  • Patent number: 7530207
Abstract: Pre-engineered buildings require insulation for heating and cooling due to thin metal paneling. Buildings lose heat highly through the roof. To lessen building heat loss, contractors install insulation between purlins. During construction, contractors may need temporary support for insulation. The insulation retaining member provides temporary support with a tube and a hook assembled into a walking cane like shape. The hook has a general J shape with a shank and an opposite barb. The shank inserts into the tube and is crimped. In use, a contractor places the hook over the flange of a purlin then swings the tube to rest upon the flange of an adjacent purlin. The insulation then rests upon the tube when applied.

  • Patent number: 7520925
Abstract: A filter silencer with quick disconnect lid has a cylindrical hollow casing, an inlet, a filter within the casing, a spring loaded seal plate beneath the filter, a flange opposite the inlet, and a lid turning to connect to the flange. The inlet admits blower air into the casing generally beneath the spring loaded seal and the air enters the sides of the filter. The air travels upwards through the filter and exits through the lid. Wear pads beneath a locking ring engage the tapered ears upon the lid. The lid has an outlet through which filtered air discharges. The lid has ports for monitoring differential pressure and air temperature while the casing has a port for a pressure relief valve.

  • Patent number: 7520218
Abstract: A golf or other ball initialing device including a molded ball holder, that incorporates an arcuate slot into which one or more initialing or numbering stencils may be applied, and when pressure fitted upon the ball, allows for the application of a marking pen to trace and imprint letters or numbers onto the surface of the ball, as desired. In addition, a stencil cap may be applied, of the same construction as that as previously defined, but held in position by means of a fastening strap, about the ball, as initialing is performed.

  • Patent number: 7500851
Abstract: An orthodontic arch expander joins to a mouthpiece proximate to the rear of the mouthpiece. The transparent mouthpiece has a desired arc that fits over the teeth of the upper jaw. The mouthpiece has two wings that join near the incisors and then become parallel and spaced apart around the molars. Near the molars, an arch expander joins to the mouth piece. The arch expander has two telescoping shells with a threaded jack and cooperating springs. Each shell joins to a corresponding wing of the mouthpiece. Turning the jack lengthens a rod that pushes the shells outwards against the mouthpiece thus widening the maxillary arch without brackets or bands upon the teeth. An alternate embodiment has the arch expander attaching directly to the palatal bone through screws placed through a grommet at the end of each shell by an orthodontist or oral surgeon.

  • Patent number: 7497324
Abstract: A right angle conveyor has a first trough and a second trough to move product by reciprocating motion with the second trough at an angle to the first trough. Rocker arms and corresponding reactor springs joined to a chassis form the first and second troughs. The first trough has a motor upon the chassis, eccentric cam, and a linkage to induce reciprocating motion into the conveyor. To induce reciprocation, the first trough has a first bracket connected to a yoke upon a trunnion joined to the chassis, a yoke connected to a slave drive spring bracket, a slave spring connected to the slave drive spring bracket and to a second bracket, the slave spring connected to a second bracket beneath the second trough. The yoke has three pinned connections to permit rotation.

  • Patent number: 7494000
Abstract: A snack dispenser comprises tiers stacked to resemble a wedding cake. Each tier includes a trough divided into transparent slots into which a snack may be placed. The troughs are mounted on a rotatable carousel having a transparent front shell with transparent locked doors therein. The doors are unlocked by a door control mechanism when coins of proper monetary value are inserted into a coin box. The coin box accepts and learns the value of different types of coins, or accepts personal identification numbers. Opening the door blocks the rotation of the carousel, blocks the opening of other doors, and resets the credit of the coins inserted. When closed, the door locks all doors until additional coins are inserted. Servicing the dispenser includes removal of the front shell, removal of empty tiers, and replacement of replenished tiers. All segments can be removed and collapsed into a flat position.

  • Patent number: 7490618
Abstract: A forearm crutch cover that provides padding in the forearm cradle to increase the comfort of the user and covers the pivoting attachment junction that attaches the forearm cradle to the pole of the forearm crutch to help prevent injury or damage caused at the pivoting attachment junction when the forearm cradle is moved. The cover may also include a forearm strap to prevent the cradle from slipping off the arm. An elastic tongue may act as a reset for cradle to prevent the cradle from falling downward and allows easy access to the cradle for the user.

  • Patent number: 7485330
Abstract: A biscuit treat for dogs has improved palatability by incorporating a highly palatable shelf stable meaty filling into a cavity formed upon the top surface of the biscuit. The meaty filling includes agar as a gelling agent in combination with sufficient soluble solids to yield a high Brix number and reduced water activity. Precise quantities of agar and of a soluble solids concentration exceeding 65% eliminate capillary transfer of moisture from the highly aqueous meaty filling to the low moisture dry biscuit. The resulting highly palatable two phase biscuit has a long shelf life suitable for commercialization in the pet treat market.

  • Patent number: 7464488
Abstract: The present invention pertains to footwear where the tongue, or strap, may be reversed, in order to change the aesthetics, coloration, indicia, or other appearance of the footwear. A sandal has an outer strap that reverses upon manipulation by the wearer, where the outer strap turns to expose one surface, which may have a stylized and attractive finish provided thereon, or it may be reversed, so as to change the coloration, indicia, design, or other appearance aspects of the sandal. Alternatively, the outer strap joins to a strap designed to contact the instep of a foot. Rotation of the outer strap occurs without removal of a foot from the strap or the sandal.
