configured to be removably threaded into the sleeve at either the distal or proximal end; a caster wheel assembly attached to the stem; and an adjustment assembly operatively associated with the stem and fully accessible to a user of the caster when the caster is assembled and the mounting bracket is attached to the caster-supported structure, the vertical adjustment assembly configured to adjust the vertical displacement of the stem along the sleeve axis.
Abstract: An adjustable automotive clothes rod assembly having multiple telescoping clothes rod segments that may be securely attached to one another through a T-shaped male member having a pair of wings and a keyhole-shaped female member having a pair of channels for accepting the wings of the male member. Each of the clothing rod segments comprises an outer sleeve and an inner sleeve that is sized to permit it to move in telescopic relation to the outer sleeve. The end of the inner sleeve includes a retaining end member for attaching the clothes rod assembly to the inside of a vehicle. In a preferred embodiment, the retaining end member includes both a loop and a hook for attaching to a hook or a handle of a vehicle, respectively. The inner sleeve also preferably may be selectively secured within the outer sleeve to maintain the clothes rod assembly in either extended or retracted position.
Abstract: A method of distributing and assembling a conveyor belt cleaner comprises manufacturing a first key component at a first point of fabrication in a longer than needed standard length, obtaining a first common component at a second point of fabrication, cutting the first key component to a desired length, and assembling the first key component with the first common component at the second point of fabrication. The method further comprises manufacturing a second key component at the first point of fabrication and assembling the second key component with the first common component at the second point of fabrication. In another aspect of the invention, the key components are manufactured into desired lengths and are sold as part of kit to be assembled to by the end user of the conveyor belt cleaner.

Abstract: The present invention provides a water treatment system, such as a water softener, with a resin tank having a top distributor with a preliminary screen and second screen. The preliminary screen provides added protection by reducing the chance of larger particles from entering the various valves and screens. Prior to the regeneration cycle, an additional back wash and fast rinse cycle are added to rinse sediment to the drain and to clean the preliminary screen.
Abstract: An optical fiber interconnect system comprising a connector for carrying an array of optical fibers along a longitudinal axis. The adapter comprises a push-push coupling mechanism configured to receive and couple with the connector upon application of a first pushing force to the connector. The connector is disengaged and may be withdrawn from the adapter upon application of a second pushing force upon the connector. The pushing forces can be applied at a pushing region by using a stylus member. Spring-biased automatic shutters are included in the adapter to provide protection against dust and other contaminants, as well as eye injuries, when only one of the connectors is inserted in the adapter. The release mechanism that disengages the connector and adapter facilitates the handling of a small connector. When the release is operated, the separation of the connector and adapter is initiated actively without the need of a strong pull.
