  • Patent number: 6310826
Abstract: A semiconductor memory device includes a memory circuit from which data is read in correspondence with a first reference clock signal. A multiplexer outputs the data read from the memory circuit in correspondence with the second reference clock signal. A comparison determination circuit receives the data read from the memory circuit via the multiplexer and compares the read data with an expected data value in correspondence with the second reference clock signal to generate determination result data.

  • Patent number: 6309529
Abstract: The invention provides a method for producing a sputtering target material including electrolyzing a molten salt mixture containing a precious metal salt and a solvent salt, to thereby deposit a precious metal or a precious metal alloy. The method enables simplification of production steps and produces high-purity target materials. In addition, the electrodeposited precious metal or precious metal alloy is heat-treated at a temperature of at least 800° C. but lower than the melting point of the precious metal, to thereby produce a target material of higher purity.

  • Patent number: 6310843
Abstract: A clock signal generating system of the present invention is provided for recording information on a disc. The disc has a plurality of recording tracks wobbled by a wobble signal having a predetermined frequency and a plurality of prepits disposed at positions having a predetermined phase relation with respect to a phase of the wobble signal. A clock signal is generated based on the wobble signal. A prepit signal is produced from the prepit. The phase of the wobble signal is compared with a phase of the prepit signal, thereby generating a phase adjusting signal. The phase of the clock signal is adjusted based on the phase adjusting signal. A recording clock signal for recording the information is produced by an adjusted clock signal.

  • Patent number: 6309921
Abstract: The semiconductor device comprises a semiconductor substrate 10 of a first conduction-type, first wells 20a, 20b of a second conduction-type formed in a first region on the primary surface of the semiconductor substrate 10, a second well 22a formed in a second region on the primary surface of the semiconductor substrate 10 other than the first region, a third well 22b of the first conduction-type formed in the first well, and high-concentration impurity-doped layers 26 of the first conduction-type formed in deep portions of the semiconductor substrate spaced from the primary surface of the semiconductor device in device regions. In the semiconductor device having triple wells according to the present invention, the high-concentration impurity-doped layers are formed in deep portions inside of the device regions. Accordingly, in the case where the wells have a low concentration so that the transistors have a low threshold voltage, the deep portions of the wells can independently have a high concentration.

  • Patent number: 6310572
Abstract: A series to parallel A/D type converter converts an analog input signal to a digital output signal. The A/D converter has an upper rank comparator which performs A/D conversion of upper order bits and a lower rank comparator which performs A/D conversion of lower order bits. An input control circuit receives the analog input signal and generates a first input signal which is provided to the upper rank comparator and generates a second input signal which is provided to the lower rank comparator. Both the upper and lower rank comparators receive the respective first and second input signal from the input control circuit and compare the respective input signals with predetermined reference voltages to generate a digital output signal.

  • Patent number: 6311118
Abstract: A system for controlling a speed of a vehicle having a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and a cruise controller which controls the traveling speed of the vehicle to a desired speed in response to the instruction to cruise control inputted by the vehicle operator. In the system, the detected throttle opening is smoothed or filtered such that the speed ratio of the continuously variable transmission is controlled based on the smoothed throttle opening and the detected vehicle speed when the instruction to cruise control is input. Alternatively, a parameter indicative of upslope of the road where the vehicle climbs is determined and the speed ratio is controlled based on the parameter and the detected vehicle speed. With this, the system can reduce the engine speed fluctuation and can prevent the vehicle operator from feeling uneasy when the cruise control is effected.

  • Patent number: 6310925
Abstract: According to the present invention, in accordance with the first to fourth quadrants on the phase plane for signal points, a phase angle detector converts an I channel signal or a Q channel signal obtained by a demodulator, by using individually set operating expressions, so as to correlate the angle (phase angle) for a signal point on the plane phase with a predetermined one-dimensional coordinate. More specifically, the phase angle that extends from a border point in an arbitrary quadrant on the phase plane to a border position shifted 360° is allocated for a specific one-dimensional coordinate. The coordinate value on the one-dimensional coordinate is calculated by using the operating expression which is set in accordance with the first to the fourth quadrant of the signal point which is detected using the I channel signal and the Q channel signal.

  • Patent number: 6307536
Abstract: For example, when moving a cursor by a pointer of a note-type personal computer, the cursor can be rapidly moved to a target position, and can be stopped there. When the pointer is operated, the cursor intermittently moves in such a manner that the movement for a predetermined time period t1 and the stop for a predetermined period t2 alternate with each other. At this time, although the predetermined time period t1 of movement of the cursor is constant regardless of whether the amount of the inputting operation, applied to the pointer, is small or large, the speed of movement of the cursor is proportional to the inputting operation amount, and the predetermined period t2 of stop of the cursor is inversely proportional to the inputting operation amount.

  • Patent number: 6305362
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an evaporative emission control system which can properly control the ratio between a tank purge amount and a canister purge amount to realize quick pressure reduction in a fuel tank and ensuring the storage capacity of a canister in a well balanced fashion. A target pressure in controlling the pressure in the fuel tank at a negative pressure and a detected pressure in the fuel tank are compared with each other. When the difference between the target pressure and the detected pressure is large, tank purge is preferentially carried out to open a tank pressure control valve. When the detected pressure is in the vicinity of the target pressure, canister purge is preferentially carried out to purge the evaporative fuel stored in the canister.
