Abstract: A signal 101 from a transmitting station includes: an address 102 specific to a message receiving apparatus; a specific message 103 that is an advance notice indicating receipt of a large-volume message; and a message main body 105. The message receiving apparatus includes: a receiving section 11 that outputs a data string by demodulating the signal 101; a decoder 13 that subjects the data string to an error correcting process, converts the corrected data string into a message, and makes an address collation; an analyzer 14 that analyzes the message and outputs a control signal to a total control section 16 if the analyzed message is a specific message; a buffer 15 that stores a message main body; and the total control section 16 that stops a peripheral device section 17 in accordance with signals obtained from the decoder and the analyzer and controls display by sending a message in the buffer 15 to the peripheral device section 17.

Abstract: A holder (10) for a vacuum cleaner dust bag which is removably arranged in the vacuum cleaner and includes a sleeve (14) on which an open end (13) of the bag (11) is received. Two or more clamping blocks (17) at least partly surround the sleeve and can be moved in a radial direction toward and away from the sleeve in order to secure the dust bag to the holder and release the dust bag from the holder.
Abstract: A method for operating an upright wet extractor having a base and a handle. The base includes a floor cleaning tool and has a hand held cleaning tool permanently attached thereto. A motor fan unit is operated to generate a suction force and this suction force is selectively communicated to a suction inlet of one of the hand held cleaning tool and the floor cleaning tool. When the suction force is communicated to the hand held cleaning tool suction inlet, pressurized cleaning fluid is also supplied to that tool, and when the suction force is supplied to the suction inlet of the floor cleaning tool, a brush unit is rotated in the floor cleaning tool.

Abstract: Apparatus and method for concentrating metallic aluminum from dross comprising a system in which dross is repeatedly and continuously passed through an impact type mill to mill the material and to enable the metallic aluminum concentrates to be separated from the non-metallic components of the dross. A portion of the milled material is continuously diverted by a percent divider to a screening zone where it is classified according to particle size. Through-put devices regulate the average number of passes that material is circulated through the mill in accordance with particle size to obtain a product of relatively high aluminum concentration and a by-product of a relatively low aluminum content.
Abstract: Two enclosure are secured together to provide a safe the size and shape of a box spring for supporting a mattress. Wheels and handles are provided for transport. Fasteners for the enclosure, wheels, and handles are accessible only from the interior of the enclosures to inhibit unauthorized movement of the safe.
Abstract: Electronic directory comprising:a data base (16) with at least one file (18a, 18b, 18c), each file having informations corresponding to alphanumeric characters and respectively associated with a plurality of references of the directory,at least one input interface (22a, 22b) on which a user can enter at least one alphanumeric character for locating a reference,at least one processor (20) for selecting in at least one file references having each acquired alphanumeric character andat least one output interface (26a, 26b) for transmitting to the user the informations associated with each selected reference.
Abstract: A two-dimensional code reader for precisely and fast reading a two-dimensional code image containing luminance unevenness caused by variations in illumination, etc. To binarize cells, first the gray levels of the pixels at the center points of the cells are extracted, a local threshold value is found only from the extracted gray levels, and the gray levels are compared with the local threshold value, thereby binarizing the cells.

Abstract: An apparatus for separating outer layers or shells from the internal seed of plant matter comprises a plant matter inlet (12), a seed outlet (14) and a generally vertical separating chamber (16) interposed between the inlet and outlet. The separating chamber is cylindrical and includes a plurality of axially spaced apart inwardly facing nozzles (18) and a plurality of spaced apart apertures (20). The apertures are a size smaller than the seeds being separated to allow only the outer layer or shells to pass therethrough. A separating chamber includes a plurality of inclined to horizontal baffles (21) to increase the residence time in the plant matter in the chamber.
Abstract: A magnetoresistive component and transducer for use therewith. The magnetoresistive component has a multilayer-type magnetoresistive strip bent in accordance with a repeated geometrical pattern (7a,7b). The pattern has at least one series of substantially parallel sections (7a,7b) for reducing the demagnetizing fields. The magnetoresistive strip (2) is formed from a stack (13) of magnetic metallic material layers (14) separated by non-magnetic metallic material layers (15). The magnetoresistive component is applicable to a transducer for reading information recorded in magnetic form or for detecting weak magnetic fields.

Abstract: A swing-out supporting arrangement (7) primarily intended for a wall-mounted oven (1) of domestic type comprises a bottom plate (6) supported by link arms (9, 10), said bottom plate (6) and an insert (8), possibly associated with said bottom plate, being retractable from the oven (1) by a swing-out movement without the use of any front door. The bottom plate (6) with the insert (8) can be moved between a first position inside the oven and a second swing-out position below and in front of the over front wall (2). Preferably, the swing-out movement is performed by means of an electric motor which is rotatable between two end positions. The principle of invention can also be used for a ceiling plate (4) supported by link arms, said plate being swingingly displaced in a corresponding lifting movement from an oven positioned at a low level.
