Abstract: A machine for producing a nonwoven feeds continuous filaments onto two surfaces that form a convergent passage. At least one of the surfaces is moving to drive the continuous filaments through the passage to form the nonwoven web. The continuous filaments have filament portions that are respectively received on the two surfaces to form spaced lateral web parts joined by a central web part formed by the continuous filament portions bridging the convergent passage. A vacuum is applied through the surfaces to assist placement of the filament portions and to direct the web as it emerges from the passage onto a horizontal take-up conveyor.

Abstract: There is provided a plasma display panel including: a front plate having display electrodes, a dielectric layer, and a protective layer formed on a glass substrate; and a rear plate that has electrodes, barrier ribs, and a phosphor layer formed on a substrate and is disposed opposite to the front plate. Peripheries of the front plate and the rear plate are sealed to form a discharge space, the display electrodes contains at least silver, the dielectric layer is configured to include a first dielectric layer that covers the display electrodes and second dielectric layer that covers the first dielectric layer and contains bismuth oxide, the thickness of the first dielectric layer is equal to or larger than 5 ?m and equal to or smaller than 13 ?m, and the ratio of the thickness of the first dielectric layer to the thickness of the display electrodes is larger than 1 and equal to or smaller than 3.

Abstract: The invention relates to a spray arm bearing (1) with a bearing element (2), for mounting a spray arm (20) and a flow-guide device (3), connected to the bearing element (2), whereby the bearing element (2) comprises a through opening for the passage of fluid. According to the invention, the base area (D2) of the flow-guide device (3) corresponds to the base area (D1) of the through opening or lies within the base area (D1) of the through opening.

Abstract: A cover grating for a drainage channel or a similarly hollow body which can be installed in the ground is presented, wherein the cover grating is produced in a single piece and more particularly from a sheet metal strip, comprising at least two longitudinal webs extending on the underside of the cover grating and inlet slots formed in the cover grating between these longitudinal webs and comprising transverse webs resulting from the slot forming operation and extending on the lower side of the cover grating wherein the transverse webs are provided at each of their end regions with at least one receiving projection which at least partially engages in to a respective complementarily formed receiving slot in the longitudinal web.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a bituminous mastic, in other words a mixture comprising on the one hand at least one bitumen-based hydrocarbon binder, More particularly a blown bitumen, and on the other hand fines, including an ultrafines fraction. The invention also relates to poured asphalts and bituminous coatings comprising a bituminous mastic. A method of producing such bituminuous materials is described, as are the road-building and industrial applications of these materials.

Abstract: An L-shaped clip for mounting a trim member along an exposed edge of a suspension ceiling includes a support leg to be longitudinally secured to a grid tee and a perpendicular face leg to be secured to the trim member. The support leg includes offset clip walls for engagement with offset tee walls and clip abutment surfaces for engagement with tee abutment surfaces. The offset walls and abutment surfaces cooperate to assist in the alignment and mounting of the clip to the grid tee at different relative heights. A single clip may be mounted to either a T-shaped grid tee or an open channel grid tee.

Abstract: A system for testing radio frequency (RF) communications of a device capable of such communications is provided. The system includes a chamber for isolating the device from RF interference, an antenna that is suitable for RF communications with the device wherein the antenna is capable of communications over a range of frequencies, the antenna being located within the chamber, and a digital communication link for providing non-RF communications with the device.

It comprises a parameter memory means for storing parameter settings, which parameter settings are obtained from user input received through a user interface in response to the signals perceived by the user in the fitting mode. And it comprises a signal processor using the parameter settings for correcting audio signals at least in the listening mode. The user interface is comprised in the hearing device and the hearing device comprises an audio signal source, in which audio signal source the audio test signals are stored or generated.

Abstract: A mechanical component production method of a MEMS/NEMS structure from a monocrystalline silicon substrate includes forming anchoring zones in one face of the substrate. A lower protective layer, non-silicon, obtained by epitaxy from the face of the substrate is formed on the face. A silicon layer obtained by epitaxy from the lower protective layer is formed on the lower protective layer. An upper protective layer is formed on the silicon layer. The upper protective, silicon and lower protective layers are etched according to a pattern defining the component, until the substrate is reached, providing access routes to the substrate. A protective layer is formed on the walls formed by the etching in the epitaxied silicon layer. The component is released by isotropic etching of the substrate from the access routes, wherein the isotropic etching does not attack the lower and upper protective layers and the protective layer of the walls.

Abstract: Cooling is provided for a gas turbine combustion system that includes a first member, such as a liner, having exterior and interior surfaces that define a wall therebetween and a central area. A second member, such as a cap, is located adjacent that interior surface. A source of cooling gas is in fluid communication with the exterior surface of the first member. An open space, in which is located a hula seal, is located between the interior surface of the first member and the second member. At least one opening in the wall of the first member provides a passageway for the cooling gas from the exterior surface of the first member to the open space. The passageway has a directional axis along which the cooling gas flows and is discharged into the open space. The directional axis is substantially oriented in a direction other than a direction towards the central area of the first member.

Abstract: A baghouse and filter assembly are provided for at least partially removing particulate matter from a gas stream. The filter assembly includes first and second filter portions to be coupled together by a coupler for establishing fluid communication between the first and second filter portions when connected. The coupler includes a first coupling portion including a side wall defining an interior passage through which the gas stream can pass in an axial direction between the first and second filter portions, and one or more flanges projecting from said side wall, the one or more flanges supporting a plurality of male studs. Abstract: The present invention provides a composite nozzle cap having a first part made of metal and an outer tip of a polymeric material. The first part mechanically secures the nozzle into the nozzle housing by engaging the nozzle housing and pressing against a base flange on the nozzle to clamp the flange between the first part of the nozzle housing. The second part extends away from the nozzle housing and is mechanically secured to the first part. An inner face of the second part contacts the nozzle tip to prevent melt flow between the second part of the nozzle tip. An outer face of the second part contacts the gate insert to avoid melt flow between the second part and the gate insert. As the second part is of a polymeric material, it avoids the heat transfer concerns associated with a metallic interface between the nozzle tip and the gate insert.

Signals, or parameters of a transfer function, are changed smoothly in order to form a smooth transition from a momentary to a desired value. Thereby, the advantage is obtained to eliminate undesired abrupt switching operation when a hearing program switching is necessary.

Abstract: A range-changing circuit for a measurement device having a desirable range includes an array of graduated impedances. And amplifier supplies an electrical voltage to at least one of the impedances of the array. A voltage sensing and limiting switch is provided in a feedback path of the amplifier. The switch limits said electrical voltage supplied to said at least one of the impedances in response to a sensed voltage that is sensed by the switch. An electrical voltage in the desirable range is developed across a different one of the impedances of the array based on an operation of the switch.

Abstract: A medical apparatus comprises a user interface for setting parameters and includes: a screen for visualizing values of said parameters, a main control unit connected to the interface, a first memory and a video memory both connected to the main control unit for storing data corresponding to images on screen; the main control unit allows setting of a new value for a parameter, displays the new value on a screen region, stores the new value in the first memory, captures from the video memory data representative of said screen region, verifies from said representative data if the displayed value corresponds to the value in the first memory. A method for setting up a medical apparatus is also disclosed.
