The server then generates a notice comprising an apparent IP address, a time the server received the request, and a communication; and sends the notice to the notice destination via a standardized communications pathway. An ISP can receive a notice from the server via the standardized communication pathway, and based thereon can identify the account holder based the requesting IP and optionally the request time.
