  • Patent number: 6319473
Abstract: After sintering of a CO sensor using an SnO2-based metal oxide semiconductor, Ir and Pt are added to the sensor at 5˜500 &mgr;g/g SnO2 each, the weight ratio of Ir and Pt being 5˜1/5. This addition is made by impregnating a mixed aqueous solution of an Ir salt and a Pt salt into the SnO2 sintered body and thermally decomposing these salts. Next, an aqueous solution of thiourea is impregnated into the SnO2 sintered body to add thiourea at 0.01˜10 mg/g SnO2 in reduction to simple S element. The temperature and humidity dependency of the CO sensor is suppressed, the CO concentration dependency of the output is increased, and the sensor resistance is brought to a more convenient range of use.

  • Patent number: 6319115
Abstract: An indoor space is externally enclosed and thermally insulated by an underfloor insulating layer, a wall insulating layer and a ceiling insulating layer. An underfloor ventilation layer is defined between a floor and the underfloor insulating layer, and a ceiling ventilation layer is formed between a ceiling and the ceiling insulating layer. Communication is established through the underfloor ventilation layer, the indoor space and the ceiling ventilation layer, via floor vents and ceiling vents. Outdoor air is drawn into the indoor space from an air intake. Air is expelled from the ceiling ventilation layer into an underroof space by ventilation fans and then discharged outdoors from underroof outlets. A heat exchange ventilator is disposed in the ceiling ventilation layer, whereby heat exchange takes place between air in the ceiling ventilation layer and incoming fresh outdoor air. After the heat exchange, the incoming air is delivered into the underfloor ventilation layer.

  • Patent number: 6320787
Abstract: According to the present invention, access to a password area in a nonvolatile memory cannot be granted by simple supply of an address in a normal order. According to one preferable mode, for instance, a trap address is set in the password area so that reading information from the password area is permitted only when the password area is accessed without accessing the trap address, whereas when the password area is accessed through the trap address, information reading is inhibited, or meaningless data is output or the information in the password area is destroyed. According to another preferable mode, the order in which access is made to the password area can arbitrarily be set so that accessing the password area in this order alone can permit the password area to be read, whereas when access to the password area is made in a different order, information reading is inhibited, or meaningless data is output or the information in the password area is destroyed.

  • Patent number: 6320362
Abstract: The present invention relates to a passive auxiliary circuit for driving power switches connected in series for much higher rating of a power system. The passive auxiliary circuit for an IGBT power switch connected in series with another, comprises two capacitors, which are connected in series across the IGBT; two resistors dividing a voltage applied across the IGBT, each resistor being connected in parallel with each capacitor; and a diode and a third resistor which are connected in series between a gate terminal of the IGBT and a node connecting the two capacitors, wherein the diode is placed such that its cathode is directed to the gate. This passive auxiliary circuit, whose structure is so simple, is able to distribute a supplied high voltage equally over series-connected IGBTs, to reduce additional power loss remarkably, and to relieve transient overvoltage like as a conventional active gate circuit.
