    Abstract: In a transmission timing control apparatus, a state variable signal affected by a phase representing the data transmission timing of a neighboring node is used to determine the data transmission timing of the own node. A node information transmitter/receiver transmits source identification information particular to the own node and source node information of a data signal received by the own node, and receives node information transmitted from the neighboring node. A neighboring node information collecting circuit collects neighboring node information of all neighboring nodes having received data signals, based upon the source identification information received by the node transmitter/receiver and the source node information.

Intensity of reflected light varies, due to optical anisotropy of the nanowires, along a polarizing orientation of light incident on the nanowires.

    Abstract: An acoustic wave sensing device integrated with micro-channels and a method for the same are described. The present invention uses a piezoelectric substrate with a thinner portion serving as a sensing area and formed via a micromaching or chemical process. An inter-digital transducer (IDT) is located on the thinner portion to produce flexural plate waves (FPW). The micro-channels can be formed together with the thinner portion via the same manufacturing process, or integrated into the piezoelectric substrate via linkage. In the present invention, a novel manufacturing process and design are proposed for fabrication of the acoustic wave sensing devices with a good piezoelectric characteristic, a stable temperature compensation property, and a robust structure. Thereby, the techniques of flexural plate waves can be applied for liquid sensors. In this way, the drawbacks of the conventional acoustic wave sensing devices, such as poor piezoelectric properties and fragile film structures, are removed.

The pivoting leaf is mounted in the rotating clamp. The limiting segment is mounted around the pivoting leaf to selectively limit rotation of the rotating clamp. The stationary leaf is mounted rotatably on the pivoting leaf and is mounted securely in the mounting base. The spring is mounted between the pivoting leaf and the stationary leaf. Consequently, the hinge allows the clamp device to hold the tablet computer securely on the extension pad.

    Abstract: A powering circuit of an AC-DC converter, for converting a high AC input voltage into a low DC output voltage to provide a load voltage in a stable DC bias range, includes a rectifier, a sensing circuit, a control switching circuit, and a voltage regulating capacitor. The rectifier has a primary side coupled to an AC power supply and a secondary side for outputting a DC power supply. The sensing circuit compares the AC input voltage with a preset reference voltage, and turns on a second switch in the control switching circuit when the AC input voltage is lower than the reference voltage, thereby providing a low DC output voltage. The control switching circuit sustains the DC output voltage in a stable DC bias range. Therefore, in addition to reducing the power consumption of the second switch, this circuit structure is simple and can achieve the purpose of circuit integration.

For each packet, a common write pointer corresponding to identification information appended to the packet is generated. Each gateway unit writes the packet to its own jitter buffer in accordance with the common write pointer corresponding to each supplied packet, sequentially reads out the written packet from the jitter buffer, and generates a TDM signal. One of the gateway units is selectively switched and only the TDM signal generated by the one gateway unit is supplied to a TDM network.
