Abstract: The object of the present invention is the identification of a group of peptides able to break the interaction between the mutated protein p53 (hereinafter m-p53) and the proteins p63, p73 and the relative isoform proteins (hereinafter p63, p73 and p-isoforms) in the m-p53/p63, m-p53/p73 and m-p53/p-isoforms proteinic complex that has formed in the nucleus of tumor cells. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a method for causing the breakage of said proteinic complexes existing in the tumor cell lines in vitro. The present invention further relates to the use of said peptides for the preparation of a pharmaceutical composition for treating human tumors.

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide an image processing apparatus capable of obtaining a sharp image having less noise, comprising: a horizontal edge strength calculating unit 22 for calculating an edge strength along a horizontal direction of a concerned pixel; and a prefilter 24 for carrying out a filter processing based on the horizontal edge strength, and performing noise reduction and edge enhancement, a vertical edge strength calculating unit 23 for calculating an edge strength along a vertical direction of the concerned pixel; and a prefilter 25 for carrying out a filter processing based on the vertical edge strength, and performing noise reduction and edge enhancement, thereby enabling to sharpen image data in the vicinity of the concerned pixel respectively along horizontal and vertical directions, and obtain an image having less noises as well as sharp for edge directions.
Abstract: Hinged connecting apparatus (1) for a lower limb prosthesis (2), the hinged connecting apparatus (1) comprising a first device (1000) intended to oppose a predetermined resistance during flexion of the prosthesis (2), this resistance being switched by said first device (1000) between two values which are a predetermined minimal value and a predetermined maximal value.
Abstract: A method comprising applying controlled flow cavitation apparatuses and holding tanks to a pretreatment process in order to reduce the free fatty acid content of a biodiesel feedstock. A feedstock comprising a high content of free fatty acids can be passed through controlled flow cavitation apparatuses and holding tanks at a velocity capable of generating hydrodynamic cavitation zones and subsequent dwell times where the free fatty acid content can be reduced to below 2%.
Abstract: The transport device comprises a screw conveyor (5), in a casing (5a) of which a propeller (5b) rotates. The device also comprises an elastic cradle (7), interposed between the casing (5a) of the screw and the propeller (5b), internally of which the propeller (5b) of the screw rotates.
Abstract: The present invention is for providing a radio terminal device having shock resistance and high rigidity capable of preventing breakage of the housing even in the case it is dropped from a hand, without the risk of deteriorating the performance of the stored antenna. The radio terminal device according to the invention comprises a printed board, a resin housing provided so as to cover one side surface of the printed board, a metal housing provided so as to cover the other side surface of the printed board, and an antenna provided on the one surface side of the printed board, wherein the resin housing and the metal housing are divided in a region elongating from the one side surface to the other side surface of the printed board.
Abstract: A spatial filtering adaptable for an interference wave that appears unsteadily can be implemented and also an interference canceling ability can be increased even in a condition that the interference wave does not steadily exist. At a time of non-active communication, the signals from a plurality of interference source radio communication devices 2 are received in advance by an interference signal receiving section 6 as the pre-process mode, then a resultant interference correlation matrix RI is stored in a storing section 7, and then an interference wave receiving antenna weight WI used to receive selectively the transmission signals from the interference source radio communication devices 2 is prepared based on the resultant interference correlation matrix RI.
