Also disclosed is a rail fastening using the rail support.
Abstract: A hip, ridge or rake shingle comprised of a plurality of panels sandwiched on each panel portion side of a layer of shingle material, such that each panel portion can be folded along a fold line, and wherein tabs are provided for each panel portion, adapted to be bent backwardly upon themselves, sandwiching thickening panels therebetween. The shingles can be laid up on a hip, ridge or rake of a roof, to yield desirable thickened features.

Abstract: An expandable frame for a storm door mounted onto the header and door jamb in an entrance, a frame kit, and method of installation. The expandable frame includes an expandable header assembly, an expandable lock-side assembly and a hinge-side piece. The header assembly includes a frame mount and a header stop mounted onto the underside of the header, the hinge-side piece is mounted vertically against the door jamb on one side of the entry, and the lock-side assembly includes a lock-side stop and a frame mount mounted vertically onto the door jamb opposite the hinge section. A user can adjust the position of the header assembly and lock-side assembly to accommodate a door having smaller dimensions than the height and width of the entrance.
Abstract: The invention can be used in pipelines, any devices, man holes and arrangements, at any pressures and working conditions for closable large-diameter pipes. The object of the present invention is to improve serviceability of a gate. The inventive gate comprises a lid consisting of a flange and a bottom which is caved-in inwards the pipe, a sleeve provided with a supporting ring which is welded to the bottom, arresting elements in the form of sectors inserted into a circular recess of the pipe when they are radially displaced on the flange along clamping bolts and on the supporting ring by the action of the inclined surface of a drive nut, are arranged on the end face of the flange and on the supporting ring. The nut is embodied in the form of a truncated pyramid provided with T-slots on lateral surfaces thereof.
Abstract: A movable beverage cooler includes a storage organizer below an insulated cooler tub. The storage organizer has a plurality of adjustable horizontal racks for accommodating individual rows of various sized containers. The racks employ grip-in-place sidewall adjustment pads. The tub has a drop-in top, sliding door sub-assembly, with locking screws. The storage organizer may be enclosed with access through sliding doors. The structure is supported on legs with adjustable leveler extensions.
Abstract: An integrated voltaic energy system incorporates a bio-friendly DC power generator with a photovoltaic (PV) system connected to feed a main service panel and a utility grid. A plurality of inverters are connected one each, to a respective output of one of a plurality of photovoltaic (PV) solar arrays. The outputs of each of the inverters are connected to a main service panel and a utility grid. A further inverter is connected to the DC power generator and in parallel with the other inverters. The DC power generator is also connected to each of the PV solar panel inverters through a switch operated at a specific time manually or automatically. When switched the DC power generator feeds all of the inverters. A resistor/capacitor structure is connected between the DC power generator and each inverter. A self-powered timer may control the output level of the DC power generator.

Abstract: One method for controlling edge thickness includes applying a coating to a moving substrate, thereby forming a film having a cross direction and a machine direction and one or more edges. The method also includes modifying a thickness of a first portion of the coating along one of the edges of the film, thereby forming a film having a substantially predetermined profile in the cross direction. A method of making a polymeric sheet includes applying a polymer to a moving substrate, thereby forming a sheet having a cross direction and a machine direction. This method further includes removing a first portion of the polymer from a first edge of the sheet, thereby the sheet having a substantially predetermined profile in the cross direction.

Abstract: A dual locking system having a manual lock and an electrical lock, and a shuttle connected to both the manual lock and the electrical lock. The shuttle is moveable by either the manual lock or electrical lock between an engaged position in which a hook on the shuttle can engage a prong and a disengaged position in which the hook does not engage a prong. Upon de-energization of the electrical lock, the shuttle remains in the engaged position if the shuttle was in the engaged position prior to de-energization and the shuttle remains in the unengaged position if the shuttle were in the unengaged position prior to de-energization. The dual locking system is incorporated in a latch.
Abstract: A roof membrane is disclosed, for use in simulating a standing seam metal roof when applied to a roof surface and a roof system is also provided, that employs the roof membrane, disposed between longitudinal, but spaced-apart, generally parallel roof battens. Underlayments of various constructions are also provided, beneath the membrane, as an option. Caps are provided for upstanding legs of the roof battens.
Abstract: The present invention concerns apparatus for comminuting agglomerates and similar material to be comminuted, comprising a rotor (1) which is drivable in rotation and which has a plurality of blade-like comminuting tools (24) which can be brought into contact with the material in order to comminute same. In order to provide an apparatus for comminuting agglomerates and similar material as well as a corresponding method, which ensure a better comminuting effect and thereby and also by further measures substantially prevent material caking phenomena it is proposed in accordance with the invention that the comminuting tools comprise narrow knives (24) whose thickness measured in the axial direction of the rotor does not exceed 20 mm and whose repetition spacing in the axial direction is a maximum of 50 mm.

Abstract: The present invention is based on imparting of oscillatory motion to a rotor and to a coaxial balanced body relative to a fixed point selected at the common axis of the rotor. To eliminate an interference of imbalance datum planes on the parameters to be measured, at one stage of measurements the fixed point is used as the crossing point of the rotor axis with one of the imbalance datum planes, whereas at the next stage the rotor is along its axis by a fixed distance to a second position. The measured parameters are used to determine imbalance parameters in two imbalance datum planes.
