Abstract: An output shaft of a wiper motor is connected to a wiper to transmit a rotational force of the wiper motor to the wiper to reciprocally swing the wiper between an upper return position and a lower return position in response to forward and backward rotations of the output shaft upon energization of the wiper motor. When the wiper is stopped at the lower return position, the control unit executes a stop position holding control operation in such a manner that the control unit controls a rotational direction of the wiper motor to apply a rotational force to the wiper in a downward direction and controls the rotational force of the wiper motor based on a speed of the vehicle to substantially maintain the wiper at the lower return position.
Abstract: A map data processor includes: a road map database storing a road map data having a link data with setting information of the link and road network information with connection information between links; a communication element obtaining a new link data with connection object setting information of a connection object link and coordinate information of one end of the new link from an external device; and a controller. The controller extracts a link data of a link in a predetermined geographical area with a center of the one end of the new link. The controller determines that the new link is connected to an extracted link when the connection object setting information matches the setting information of the extracted link data. The controller registers the new link data and connection information between the new link and the connection object link in the road map data.

The second substrate is bonded to the first substrate so that a sealed space is provided between a predetermined surface region of the first substrate and the second substrate. The second regions include an extraction conductive region, which is coupled with a corresponding first region.
Abstract: An A/D converter device is provided, which has a D/A conversion function and changes a resolution of A/D conversion and D/A conversion. The A/D converter device is configured to selectively execute an A/D conversion operation and a D/A conversion operation, by the operation of a control circuit controlling switching of switches according to an ADC/DAC function switching signal supplied from an external side. The A/D conversion operation performs A/D conversion of an input signal voltage inputted via a signal input terminal from an external side and outputs an A/D conversion value of 12 bits. The D/A conversion operation outputs, via a signal output terminal, an analog voltage produced by performing D/A conversion of a digital value supplied from the external side.

Abstract: An object of the invention is to reduce an influence of deviation in pressure increasing performance, which would be caused by individual differences of pressure increase valves, so that a desired braking force may be obtained. A moderate pressure increasing operation is carried out for wheel cylinder pressure of a wheel, which is on a high ?-road, wherein a demand differential pressure for a pressure increase valve is set at a first target pressure for a first time period and then switched to a second target pressure for a second time period. The influence of the deviation may be absorbed during the moderate pressure increasing operation, so that a difference of wheel cylinder pressure between front left and front right wheels may be reduced.
Abstract: In an airbag-equipped steering wheel, a plurality of horn switch mechanisms assembled to a bag holder each have a securing pin, which is inserted into a corresponding one of through holes formed in a metal core. A clip is engaged with a locking groove of each securing pin, so that each horn switch mechanism is fastened to the metal core. The through holes include one or more normal through holes that restrict inclination of the corresponding securing pins, and a special through hole that has an inclination permitting portion. The inclination permitting portion permits the corresponding securing pin to be inclined about the corresponding clip 13 serving as a fulcrum. In the special through hole, the securing pin is permitted to be inclined about the clip serving as a fulcrum only when the clips are disengaged from the securing pin in all the normal through holes.

Light radiated from the ABS enters the polarizer, and an alignment of the slider and the LD unit is performed while the photo detector detects the light transmitted through the polarizer.
Abstract: A pupil detecting apparatus detects an edge of a pupil in an image of a face. An outline of an upper eyelid is also detected. The apparatus selects an effective edge extending along the pupil by removing a part of edge extending along the upper eyelid from the edges detected. Then, the apparatus applies the circle Hough transformation to the effective edge in order to obtain a center of the pupil and a radius of the pupil. Thereby, it is possible to detect the pupil accurately even if a part of the pupil is covered.
