  • Patent number: 6278713
Abstract: A data transmission and receiving network includes a plurality of nodal apparatus for sending and receiving digital data in variable length data slots. The nodal apparatus includes a storage device for maintaining a conflict resolution queue representative of nodal apparatus sending simultaneous requests for transmission causing a collision during a control minislot. The nodal apparatus also includes a transmission queue stored in the storage device. The transmission queue is indicative of nodal apparatus that have successfully transmitted during a minislot and are thus queued for transmission of data in data slots. The apparatus includes a transmitter for sending a variable length data slot signal comprising digital data in response to the state of the transmission queue. The nodal apparatus also includes a receiver for receiving a variable length data slot signal.

  • Patent number: 6273533
Abstract: A frame piece for a rack of a switching cabinet. With minimum material an optimum result is obtained with regard to fastening planes and fastening direction as well as stability. A profile inside and a profile outside are used to form the frame piece as a closed hollow profile with one or two longitudinally directed hollow spaces. The profile outside delineates a free space to an outside corner edge of the rack. The profile inside has a profile section with several rows of fastening seats or several profile sections at an angle with respect to one another with at least one series of fastening seats. The profile inside and the profile outside form outside edges in a region of the right-angled abutting outsides of the rack. The outside edges are designed as double-layer sealing struts or connected to them in a direction to the outside corner edge connecting struts with or without receiving grooves for sealing elements.

  • Patent number: 6267109
Abstract: A warming device having a base plate on which is positioned a heat source. A plurality of carrier struts are pivotally mounted with respect to the base plate and are circumferentially arranged and each have a part surface. The part surfaces together form a standing surface. On the carrier struts are arranged lugs which each has an eccentric platelet and a lug pin. An actuation element, such as an annular disk, has radial slots into which the lug pins engage. By rotating the actuation element all carrier struts can be pivoted with the part surfaces to vary a size of the standing surface.

  • Patent number: 6250639
Abstract: This invention relates to a seal for protecting an end of an idler roll against contaminants. The seal includes a fastener engageable with the end of the idler roll and an integral first sealing member molded onto the fastener and extending radially outward from the fastener. A second sealing member is integrated with the first sealing member. The first sealing member and the second sealing member project into frictional engagement with the end of the idler roll. When assembled with the end of the idler roll, the first sealing member and the sealing member are biased into frictional engagement with the end of the idler roll, thus protecting the end of the idler roll from contaminants in wet environments.

  • Patent number: 6248279
Abstract: A method and apparatus for encapsulating a ring-shaped member, such as a wound coil of wire, a wound metal ribbon, or a metal composite material. The ring-shaped member is mounted upon a mandrel. The mandrel and the mounted ring-shaped member are positioned in a first mold. A thermoplastic material is injection molded peripherally about a first inner void between the mandrel and the ring-shaped member and a first outer void between the first mold and the ring-shaped member. The mandrel is moved with respect to the ring-shaped member. The mandrel and the re-mounted ring-shaped member are positioned in a second mold. The thermoplastic material is injection molded into a second inner void between the mandrel and the ring-shaped member and within a second outer void between the second mold and the ring-shaped member. The second fill of the thermoplastic material joins with the first fill to fully encapsulate the ring-shaped member.

  • Patent number: 6244085
Abstract: A pressing tool for connecting pipe-shaped work pieces wherein the pressing tool has a fork-shaped receiver and a clamping tool interchangeably held in the receiver by a connecting bolt. The pressing tool has two clamping jaws which can be moved toward each other. A drive motor operates the clamping tool. The connecting bolt can be pushed through bores in the fork-shaped receiver and in the clamping tool, for maintaining the clamping tool in an exchangeable position within the fork-shaped receiver. A contactless electronic tracing device is arranged in the fork-shaped receiver, which determines a relative position of the clamping jaws in relation to the fork-shaped receiver.
