Abstract: A call arrival notification method for a motor vehicle provided with a telephone system and a theft-preventing system allows the telephone system to be set to the call arrival notification mode. When a call arrives in the call arrival notification mode, the telephone system signals the call arrival to the theft-preventing system. The theft-preventing system transmits indication of the call arrival to a remote control unit which turns on/off the operation of the theft-preventing system, and the remote control unit provides a call arrival notification by a recognizable sound and display.
Abstract: A code reading apparatus of a bar code reader which has detecting means for outputting a reading signal responsive to the code displayed on a medium, edge detecting means for detecting the edge of the reading signal, counting means for starting counting each edge detected by the edge detecting means. Discriminating means outputs a reset signal to decoding means when the counted value started for counting by the counting means is a product or more of the quotient produced by dividing the allowable maximum width of the code by the allowable minimum width and the counted value counted between the edges immediately before by the counting means, when the quotient produced by dividing the counted value started for counting by the counting means by the counted value counted between the edges immediately before is a quotient or more produced by dividing the allowable maximum width of the code by the allowable minimum width.
Abstract: A method of re-correcting the position of a head is used in a disk driving device including a zero track restoring arrangement for electrically detecting the zero track position on a magnetic disk, and including a track counter indicating the track position of the magnetic head. The method is configured to monitor the track number of the track counter and never fails to effect re-correction of the position of the head when the track number is "0" or "1".

Abstract: A communication apparatus is used in a radio control apparatus for remotely controlling the locking and unlocking of the doors or trunk of a vehicle and other uses. In this communication apparatus, a leader pulse having a predetermined duration is transmitted from the transmitter to the receiver prior to transmission of data. The receiver is intermittently operated for a period shorter than the duration of the leader pulse by periodic operating pulses issued for connecting its circuits to a battery power source, and detects the transmission of a leader pulse in order to hold the receiver in the operating condition for a predetermined period sufficient to receive the following data pulses.
Abstract: An automatic fine tuning (AFT) circuit for a CATV receiver system of a double conversion type having a first local oscillator and a second local oscillator and a first mixer and a second mixer respectively supplied with oscillation outputs from the first and second local oscillators is disclosed. A reception signal is sequentially subjected to frequency conversation by use of the first and second mixers so as to attain an intermediate frequency signal of a predetermined value.

Abstract: A photodetecting circuit for detecting radiation emitted from a light emitting element in the presence of ambient radiation is disclosed. The circuit includes a first and a second synchronizing on/off input signal having a predetermined period, each signal being complementary to the other. When the first synchronizing signal is "on", the second synchronizing signal is "off" and the circuit can detect the amount of ambient radiation. When the first synchronizing signal is "off", the second synchronizing signal is turned "on" and the light emitting element is energized and the circuit detects the amount of radiation emitted therefrom. The circuit prevents erroneous readings of radiation emitted from the light emitting element when the amount of detected ambient radiation is high.
