Abstract: An apparatus for grooming snowmobile trails is towed by a dirigible tracked vehicle and includes a generally horizontal main frame, a gooseneck hitch supporting the forward end of the frame in towing engagement with the tracked vehicle, a packing roller supporting the rear end of the frame which serves to pack the snow being groomed, a moldboard scraper mounted between the packing roller and the gooseneck hitch which serves to scrape and level the snow being groomed, and a cutting blade assembly mounted forwardly of the moldboard scraper cuts, breaks and moves snow to fill in grooves and level ridges. A floating pan secured to the rear end of the main frame smoothes the snow following packing by the roller. The snow breaking and cutting blade assembly includes a pair of opposed, spaced-apart cutting blades pivotally secured to the frame and inclined inwardly and rearwardly, and a central V-shaped cutting blade pivotally secured to the frame with the apex thereof directed forwardly.

Abstract: An irrigator for applying an irrigating solution to internal body cavities. A housing defines a first chamber for holding a supply of irrigating solution liquid for irrigating a body cavity and a second chamber for receiving waste liquid from the body cavity. A first single action pump in the housing receives a measured quantity of liquid from the first chamber and pumps the same into the body cavity. A second single action pump in the housing withdraws waste liquid from the body cavity and discharges the liquid into the second chamber. The first and second pumps are of the piston and diaphragm type, and each is provided with a port in communication with a single common conduit connectable with the body cavity.

Abstract: A fitting, for pipe of flexible plastic material, having improved sealing and mechanical holding characteristics. The fitting includes a main body having an external screw thread terminating at a shoulder from which a coaxial, reduced-diameter, nipple projects. Annular saw tooth or buttress ribs on the nipple are dimensioned to have a slip fit into the interior of a plastic pipe section. A collet is slideable on the exterior of the pipe section into abutment with the shoulder and is radially compressed by a collet sleeve threaded onto the external threads of the fitting body. Axial slots in the collet open alternately at opposite ends of the collet so that radial compression is achieved over the entire length of the collet. Saw toothed or buttress annual ribs on the collet interior bite into the exterior surface of the pipe section in opposition to the ribs on the inserted nipple, the pipe wall being thereby radially clamped between the collet and nipple.
