Abstract: This invention relates to a telephone handset transformable into a telephone headset. The assembly includes a main unit (10) fitted with a first receiver and a microphone and a unit (12) movable in relation to the main unit that can incorporate a second receiver. The movable unit (12) is connected to the main unit (10) by a connecting component (14) made up of at least two arms (26, 28) adjustable in length and at least partially retractable. They are connected by at least one articulation boss. The microphone is retractable or is integrated into the main unit and then articulated in relation to the connecting component. When the telephone unit passes to an open position, it is transformed into a telephone headset without interruption of reception or transmission.
Abstract: An upholstery nozzle for a vacuum cleaner including an inlet part, an outlet part (12) and an intermediate channel (13) extending between the inlet and outlet parts. The inlet part includes an elongated nozzle opening (11a) and a spot suction nozzle 11(b). The spot suction nozzle (11b) is arranged close to the nozzle opening (11a) and is in direct communication with the intermediate channel (13).
Abstract: The invention relates to a composition and a process for the reactive brazing of ceramic materials containing alumina. This composition comprises at least one precious metal chosen from among Pd, Pt and Au, as well as magnesium, preferably at the most 5 wt. % magnesium. Brazing takes place at a temperature of 1300 to 1600.degree. C., in the absence of hydrogen.
Abstract: An off-hook/on-hook signal discriminating means 5a is provided in a control portion 5 of the FSU in order to make discrimination between a pulse dial signal and a hooking signal. When a telephone turns to an off-hook state after an on-hook state and turns to an on-hook state again and the on-hook state is continued for a predetermined time, the FSU performs a terminating process so as to be returned into a standby state. When an off-hook signal is detected again in a time smaller than a predetermined time, the FSU recognizes that the signal is either a dial pulse signal or a hooking signal, and the off-hook/on-hook signal discriminating means 5a monitors the time required for detecting an on-hook signal again. When the time required for detecting an on-hook signal again is smaller than the predetermined time, the FSU decides that the signal is a dial pulse signal, and controls a tone generating circuit 7f to stop the dial tone.

Abstract: A cooking surface has a thickness between 0.05 and 3.0 mm to optimize between highest efficiency, lowest magnetic stray field, and desired surface material. In the thickness range of 0.05 to 0.2 mm, a top layer may consist of plasma sprayed hard ceramic such as alumina which can be impregnated with poly-tetra-fluor-ethylene. In the thickness range of 0.2 to 2.0 mm, the top layer may consist of glass fibre reinforced material which can be impregnated with poly-tetra-fluor-ethylene and can be of a hardened quality. In the thickness range of 1.00 to 3.00 mm, the top layer may consist of a vitroceramic or glass material.
Abstract: A metallized film capacitor formed by laminating or winding a metallized film 1 with metal evaporated electrode on one or both sides thereof so that a pair of metal evaporated electrodes 2 are opposite to each other, wherein electrode lead-out portions 3 are provided at both ends of the capacitor, each metal evaporated electrode is composed of a low resistance area abutting on the electrode lead-out portion and a remaining high resistance area having higher resistance than it, a split electrode pattern with a plurality of minute blocks 8 formed in a longitudinal direction and width direction and fusing areas 9 between the adjacent minute blocks is formed on at least one of the metal evaporated electrodes, and electrode partitioning lines 7 are formed at regular intervals in a longitudinal direction of the film.

Abstract: A grid tee of the double web type in which the elements of the web are integrally stitched together to prevent their separation. The stitches are created in an inexpensive rolling process that does not require control of the position of the stitches relative to the ends or other parts of the tee. According to the invention, after the stitches are formed and locked, they are flattened back into the plane of the web to a limited degree where they do not substantially increase the thickness of the web so that they do not interfere with subsequent manufacturing steps or with field assembly.
Abstract: A generating apparatus for feeding a current to a battery using a magneto as a power supply is disclosed which is capable of varying a magnetic field acting on generating coils to widely control characteristics of the magneto. A rectifying/switch circuit is arranged between the magneto and a load, which incorporates the battery. The rectifying/switch circuit includes diodes and switch elements. The diodes are 2n (n.gtoreq.2) in number and are bridge-connected to each other. The switch elements are connected to the diodes by reverse parallel connection. A switch control unit applies an AC control voltage of a predetermined phase from the battery through the rectifying/switch circuit to the generating coils, so that a phase of the AC control voltage may be varied to widely vary characteristics of the magneto.
Abstract: The proposed installation comprises an abrasive liquid jet cutting module using a mobile nozzle (25) rotatable in all directions and which also supports a sensor (37) so that it can previously recognize the position or shape of the structure to be cut, a dosimeter (49) to measure its irradiation and a decontamination device (51) to eliminate all excess contamination from it. Cutting residue may be collected by suction. The installation is more universal than previously known installations.

Abstract: A zinc oxide dispersion for use in rubber compounds having at least 40, preferably 74-92, weight percent zinc oxide powder and at least five weight percent of a binder selected from the group consisting of asphalt and terpene tackifiers. The dispersion also preferably includes at least 0.5 weight percent stearifying agent such as stearic acid.
Abstract: The invention is directed to a co-extruded tape or yarn of the ABA-type, as well as to a process for producing such a tape, comprising a central layer and two top layers, the composition of the central layer (B) and the top layers (A) being different, wherein the central layer (B) is based on at least one propylene polymer, or on at least one ethylene polymer having a density of more than 935 kg/m.sup.3, and the top layers (A) are based on at least one ethylene copolymer with one or more C.sub.3 -C.sub.8 olefins, and the tape or yarn having a thickness of 50 to 150 .mu.m and a stretch ratio between 6 and 10.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a cutting filament intended for trimming and cutting vegetation, such a cutting filament being used on rotary-head motorized cultivators such as brush cutters and edge trimmers. During use such cutting filaments generate a substantial and unpleasant amount of high-frequent noise which is added to the noise of the motor for driving the rotary head. These noises lead to outdoor noise pollution. Legislatory requirements aiming to limit the noise to a level deemed to be acceptable are being drawn up and could shortly come into force. The cutting filament according to the present invention is characterized in that the cutting filament (1; 10') has undulations (2; 6; 12') that recur in the longitudinal direction of the cutting filament (1; 10').
