  • Patent number: 7856780
Abstract: The invention relates to panels having a decorative surface for forming a flooring, to a method for producing the decors and to a flooring made up of said panels. The invention finally relates to a decorative paper. The aim of the invention is to provide panels that allow to produce an inexpensive flooring having a high-quality appearance and to provide a corresponding method for producing them. For this purpose, the décor surfaces of panels on at least one end each are optically adapted to each other to such a degree that, when the panels are laid, they give a continuous image of the décor at the transition from one laid panel to the adjacent laid panel. The wood décor has a continuous image within the meaning of the invention if the grain of the depicted wood is optically uninterrupted at the transition from one laid panel to the adjacent laid panel, i.e. when there is no offset between the respective depicted grains. The same applies for other decors, for example stone decors.

  • Patent number: 7854469
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for reducing aerodynamic drag experienced by an over-the-road vehicle while underway. A frame assembly including a fastening fixture couples the apparatus to the vehicle, and a first airfoil including a first outward air deflecting surface deflects a portion of the airflow directed toward a first tire laterally outward toward an externally exposed side of the first tire. A second airfoil including a second outward air deflecting surface deflects a portion of the airflow directed toward a second tire laterally outward toward an externally exposed side of the second tire. The first and second airfoils are spaced laterally apart from each other when coupled to the vehicle by the frame assembly to define an aperture between the first and second airfoils through which at least a portion of the airflow directed toward the axle assembly is to pass while the vehicle is underway.

  • Patent number: 7850028
Abstract: The invention relates to a child-proof capsule with a security strip (12) the capsule comprises an internal cap (4) which can be removably applied on a neck (2) of a container (1). An external cap (5) is applied and constrained on the internal cap (4). The external cap (5) is free to move in an axial direction from a first position in which free rotation is possible between the external cap (5) and the internal cap (4) to second position in which the external cap (5) and the internal cap (4) are solid in rotation. The security strip (12) is made in a single piece with the internal cap (4) and is of annular shape with a V-section. When the capsule is mounted on the container, a free circumference (12b) of the security strip (12) engages with an annular projection (15) fashioned on the container (1). In a connection zone between the security strip (12) and the peripheral edge (4a) of the internal cap (4) there is a plurality of circumferential cuts (16), not conjoined, which occupy all of the connection zone.

  • Patent number: 7853057
Abstract: A threshold value T which is a little larger than voxel values of a target tissue such as bloodstream is determined. Next, a virtual ray is projected, and voxel values on the virtual ray are obtained as an array A1 (original array). Then, an array A2 (replaced array) is generated by the voxel values of the array A1 which are equal to or larger than the threshold value T are flipped-over at the threshold value T. Then, a part of the data on the array A2, e.g., flipped-over data corresponding to the center part of the calcified region is excluded. Next, a maximum value M2 on the array A2 is obtained, and a value M1 on the array A1 corresponding to the value M2 is obtained. Then, the value M1 is employed as a pixel value for the virtual ray.
